Quick Take: good value, travel-friendly
Let me start off by saying that I have mild adult acne, live in a humid area and have a reasonably high stress job- bad combo for clear skin! Though I wear makeup to try and cover my blemishes, my co-workers always notice and question my poor skin. I have tried SO many things to try and rectify my problem but nothing has helped... until now!
I have only been using this product for 5 days now, but have already noticed a big difference in my skin texture. All of the raised blemishes I had are much more flush with the surface of my skin (which is great b/c I tend to pick.. gross, I know).
I've read some reviews that said that this is too harsh and drying, but I don't find that to be the case (I have fairly sensative pale skin). For me the amount of flaking is very minimal! The only thing I don't care for is the smell- very heavy and chemically. For me, though, as long as it does the trick I don't care how it smells! Also it doesn't linger or make my face smell funny. My skin looks a lot brighter. The spot treatment is potent and really kind of burns initially, but for me that just means it's working!
I thought this little starter kit was a great value (LOVE the travel pouch). If it keeps working this well I'll be purchasing full size products when I run out!

Quick Take: good value, travel-friendly
For those with combination skin, I would tell you to jump all over it. When starting it, I would suggest weaning onto it so your skin can adjust to it, as it is strong! Results for me were shown in about 4 weeks but now I have very few breakouts and only the occasional zit.

Quick Take: easy to use, cute, it works, can be drying
This is a great value set you can't pass up if you use Clinique's products regularly~ ^^
I love the acne lotions and moisturizers and emergency spot treatment and the face wash which is everything this kit offers~ ^^
Though if you have dry skin this might be too much for you... Try using this once or twice a week if that's the case. :) --> It's a little drying to me at times, so I use this when I have breakouts and it works awesomely for me~
Plus it comes in a cute case~ ^^

I used Proactiv for FIVE YEARS and had super clear, tight skin. I always, always got people complimenting my super clear skin. It was the best feeling in the world! Proactiv keeps advancing their system and now they use microcrystals with benzoyl peroxide to clean out your pores better. When people hear "Proactiv" their immediate reaction is, "dries my skin!" Well, I think you generally get dry skin from cleansing and that's immediately solved by moisturizing--seriously, just moisturize and you ought to anyways.
I wanted to try a different system. I've always thought Clinique was a good brand--I don't think I've heard anything negative about their products. Again, when I asked about what people thought about Clinique's acne system, people immediately reacted by saying, "it dries my face!" I think medicated systems dry your skin and all you need to do is moisturize-not hard to do. I've been using Clinique's system for about over a week now. What I like about Clinique's 3-step system (Proactiv is also a 3-step system) is that the toner is medicated unlike Proactiv. I feel that I get that extra treatment when I'm using the toner. My face looks more clear, I think and perhaps it's because the toner itself also is medicated. Sometimes I wondered if Proactiv's toner was just like glorified water or something. I definitely feel a tingling sensation when applying Clinique's toner. The first night I used the toner I felt a little burning sensation, but I think it was more a tingle.
When I was using Proactiv I still had little imperfections around my nose/cheek area. So far, it feels like Clinique does a more thorough job cleansing (has salicylic acid), toning (also has salicylic acid unline Proactive) and the medicated lotion (has benzoyl peroxide).
Results vary per individual. Proactive has worked for me--I LOVE THE CLEANSER! I actually have gone for weeks just using Proactiv's cleanser ALONE and kept my skin clean and clear--so, maybe sometimes the whole 3 system care is just a way to make money?? I think some people's skin need a little bit more aggressive therapy though so it depends.
I'm using Clinique for now-bought the 30-day trial package and will see if I like the overall results better than Proactiv. One pro for proactiv is that you can customize your orders and delivery and package systems. For Clinique, you buy whatever you need each time, so you don't have control about customizing your acne system and having it delivered according to your usage frequency. Proactiv customer service is STELLAR ALSO!!!
I'll have to decide which system I like better, but I recommend both =)

Quick Take: travel-friendly, oil control
I been using this product for the last month and I am having a mix feeling about it. The first two weeks were great. I noticed that my pores are visually smaller and my face seem to clear up . And then... nothing. I dont know if it my hormones or something but now Im breaking out like crazy

I don't get a lot of acne but what I do get is consistent and difficult to get rid of. These products were effective but ended up being too drying for my skin. I gave the kit to a friend but did keep the acne spot gel for all of the isolated pimples. This kit seems like it would be best for someone in their teens who has developed hormonal acne. For those of us who are older and have more combination skin, this stuff is a bit too strong.

Great product. I recently moved to Wisconsin and my skin is not used to this dry climate. I started to get break-outs ( felt 15 again :( these products Cleared my problematic areas in a week and the treatment did not dry my skin. Decided to buy large bottles. Must add, this offer of the 4 products for the price is very good.

Absolutely loved this kit! It really does work. I have been struggling for 3 years with acne and I am middle aged. I have tried product after product. They have either broken me out worse or caused my skin to dry out significantly. Not, this line! It cleared my face up in just 2 weeks! I just ordered some more toner! Love, love, love it!

This kit is a fantastic value... 4 pieces in a compact case! I have been using Clinique's acne solutions kit for about 2 months in conjunction with microdermabrasion and my skin has cleared up SO MUCH! The topical gel is great because it is clear and can be worn under makeup and doesn't bleach linens the way that the benz. peroxide one does. I got this kit to keep under the sink at my guy's place so that i've got my skincare taken care of even if it's an unplanned overnight stay.

I've been seeing a dermatologist for over 5 years now and this product cleared my skin faster than any product I've ever been priscribed. im sad becasue I just ran out after using a bit over 3 weeks but ill definatly be buying more. it didn't completely clear my acne but it improved my skin by 80%, which is pretty amazing. I have very sensitive skin and this didn't bother me at all.

I was having severe skin problems during the first few months of 2011. Patchy dry skin, unusual blemishes, redness. Nothing helped. I started using the Clinique acne kit and moisturizing with a mixture of aloe vera and a mix of oils called Almond Glow. I have had maybe a total of 3 small zits in the last 6 months! Perfectly even skin tone, no patchy skin. I have not even been getting my customary pms zit! So awesome!

I have absolutley nothing bad to say about these products! It has cleared my skin up and it just feels nice to not have skin like a teenager anymore lol. At first it was a little drying but once my skin adjusted about 1 week after, the texture of my skin completely changed. It was smooth again!!! and no blemishes!! yay!!

I adore this kit. First, it comes in a very cute case as shown. I love stuff that matches! There is plenty of product in each bottle. I was afraid I'd get sample sizes, but these are great. The system works well. It did dry me out some, but I started using it every other day and it helped. Makes my skin feel smooth and tight. Still had some pimples here and there, so I guess it wasn't doing it's job, but overall it did make my skin look better.

I thought it was great and healed me acne on my forehead but then I soon got acne all on my chin. It also dried my skin out like crazy. I've been looking for something to heal my acne forever. I guess I am going to have to continue the search.

Absolutly LOVE this product. I did the 3 step oil system and my acne flaired. Started this a month ago, and I dont have a single blemish. Doesnt smell the best, but if it works, I dont care! Doesnt dry my skin out. Love the clairifying lotion. Good buy!
