Nice for young girls

Quick Take: not for sensitive skin
Bought this for my young 6 year old daughter. It really dried out her sensitive skin, and had to stop using the soap. It smells super, just like vanilla cake. I believe all of these soap/shampoo sets are just not for dry/sensitive skin. Shame, because they are fun!

Quick Take: cute
I sent this to my sister on her birthday and she loved it. The vanilla body wash/shampoo smelled very good and the lip gloss was pretty standard. I also included the NAILS INC. Sprinkles Nail Polish to the order... which made it a super cute, themed gift. I live in NYC and my sister lives in Chicago and when she called to thank me, she said the gift was amazing and "so NYC" haha... very good gift for a friend, sister, etc.

Quick Take: good value
I was very excited to finally try a philosophy body product after seeing them around for years. I've recieved a vanilla birthday cake body wash for my birthday last year from Sephora (thank you) and was very happy to try it, unfortunately it got lost while I was traveling so I never did...So you could say I had a lot of hype myself about this product.
Anyway, I tried the body wash and was not impressed. It's smaller then you would think but fits in the shower caddy nicely. I put a generous amount on my wash cloth and went to work. It lathers up nicely but smells of vanilla. Not vanilla bean but the vanilla used in sugary sweets. To some that might be nice, but to me it was very offputing. It's almost too sweet. The scent also didn't last after the shower, I asked others if they could smell it and they couldn't. As for removing dirt and oil...I'm not to sure. I felt like it wasn't clean so I followed up with my usually wash.
Now for the lipgloss.
Very generous with the size, I was impressed. Unfortunately like the body was it has the super sweet and fake vanilla smell. As for the formula...I hated it. I am a lip product person and immediately knew it was no good. The texture is sticky and hard to move, almost like using maple syrup. The shine was great however, if you like shine.

Yes, I love the box it came in so much that i kept it. Also the bow on the box doesn't stick up as shown in the picture.

Quick Take: a perfect set for any birthday girl
I purchased this gift set as a little something extra to give to my sister for her birthday. The little girl featured on the packaging looks a lot like she did at the same age. Well, the packaging was a hit, of course, but my sister also adored the yummy fragrance. It was a nice compliment to her other gift and she loved it. No need for gift wrap, as it is adorable just the way it is! OK price and I've used Philosophy products and know that the quality is there. A nice birthday set for girls of all ages . . . (My sister turned 55 and it brought back lots of childhood birthday memories . . . Thanks for that Philosophy and Sephora!)

This is the perfect little birthday gift for every girl/woman on their special day. My teenage step sister and my grown sister in law both adored this present from me! I got this as a birthday present for a girl that I know through one of my very good friends, so it's the perfect girly present to show someone you care without spending a ton of money. And it's also adorable! I love Philosophy's packaging; with a Sephora bag you are good to go.

I just ordered and received two of these sets for my daughter-in-laws as their birthdays are August 19 and August 20!! Like me, they always love and appreciate the products that Philosophy puts out and I know these will make them totally happy!! This set smells oh so wonderful and yummy!! You can't go wrong with it and the packaging is also reusable and just adorable!! I can't wait to give these to them!! Love Philosophy...always have and I always will. Thanks Sephora!!
