This is one of those "ideas" wherein the product is just as good as - or better than the idea. It really is a "teaching tool" and the quality of the product is execellent. I have bought this for myself and as gifts and it is so appreciated by my friends.

Great for a Beginner

I am no makeup expert and have wanted to learn how to create a smokey eye effect without looking like I belong in a evil scary movie. The girls at Sephora recommended this palette and showed me how to apply it. It is also great that the palette comes with instructions as well, which is perfect because I suffer from memory loss ever so often( LOL). This works!! It lasts all day and I can't wait to apply it for an upcoming wedding. This is great for beginners and will take off the dread of applying if your like me. Try it!

OMG let me start off by i got this as a gift and i LOVE IT! i used it all but all the colors were amazing i love how bold the white was everyone needs to get this palette!!!! its a very great deal 6 eyeshadows for 20 dollars !!!!

Quick Take: portable, good value, long-lasting
This palette is a wonderful product for someone like me. My day-to-day makeup regimen consists of the following: 1.) Do I have time to put any on? 2.) Where is my foundation? 3.) Hooray mascara! 4.) Out the door.
I have never been big on wearing a lot of makeup, and have been on a mini-mission to try to primp up more often when going out with my fiance or friends. It is a sad truth that has left my application skills lacking for some time. That's where this palette comes in. Not only are the shadows stunning and long-lasting, but there are application instructions *inside the palette*! I'm sure most women will agree with me when I say it is obvious when someone tries to apply the smoky eye makeup and they look like they rolled out of bed from a long night of club-hopping without washing off their makeup from the night before. The smoky eye can be sexy and enticing, but it can also look dirty and disheveled if not done properly. This kit fixes that problem.
The shadows themselves are some of the best I have ever used. When applied with my brushes, they don't spray dust all over my face. There is just enough shimmer on the lighter accent shades, and the darks don't lose their oomph when you blend them. You can even use the darker shadows as liner if you prefer to ster clear of pencils. Just be sure to use a thin, firm brush if you choose that route.
If this palette can make a novice makeup artist like me look like a beautiful expert, imagine what it can do for you!

This is a great product. The steps are easy to follow, even a beginner could achieve a smokey eye. The eye shadows are very pigmented and very long lasting. This product is amazing!

Quick Take: portable, every day use
I wear this everyday, day or night! While it has good instructions for smokey eyes, you can easily use the lighter shades alone, or mix and match from each side to create stunning every day shimmery looks for winter!
I am in love with the eye liner that comes with it! its smooth and comes off easy if you mess up your liner (which I do when trying to wing out my liner). It also doesn't sharpen unevenly like some eye liners iI've tried in the past.
My only complaint is the shadows seem to fall out when picking up with a brush. They were more loose than I'd have like after only a few uses. But for the price it's hard to complain!

I bought this based off all the positive reviews online. I also bought the brushes shown on the screen with it. The instructions are terrible - the pictures don't help either. It doesn't say what brush to use to apply which color. My eye doesn't look 'smoky'. It looks just as ugly as when I bought eye shadows at the store. Very dissapointed!!

I was always wanting to buy this palette because I fell in love with how the colors where so neutral, then again was added a kick of simple shimmer! The colors are pigmented and they blend beautifully! They really do make my eye shape pop even more and gives it a little sultry sexy look! Must buy!
