Love it
-05.21.13
This wand gets very hot (i'd recommend using the glove to avoid burns) and does as it states, creates very pretty "beachy" curls and waves depending on the amount of hair used in each curl. I can do in less than 10 minutes what used to take me at least 30. I get compliments on my curls all the time now.

Long hold, but stragley ends
-05.08.13
The curl is a beachy relaxed look that will last all day and night with a light holding spray. It takes a few tries to get used to using it, but curls stay longer when using 1 inch sections rather than larger ones. My only problem is that the very tip of the hair doesn't get curled which causes the look to be a little more unfinished than I would like. Otherwise an amazing product.

Perfect curls
-05.07.13
I have never received as many compliments on my hair as I do now when I curl my hair with the Whirl. I think the second day is actually the best-- perfectly soft, beachy waves.

Finally I can wear curls!
-05.06.13
Quick Take: creates shinny curls, strightening is no longer my only option
I have fairly thick wavy/curly hair. However, my natural curls are frizzy and unpredictable ... not at all pretty! As a result I have stayed away from curls my entire life. Once I discovered straighteners I either straightened or pulled my hair back in a pony-tail.
The last time I had my hair cut the stylist convinced me to let her curl my hair. I was doubtful but the result really surprised me. I was amazed by how sexy and shinny my hair looked so I decided to purchase a curling iron. The last time I had a curling iron was back in the 80's so I knew that I didn't want one with the clip ... I still remember those tight medusa locks with the 1/4 inch of uncurled hair at the bottom.
So, I came here to the Sephora site and read up on straighteners. I decided to purchase the Sulta Bombshell and used it for a week. My two biggest complaints are that the curls fell out of my hair within an hour (and my hair is already curly so not a good sign!), and the on/off switch is located in the most counter-intuitive place they could have chosen. Seriously, I must have turned it off, accidently, 4 or 5 times each time I used it. Great as a safety feature but aggravating when you're trying to get out the door. Also, Sulta doesn't offer a temperature gauge nor a way to adjust the heat and I think it simply didn't get hot enough for my hair (although the burns on my hands tell quite a different story. Yes, the glove is there for a reason and it's helpful to use on the correct hand!).
I returned the Sulta to Sephora and went back to the reviews. That's where I found the T3 Single Pass. Keeping in mind that the reviews for the Sulta were also good, I looked instead for people with hair quality close to mine. My individual hair strands are medium, not terribly thick, but I have a lot of hair. My hair tends to be dry and the top layer, especially in the back, is extremely frizzy ... like it belongs on a whole different head! My hair makes an excellent barometer, unfortunately, so I need high heat to tame it down. I once had a straightener with temperature settings, the highest labeled Ethnic (seemed a bit strange but ...) and my hair is apparently ethnic although I am not.
Like any other clip-free straightener, the T3 takes some getting use to. For me, it works best if I work with small sections of hair and make sure that they lay flat around the barrel. If the hair is all bunched up it doesn't take the curl properly. This might make the process seem a little more time consuming but if you only have to do each section once, ultimately it saves time. It's tough getting accustomed to doing the back of my head (especially without burning the life out of myself!) but not impossible, And the results are lovely. I don't/won't use hairspray so I end up with pretty, shinny waves and lots of body! Miraculously, the frizz is gone. I'm still working on what type of styling products to use with the T3 so any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
The bottom line is, I'm very happy with this product and very glad that I returned the Sulta! The Sulta may work wonderfully for some hair types, just not mine!

Beautiful beachy curls that last for days
-05.05.13
I absolutely love this curling iron. It heats up in a minute or two and works amazingly. I have beautiful beachy wave like curls that last for days! I woke up in the morning with softer curls than the night before when it was more like an old hollywood glam curl. If you use the tool correctly, I find it to be really fast and easy to do! My full head is curled in under 12 minutes. I highly recommend this curling iron. It's so worth the price for beautiful long lasting curls!

I bought this based on reviews before leaving for a trip and ended up loving it so much i stopped using all other irons I previously owned. The glove is quite awkward to use because I found that the tips were too long to get a good grasp on the iron. However, I replaced the gloves with the ones from Sally's Beauty Supply and have better gripping and quicker curling time. It takes me only 10 minutes to curl my entire head and they seem to last all day without product even. I would recommend this iron for longer hair which makes it a breeze to curl.

Bohemian waves
-04.27.13
Quick Take: easy to use, heats quickly, bohemian waves
This tool helped me achieve the bohemian waves look I wanted for my wedding. A someone who doesn't usually spend much time on my hair, I was a little nervous to do my wedding hair myself. But I just took my time with it and it came out exactly how I had pictured it. I practiced a few times before, and the keys to success were going slow (so not to burn myself), to carefully section my hair to make it manageable one piece at a time, and to use the right products (I used the Unite styling line and set with Bumble hairspray).

Not in love with it
-04.18.13
Quick Take: awkward, effective, hard to use, innovative
This curling iron takes a lot of getting used to. And make sure to use the glove or you will burn yourself right away, like I did. It does give a naturally wavy look, I admit it. But ease of use, nope. And it takes forever to wind small sections of hair all over your head, very difficult to do the back. For straight hair this would be a big NO. But my hair is wavy alreday, just not in a good way, so this justs adds some shape and style giving fullness and longer waves. Wish it were easier to use, though, or I'd use ot more often.

Amazing!
-02.26.13
First I have to start by saying I have long, thick hair. I've tried curling my hair numerous times with high quality curling irons and my hair ends up looking great...for about 30 minutes until it falls flat. Even when it's doused with the best hairspray money can buy. I tried this when I was visiting a friend and I was immediately hooked. It creates the most beautiful waves and curls AND it holds my hair all day (and night) WITHOUT hairspray. I highly recommend this one, it's worth every penny!

Really good wand
-02.13.13
I tried this at a friends house, n I fell in love w how my hair looked I went to work and I was getting so many compliments.... So I tell my bf n he wanted to buy it for me n I told him “no baby that's to much $ if u want just get me any at a different retail store". So he did, but it did not work as good as this one, so I returned it n got another really known brand it created a really beautyful wave but it only lasted an hr even w spray. So I went n returned it cause I was determine to get this one. I should of let my bf buy it for me when I had the chance.

From flat to fabulous
-02.03.13
I have a lot of very straight, fine hair. It doesn't curl easy or hold curl. I tried this in Sephora and it was amazing. My hair had curls like I never imagined, they held all night long and my hair looked better than it has looked in a very long time. I bought it on the spot and have zero regrets. Get rid of the hot curlers -- this is the product to use!

A must for every girl

I will never use a regular curling iron ever again and have gotten all my friends addicted. So easy to use. You can create curls or waves.
It's fast and my hair stays curled or waved for days after.

Great while it lasted
-01.06.13
Quick Take: no longer working!
I got this curling iron for Christmas 2011 and it recently stopped working, for no reason! I used it almost everyday, it was a great product while it lasted but one day I plugged it in and it no longer heats up anymore.
I personally think such an expensive iron should last longer than one year! Disappointed.

This thing is awesome. Heats up quickly and gives natural looking waves (not very tight spiral curls if that's what you're looking for).

Where have you been all my life?
-12.13.12
I concur, "I LOVE LOVE LOVE this T3 Styling Wand. Curling irons may curl my hair but it also at times make me lose volume since my hair is on the thin side. Then thru the course of the day the curls fall out. Most importantly, lets not forget the heat damaged caused by curling irons. But the T3 wand creates great curls and volume that last beyond a day and after washing my hair and wearing it naturally curly, there were no heat damage.

Great if you have a lot of time
-12.11.12
Quick Take: good but hot so it's tricky to usetime consuming
I have a lot of long, thick hair. I get it chemically straightened every three of four months and love the effect of no slight natual waves and no frizz. However, sometimes I want to mix things up (I wear my hair straight 95 % of the time) and I use a curling iron or hot rollers and now this SinglePass Whirl. I loved the idea of getting beachy waves (think Jen Aniston or Taylor Swift) and SinglePass meant that I wouldn't have to redo. Well, this tool heats up SUPER HOT, so even with all my hair, one time with this wand does the trick...but only with each section of hair. It takes me a LONG time to style my hair with this tool. It looks great, but I have four kids, so it's not often that I get to do my hair with this. I like having it, though. If you have a lot of time to work on your hair, then great. Definitely wear the glove provided or you will get burned.
