Pucci Vivara Variazioni Verde 072

In Vivara Variazioni Verde 072, the color green serves as a metaphor. It brings you closer to the fresh hues of nature and pays homage to the kaleidoscopic ribbons of color that Italian fashion designer Emilio Pucci made legendary in the 1950s. Breathe in the scents of thriving green plant life on the Mediterranean island of Vivara: this fragrance opens with a fresh, green note of mint leaf that echoes with the sparkling citrus essence of bergamot. At its floral heart, a delicate essence of neroli bigarade lies with a sweet hint of Turkish rose. Its woody base notes unfold with a touch of cedar and the soft tenderness of tonka bean absolute. Notes:Mint Leaves, Bergamot Oil, Neroli Bigarade Oil, Turkish Rose, Cedar Wood, Feve Tonka. Style:Green. Floral. Crisp.

Mood lifter on a muggy day
-06.11.12
I just received my Sephora shipment and was so excited to smell this, having bought it in tested mainly because I loved the bottle. It was perfect! Light and refreshing scent, and it's been very muggy today and this just totally makes me feel so much more refreshed.

A new favorite

Quick Take: crisp and clean, long wearing
I work in a business with lots of close contact with people, but yet I can't have something thick on like Angel or Daisy. Someone recommended Vivara Aqua 330 first, and I fell in love. So, when I found this in the same line... I just had to try it.
Verde 072 is crisp, clean, and wears for the majority of my 12 hour shift. I get lots of client compliments on it! Now I'm just paranoid that Sephora will stop carrying it!

I really, really like this fragrance. It is perfect summer scent! It is light, but for me it lasts all day and into the evening. It's a great "work" perfume!

NOT FOR ME BUT YOU MIGHT LIKE IT... (PRETTY BOTTLE
-06.01.11
Quick Take: minty but not long lasting, mint tempered with heavier notes
A friend of mine came back from a London trip with Vivara Variazioni Verde. Over the past few years, I've "used" the other Vivara fragrances from Emilio Pucci so she thought I might want to try this one out. (It's not a gift - she's keeping it for herself). This fragrance has nice minty notes which are predominant, even as the fragrance fades away. I had already experienced the others from this series, including Acqua, which was nice but didn't last long enough, and Sabbia, and also Vivara, which was okay, but not for me. They all faded away too quickly, which is why the pretty Pucci print bottles ended up becoming decorative items.
Like the other Pucci fragrances, Vivara Variazioni Verde doesn't last too long. It's more down to earth, than the light Vivara. It smelled sort of passive to me. It's minty but not invigorating in the jump up and dance sense that most minty fragrances are. It's neither offensive nor particularly exciting, and for a moment, as it faded away, I thought it smelled like something in my Mom's hope chest, or perhaps the chest itself. (For those of you unfamiliar with hope chests, they were small wooden chests popular in the fifties and sixties - young women would collect items - negligees, romantic quilts, etc that they hoped to use when they got married - and save them inside the chest. Many women started collecting before they had even met the man they would marry).
The bottle is without a doubt, very attractive. This Pucci print is primarily in the green family, and this fragrance symbolizes the earth's plants. (The others symbolized other things). The fragrance, though minty, wasn't a lively mint, at least not perhaps a half hour, because it's tempered with the other heavier ingredients. This is not for me, although you might like it, since each fragrance reacts differently to individual body chemistry. I was hoping for more.
