I'm african american with fine, relaxed 4a 4b coils (in there natural state), I adore this shampoo. It does not strip my hair of all oils. It cleans well but is low sudsing which I like. The more suds you have then the more stripping the formula is. My hair breakage has greatly reduced. It's only been about 3-4 weeks of use and I've noticed a difference. My hair is super shiny and can really with stand flatiron abuse when i choose to do so. Try it; you won't regret it. And since you only need a little bit it lasts for a long time. (This splurge saved me more money) I like to lather with something else first to remove the dirt and then lather with phytorhum and leave it on like they suggest. Then you use less product but still get the benefits.

This shampoo is amazing. It makes my hair thicker, stronger, healthier, softer. One thing I noticed that people are saying in other reviews is that it doesn’t foam. You’re supposed to shampoo your hair twice with Phyto shampoos. The first shampoo is to get rid of all the buildup, whether it’s from hard water or products, nothing is going to get into your hair unless that wall of buildup is taken down. That’s why the product doesn’t foam, it’s taking all that buildup and rinsing it out. The second shampoo is what gets into the hair follicle and gives that oomph to your hair. The ingredients are able to soak into the hair and do their job instead of sitting on the top not doing anything. Once you get that knowledge (which is not explained on the package or on this website), it’s the best shampoo for thin hair EVER!

I took the advice from a magazine to buy this shampoo if you have fine or thinning hair. After giving birth to my son, my hair took a nasty downturn and started falling out and was just lifeless! I used this for a few months and now, I feel like a commercial because the difference is amazing. It didn't actually make the hair grow back but it did improve the overall health of it, which in turn helped all aspects of my problems. Now I am addicted and how and pray that it NEVER goes out of stock!
I have used Phytorhum for at least 6 years. I love the smell because it reminds me of egg nog, and that is reason enough to love it. But it is the only shampoo that nourishes my hair without weighing it down or leaving it too fine and flat. I am sure the egg in this shampoo is the reason for the wonderul result.
Perhaps some of my dissapointment in this product is attributed to my hair routine. I shower at night before bed and don't own a blow dryer, so consequently I go to bed with a wet head - a process that may be hindering this product from living up to the hype that precedes it. With this routine, however, I've noticed no difference in the appearance or volume of my hair whether it is washed with this shampoo or my usual.

Quick Take: not worth the price
This didn't work for me. I've used it for 2 weeks and my hair is still dry. It smells Butterscotchy and it was not foamy at all. I will use it till it's gone, only because it's too pricy to toss.
This shampoo amazed me--it works! My hair is very fine, but this shampoo did it's job and made my hair bouncy and thick. I do need a bit of conditioner every other shampoo, though, to tame the flyaways.
Pair it with Phytosesame Express Hydrating Conditioner for truly amazing results. This shampoo is one of my must haves, it smells wonderful and, you don't need a lot of product to get a good lather, just work it in with enough water. This is for me, a staple really. Try it, you will not be disappointed.

I've only been using this shampoo for a couple weeks, but it has saved my hair! I had fine, lifeless, color treated hair until I started using this as my daily shampoo. My hair is softer, shinier, and less dry from coloring. Even my colorist commented on how my hair was in great condition even though we had colored it twice in one week! I'm not sure yet if it makes it grow faster, but the improvement in the condition and look is enough for me. I use this product plus the daily supplements together and love the results so far. Just a great product that doesn't weigh down fine hair, but gives great body.
I have just received my Sephora order an hour ago and I went straight to wash my hair and try the product. It smells like Captain Morgan's rum, so yummy! It's foamy and little goes a long way. I used this shampoo with "Phytojoba" conditioner, and then I used "Phytodefrisant" on towel dried hair. The results are amazing! My hair is so soft and very shiny, love it!!!
I love Phytorhum! it smells like the yummiest chai latte, is incredibly concentrated [it has a thinner consistency, which made me use too much at first] and it makes my fine, dry, naturally curly, color-treated hair full and glossy. I first tried it as a sample, and immediately went to Sephora to buy a full bottle. i alternate it with the Fekkai Apple Cider shampoo to keep my hair bouncy and strong. Phytorhum is also fun to use. I know that sounds silly, but it's true! if you have lightened or permed hair, give it a try.
I tried this 5 years ago from a free sample packet and I was amazed. Ever since this has been the only shampoo that I keep coming back to. I'm not one to spend this much on shampoo typically but I can't resist the way it makes my super fine, color treated hair looks healthy and full. This shampoo does the job that most conditioners don't do for me.
I fell in love with this shampoo years ago (when they were still sold in glass bottles) because of the scent alone: smells like hot buttered rum and looks like silky egg yolks. It also proved to be great for dry hair. My hair is thick and long, and it helps to restore moisture, sheen and make hair softer. In general, I'm also a fan of this brand. Their shampoos are fantastic. So are their sun-protection sprays, which they've had on the market longer than most other brands.
