Just too heavy

Quick Take: too heavy, smells nice
I have short, thick, straight hair and after reading some of the other reviews, thought this product might give it some shine without weighing it down. Wrong. I used ONE spray and basically stood over it and let it settle on my hair. It turned my hair flat and greasy-looking no matter what I did.

This spray is way too greasy to use on my fine hair during the day. I've been using it as a leave in before bedtime, and when I wash my hair in the morning, it's incredibly soft and shiny. Don't think that is how it's intended to be used, but hey, it works for me!

This really does put a nice high shine on my hair, and it's weightless so I don't feel like I'm getting too much product build-up. The moisturizing it provides is also nice. Probably the best shine product that I've ever used.

Quick Take: fresh scent, great moisture
I really like this product because it adds great moisture and shine to my hair. My hair gets very dry and I was using Argan oil before which didn't last the whole day. This product only needs to be applied once in the morning after styling. I would not use it every day however, because the product can build up over a week. Other than that the product is great and has a light fresh smell....not like that heavy herbal smell some of the other Carol's Daughter products have. They scored high with this product.

Quick Take: awesome
I can honestly say that I am not a fan of the Carol's Daughter line. BUT, after walking by a tester of this in the store and applying to my freshly flat ironed hair, I fell in love with this spray. It smells good, it isnt heavy and the shine comes from macadamia oil. Just be careful when you spray it on freshly pressed hair. The squirt bottle can lead to uneven distribution of the product. I just spray some on my hands , rub them together and I get the shine I need where I need it!

This shine mist has no silicones which is great and water isn't the main ingredient which means it won't disrupt your hair style. A little goes a long way, the first time I used I sprayed away and it left my hair looking greasy but the next time I put some on my hands and distributed lightly and it gave my hair the shine I needed without the greasy look.

I have very long, very thick, curly and unfortunately dry hair. On a whim, I went into Sephora to test out a shine spray because my hair was looking a bit dull. I stumbled on the Carol's Daughter line by accident and I am so grateful!
I used 4-6 sprays, and at first my hair looked a bit greasy. Cursing my own folly, I twisted my hair up into a bun and left it alone for a few hours. I took it down later, and imagine my surprise when my hair was shiny, soft, moisturized and looked like I had JUST gotten it cut. My last hair cut was 6 months ago!
I cannot recommend it enough if you have thick, naturally curly/wavy, and dryer hair. Those with thinner hair (even if its dry) may want to try another product, or only use 1-2 sprays. It is an oil, so at some point too much will be too much. You have to know your own hair :-)
Either way, I would say give the sample a try at a Sephora store. I saw a HUGE difference after the first application, so you should know one way or the other after the first try!

Just what I was looking for. This makes my hair shiny and healthy looking. But be careful how you spray. In certain areas, I spray it in my hand and rub it there. A little goes a long way too! I love this stuff!

A Little Goes a LONG way

After some getting used to, I really like this product. As others have said, its VERY concentrated so a little bit goes a long way. I spritz one MAYBE two sprays on damp or dry hair, massage it through or even use the blow dryer a bit. Makes my hair look much thicker and smoother than it is.

I have very curly dry hair. I like this product because it nourishes and gives my hair shine. Its very concentrated so I spray lightly. Don't spray your scalp if you have oily hair.

So other reviews have mentioned the greasy look and feel of this product. This isn't something for your whole head of hair. Use only at the ends! That is important. This is the most pleasant smelling shine spray that has no alcohol. Other no alcohol spray always smelled like coconut, and it is disgusting. perfect buy for me.

I absolutely love, love the smell of this and wanted to love the product but it made my hair look really greasy and didn't moistruize it like the Sephora clerk said it would. I have dry, course, damanged, gray/red color treated hair and it just left it far too greasy for me.
