not what i expected, but exactly what i needed- 03.12.10

As with most really good shampoos, you do not need to use a lot in order to cleanse your hair and scalp. This specific shampoo, however, does not lather at all and made me initially think i needed to use so much more when it really is not necessary. I have naturally curly/wavy hair that I do not dye but do straighten and blow dry every other day. My hair gets obscenely dry in the winter and suffers from a lot of breakage resulting in pretty bad split ends and knots. The phyto is incredibly hydrating and restorative. I receive many compliments on how healthy my hair looks, and it is much easier to dry and traighten.. My hair feels stronger and less tired/stressed. I have recommended it to all my friends, the lack of lather does take some getting used though.

Eliminated flakes after one use. Hair is noticeably shiny and smooth. Very satisfied. Had to repeat use despite what the bottle says. In Phyto's defense, I only shampoo once a week and I have very dry hair.

This seemed to initially help my dandruff situation but not long term. I went into the store looking specifically at Phyto products because I had good luck with their dandruff shampoo. The sales person didn't seem to know anything about this line (it is confusing the way each can is worded). I had a hard time finding what I was looking for because the whole line changed the packaging it was in. Came home and found out that I got the wrong one. This shampoo is light and smells good. Don't know if I would use it again since the "intelligent" shampoo didn't work long term for me. I do love the phyto line though.

I have fine hair with an itchy scalp, so I need a shampoo that isn't full of detergents. This product keeps my scalp calm while cleaning my hair. It's hard to find a product that does both!

Wasn't blown away by this at all. Seemed like an average sulfate-free shampoo. I thought the screw on cap was ridiculous for the shower, but I did like the sturdy aluminum bottle. Anyway, I think this is just average really. Maybe the majority of the reviewers haven't tried other sulfate free formula's hence the great reviews.

I have been using this alongside the Universal elixer because I felt as though my hair was looking a bit thin. Its been like 3 weeks and I and others have seen a difference in my hair. It more healther and seems to be growing some. I once strayed from Pyhto and now I'm back to it. Its a great buy bc this smart shampoo helps whatever issues you have with your hair

Seems very moisturizing, lush. It is not the product for me- curly hair w/dry scalp because I need to use sooo much of it b/c my hair is thick, curly. But would recommend - very gently, great for chemically treated/colored hair, too.

I like this shampoo, the cap on the bottle can be hard to deal with while in the shower with wet hands trying to unscrew, pour, and then recap. the smell takes a little getting used to, but the results are great. I use Wen by Chaz dean as a conditioner afterward, and they pair really well together. Its a nice balance since I have damaged dry ends and an oily scalp.

I started using this product at the recommendation of my hairstylist. I was iffy at first b/c I have spent lots of money on expensive shampoos in the past and have not noticed any results that were worth the extra $20. This stuff, however, makes my hair look SO healthy, shiny, and clean. I leave it on for 30 seconds before I wash it off (also at my hairstylist's rec), and only wash my hair every other day. I have fine hair and a lot of products weigh it down, but this stuff never does that. I LOVE Phyto products!!!

I love this shampoo, I have naturally curly hair and I normally straighten it every day, with this shampoo, I can leave it natural or straighen it, and it looks and feels great, it also smells so fresh and clean, I will def. buy again. Another great thing about this shampoo is that I do not need to condition after use, my hair is silky and soft.

I have naturally curly hair, so it is also naturally dry and coarse, I blow dry and straighten my hair 5 days a week. I began using phyto almost 2 weeks ago, I am AMAZED at the difference in my hair, when I leave it natural it is soft and bouny, no frizz at all, and when I straighten it it is so soft, and this shampoo smells fresh and clean too! Very happy with this product I will not buy anything else, I am a phyto fan for life now! ps: my hair seems to be growing fast too, I have been trying to grow out my bangs and 2 weeks ago when I began phyto they were to my lips and now they are under them!

Worked great for husband- 06.22.09
Quick Take: smoothing
This worked great for my husband while on vacation. It removed all the dirt and grime from the ocean from his hair. I used it once and it seemed to fade my blonde so I didn't use it anymore. But, it worked awesome for him and my his coarse hair softer.
