NEW FORMULA Phyto Volume- AMAZING!
-05.20.13
Quick Take: hydrating, good for daily use, volumizing, conditioning
For anyone who has used the Phytovolume shampoo in the past, they have changed their formula! If it's in the new bottle, it's the new formula. The old version had sulfates, was like water, and didn't clean very well. This is wonderful! It's thick, cleans hair very well without drying, and it's silicone and sulfate free! A must try for anyone who wants volume but didn't have luck with their old formula!!

Smells great, but works horribly
-05.05.13
This product smells really great, but worked horribly on my hair. I have really fine hair, and this just weighed my hair down and made it greasy. Would not recommend this product to anyone who has fine hair.

hard to use, not worth it
-04.22.13
I agree with other reviewers who said the packaging was difficult. The shampoo is very runny, so it's hard to keep in your palm and screw the cap back on the bottle. It's so expensive that you feel like you can't spill a drop, but it's really hard to put the top on with a palm full on super liqudy shampoo. I also feel like I have to use more than I would with other shapoos to get my hair clean. My hair does feel nice after a blow dry and gets pretty good volume though.

Quick Take: hydrating, smoothing
I received a sample of this shampoo at store and was really surprised by the results when I used it. I've invested so much money in expensive salons to achieve the perfectly layered haircut and salon hair texturizing products, but none of the seemed to be long lasting. By the end of the day, my hair is limp again. Also, I've been losing significantly more hairs over the years and I'm terrified of my hair getting any thinner. Who knew the solution to thinning hair was so basic! What convinced me that this product really works is the fact that it thickened my hair just enough to cover my quasi bald spot on the top of my head. I'm super self-conscious about it and always flipping my hair to try to cover it, but this shampoo texturized my hair so well that it didn't feel or look exposed at all. Also, I tried another Sephora thickening shampoo (I forgot the name) that's more expensive than this product and it just made my hair look really dull and slightly frizzy. As far as the "watery" texture of the shampoo is concerned, it's not a deal breaker for me. this product works when all other products have failed me, so i'm going to give it 5 stars :)

This has been so great!
-03.21.13
Quick Take: hydrating, good for daily use
I have fine, long, curly hair that has been looking rather flat and lifeless the last couple of months. I've been using a lot of natural shampoos w/o sodium lauryl sulfate and while it's been great for the ends of my hair, it has unfortunately begun to weigh down my roots and it just looks flat, limp, and greasy up top. I decided to try some over-the-counter volumizing shampoos, but they weren't that great. I saw this in my local Sephora and decided to try it out and it's been nothing short of amazing. I've been using this for the last 2 weeks and it cleans my hair w/ stripping it of moisture plus my hair looks nice and bouncy. It's a little more than I'd like to spend on a shampoo but it's amazing, so I'll just have to better allocate my funds, so that I am able to purchase this.

Twist-off cap on shampoo??
-11.18.12
Quick Take: good for daily use, volumizing, annoying
Really?? Dealing with this packaging in the shower is a delicate juggling act. It's a two-hand job... which becomes exceedingly difficult when one hand is filled with shampoo. Over-filled, usually, because it's difficult to control coming out of the bottle. That said, I like the product, especially in conjunction with the conditioner (which, thankfully and inexplicably, comes in a normal squeeze bottle). But I don't think I'll buy it again.

DIFFERENT FORMULA THAN BEFORE!!
-11.04.12
Well, I'm disappointed b/c the shampoo is now completely different than it was when I purchased it about 6 months ago. It is thicker, with almost no scent. It even feels different on my scalp. It used to be runny, but a little went a long way and I could feel it working on my scalp, had a unique and enjoyable scent, it even foamed up a lot better. I washed my hair with it today and was not very happy. I'm going to use a couple more times, and see if I have a change of heart, but will probably wind up sending it back. I hope someone will forward this note onto to Phyto so they can at least offer the other formula for people who loved it, like me!!! The price is the same as old watery formula, but honestly this different formula should be half the price.!! I feel ripped off.

Fine Hair = Full Hair
-10.17.12
Quick Take: the best for fine hair
I have been using Phyto shampoo, serum and volumizing spray for a year and will never use anything else! It does what it says! Adds the fulness I need without a hairspray that either didn't work or gave me helmit head! Try it, you'll LOVE it!!!

works out
-07.19.12
This shampoo works pretty decent for me, I find that I notice the difference most on those days which I haven't styled my hair, and it still looks like I did a little something to it. I poured the shampoo into a spray bottle to use in the shower and it's made it much easier to control how much I'm using and I haven't wasted a bit from spills. I don't use this product every day, but I will definitely repurchase when I do run out.

Made my hair even limper!!
-06.24.12
Quick Take: very disappointing
I'm not sure why this shampoo doesn't work on my hair but it leaves me with lots of static electricity, something that has never happened to my hair from a shampoo before. And my hair has less body than with any other shampoo I've used. I'm going back to my Bumble & Bumble thickening shampoo.

It works like nothing else
-06.23.12
Believe me, I have tried everything including Sephora's hyped Living Proof. This is an old standby, and it's been around for so long because it blows up your hair, kind of. It is rought on it, I suggest it be applied, and LESS than you would normally apply a shampoo, to the roots and work it down. If you have long hair you need a serious conditioner for the ends, and my chin length bob needs a cream rinse just to be able to comb it out. That is part of the volumizing that is inherent in this kind of shampoo and you wil not be unhappy!

Works Great
-06.01.12
Quick Take: brilliant!
Just like other reviewers, you need to adjust your shampooing methods to use this brand effectively. It really does work great for fine hair, providing volume without weight. Love it.

Different kind of shampoo...
-05.29.12
I would really rate this shampoo 3 and 1/2 stars because it does do a decent job of plumping up the hair, but I don't really like the smell of it or the feel of it (really watery). The container it comes in is tin or aluminum so you can't squeeze it to feel how much is coming out and the consistency is so watery that it pours out of my hands so fast that it feels like I'm wasting a lot of it. I have fine, straight hair and if I blow dry it it really does give it a lot of volume, but I feel like there are probably better overall shampoos out there.

It Works!
-02.08.12
Quick Take: good for daily use
I don't have fine hair but I do want volume and my hair is thinning as I am getting older. I tried this, recommended by a salesperson at Sebora. It does the job AND it doesn't leave my hair feeling waxy like many other thickeners do. The product itself is almost watery-but what a surprise in the results.

Liquid shampoo, wasteful, yet does what it does!
-01.27.12
Quick Take: liquid
This bottle arrived extremely cold, like those keyboard dusters you shake and then it blows the air on your keyboard! I found it odd that the product has no informational instructions or details and just a brand label sticker. I mean we all know how to was our hair but a warning that it is liquid and flows out fast would be helpful. I was excited to try this new product and when in the shower I opened it and went to squeeze it into my hand and probably wasted a little under 1/4 of the bottle onto the tub floor. It streamed out a red liquid. I shook it and thought maybe it got separated and is thicker...but no, it did it again...I found it really odd that nothing explained this. I washed my hair with the liquid I could gather in my hands and then I tried putting it in my hands to see if rubbing them together would turn in soapy or foamy and it did very little...as I washed my hair with it it didn't feel like it was cleaning my hair and I was worried I actually bought something that is a supplement to shampoo! I fell asleep with a wet head after showering and woke up and my hair actually looked really clean, shiny and full...so, I was glad but completely thrown off the the product in general
