Quick Take: easy to use, non-sticky
Phytovolume Actif Volumizing Spray actually does hold my fine, limp, thinning hair better than anything I've tried. I still must backcomb to get volume. Then I spray and dry with diffused heat. When the backcombing is combed out I do not see any volumizing benefits, however.

Quick Take: easy to use
I purchased this volumizing spray several months ago.I have, during that time, used it several times. The smell is chemically (is that a word?) but it works. I make sure the window is open when I spray. My hair is fine and has no body. When I use this volumizer it make a huge difference in how my hair looks. It covers my cowlick very well. I know my hair looks full and bouncy when I use this spray. Would warn about spray smell and would recommend this product!

Quick Take: easy to use, lightweight, non-sticky
so bought this after reading the reviews about the great volume and lift that id get using this product. however, i didnt see anything different from other products that are cheaper at your regular local store. some viewers also mentioned about a horrible smell. me personally thought it was nothing bad.just a plain product smell nothing citrus or floral thats for sure.

bad odor, not any better than other brands

Quick Take: lightweight, non-sticky, bad smelling
I was so excited to try this spray. I used the Phyto volumizing shampoo and the Phyto conditioner for all hair types.
I shook the product well and applied to the roots. This stuff stinks. Literally. And the worst part is, it only gets more pungent when you blow try your hair to get the volume. If you are someone bothered by scents very easily or have a sensitive sniffer, I'd try something else first.
The upside is that it is lightweight, non-sticky, and after 8 hours it doesn't make your hair feel greasy at all. It also really works! You must have reasonable expectations, of course.
All in all, I don't think i'd buy this item again due to the strong and unpleasant scent.

This product works quite well for volumizing. I have almost waist-length, very thick hair and so the weight and length make it kind of flat. This product creates good volume without stickiness or residue. However, I find the smell very unpleasant. It has a very chemically smell and that was a big no-no for me. I would probably not purchase again because of smell.

Quick Take: lightweight, easy to use
I've come to the conlusion that there is no miracle product out there that will somehow make thin or flat hair suddenly full. But, there are products that can get you in that direction. This is one of those products. It helps to make hair a bit fuller, a bit more voluminous, a bit more textured. The smell is not bad, it's just not perfumy. But it does go away. The results are good.

This leaves your hair with a "tacky" feeling, but once you blow dry, it's fine. I have very fine hair that weighs down easily. This is a good product. A little pricey, but Glad I tried it.

Very effective! I have very fine, slightly wavy and thin hair and this really does add volume. It seems to work better and last longer than other products I've tried.
There is a definite scent to this product. It's not horrible, but I would NOT call it unscented, and I don't particularly like the smell. It's a little bit chemical-like.

Super light for fine hair like mine. the smell is great. It does a pretty good job of volumizing, but I feel like I am on a constant search for the perfect product that has slight hold but really volumizes. FOr now this will do!

I have very fine, thin hair that is wavy and has never looked good straight. So I've always had trouble finding a product that gives it wavy volume without giving it a funny texture (oily, stringy, stiff, etc). This is the one!
It's amazing how much density it gives to my hair. Not only does it look fuller, but my hair genuinely looks a lot thicker than it actually is - all without weighing it down. I don't know how it would work on styling straight hair, but I can tell you that for my wavy and curly styles, I will be using this as long as it's available. I like to pair it with Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray.

I only purchased this after being pushed by the salesperson. It provides very temporary volume which was gone 30 minutes later, smells weird, and made my hair frizzy.

I really do think this helped my fine hair have more volulme. I have tried thousands of products, and think I have finally found what works for me. I used it along with Blow dry gel, so I want to use it alone before I give 5 stars.

I have fine, thin hair in a short to medium length cut and this product gives very nice volume, but nothing special. What I've found that is special, however, is that there is little or no next day "Gee, my hair looks stringy" like I've experienced with other products. Since I don't want to wash my hair everyday, this is great.
Some may not like how this product smells; it seems to have a slight medicinal scent. Some may think it smells fresh. For me, it teeters between the two.
All in all, I very much like this product. It is pricey, but seems to last a good long while.

I have fine hair, but lots of it. I spray this at the roots before blow drying with a round brush. It gifts me so much lift and volume. It doesn't add weight or stiffness. It especially helps when my roots are growing in and feeling a little flat. I just love this stuff! Use it for fabulous hair!
