Quick Take: good value
The darker neutral colors don't have enough pigment but still manage to create fallout. The instructions are good for a beginner but hard to execute without some decent brushes and primer. Nice colors though.

Quick Take: good value
I had to buy this in a pinch b/c I stupidly forgot to pack my eyeshadow for a wedding weekend in NYC. Went to the Soho store and after wandering around that HUGE store, came upon this. Instructions are definitely helpful. Wish the purple color for the smoky eye was more of a plum instead of PURPLE, but again, beggars can't be choosers when you forget your stuff! FYI, I would say that these colors probably work better on someone who has lighter skin. On my olive medium skin, the gold and beige didn't show as well as it did in the tutorial pics. Also, I love that all the colors are in the compact, but it is pretty big. You wouldn't throw this in your purse--it is something you pack. It comes with a dark brown eyeliner pencil, which does go on smoothly. The eyeshadows have staying power--never had to reapply for the day or evening look.

Quick Take: portable, good value
I am a noob when it comes to eyeshadow blending and application, so I am hesitant to purchase an expensive eyeshadow palette like Urban Decay's Naked and just have it sit and collect dust because I don't know where to put the colors in. I was excited about this product because it shows you clearly where to apply the colors. The shadows are pretty pigmented and stays on for a few hours.

Quick Take: portable, good value, beautiful, easy to use
I used to have absolutely no clue about the application of eyeshadow; I had always been intimidated about how to "correctly" apply it. But this kit definitely gave me a great start into regularly applying eyeshadow to best enhance my eyes. The step-by-step instructions are very easy to follow and helpful, regardless of how comfortable you feel in using makeup. Now, I'm not afraid to use makeup, try out new techniques, and experiment!

I literally just got home from Sephora...opened my palette...and tried it out! Cannot believe the quality of the palette...for $20!!! I'm amazed and beyond happy I purchased it! I purchased both this one and the one for neutral eyes and I can't wait to go back and buy the one specifically for smokey eyes!

Quick Take: good value, awesome
The kit looks convenient and very pretty but the base colors gave me that 'fresh from the mortician' dry look. I would recommend using darker browns for the first and two last steps.

I purchased this on a recommendation from the girl from Sephora. I am not very talented with the eye portion of make-up. She showed me how to use this, and it is effortless. The colors blend so well and very easy to apply! Anyone who wants a smokey eye, but also the option of a day time look, this is perfect!!! I love this and use it every day!.

So far I have only tried the shades for the brown natural eye. I actually like how it makes your brown eyes pop without making it too big. It enhances it very well especially for my neutral skin tone. And for the price, it's so worth it! I'll use the shades for the smoky eye soon and I can't wait!

Dark but nice for a change

Quick Take: bold, fun to experiment with
I usually wear Lancome liquid eyeliner and minimal sheer or no eyeshadow. I've been experimenting with using layered eyeshadows to create similar effects and it is growing on me. I LOVE the bright purple but it is extreme for day - even the 'day' tones turn out a little darker than I'd like but again, I'm getting used to a different look. I like the instructions - helps a lot. I am not sure how all the browns are supposed to compliment brown eyes but I'll go with it. Doesn't seem to cake but I use a eyelid primer.
