Quick Take: hydrating
I tried the sample of this product, and plan on buying the full size when I run out (which will not be soon since the sample lasts a long time!). Like a lot of people who posted reviews, I was confused at first too but quickly figured out that you only need to apply a thin layer. And yes, it smells a little, but it's really not that bad. I have oily, slightly uneven skin, and this has really helped even it out. I wear much less makeup now! It sounds like it irritates some people's skin, but I would recommend trying it.

Quick Take: drying, irritating
I got a nice sized sample of this and used it for several days while traveling. I do not usually have sensitive skin, but this serum made my skin red and rough, like a sunburn. I had to discontinue use of my normal skin care products until my skin recovered.

Quick Take: hydrating, exfoliating, moisturizing, cure-all
I got this on Saturday and am writing this review on Monday. I was not even sure what this was supposed to do but thought I'd give it a shot since my skin was suffering from uneven tone and acne worse than it had since I was a teenager. I have used it twice a day since Saturday and when I washed my face, put it on, and went to put on my makeup, I was literally in awe over the quality of my skin. It's literally glowing. I have a few acne scars and those have started to noticeably fade, and my skin tone is even! My chronic blackheads on my chin and nose are noticeably smaller and my skin has a glow. I almost ALMOST look like I have a tan (which for this pale faced girl is miraculous). For the first time in years, I considered skipping my face makeup routine for the day because my real skin was so pretty. I can't wait to see what happens as I use this long term!!!

Quick Take: brightening
I have to be honest and say that I don't notice much difference in my skin when I use this product, but that's probably because I don't use it on a daily basis. I received a deluxe sample so I'm trying to spread out applications before I decide on whether or not to spend the exorbitant price for the full product.
So why do I love it if I don't see a difference in my skin? Because what I DO notice is how much better my makeup looks after I use it. I cleanse my face, apply this product, then my moisturizer, and then my primer. After I've put on foundation and the rest of my makeup, my skin looks absolutely amazing. I do this routine every time I go out on a Saturday night and for me it is a noticeable difference from my average weekly routine (which is the same but I leave out the serum). And for the record, I have oily skin and I don't find this product exacerbates that.
This is actually a pretty rare thing for me to find a product that I can really tell a difference in my appearance when I use it. In fact, this is my first review here despite the fact that I spend an obscene amount of money at Sephora each year (mostly on makeup though, not skincare). I've had the half ounce sample now for several months and have used it almost every weekend, so I imagine the full size 1.7oz will last quite a long time as you only need the smallest amount. So I say if you can get a sample, try it. Otherwise, it might be worth trying to full size product, and you can always return it if it doesn't work for you.

This elixir solved my combinations skin problems - I have very dry and sensitive areas that require lots of moisturizing, but when I use heavy lotions I get acne on my oily parts. This product makes my skin feel smooth and fully hydrated but not greasy. loving it!

The first time I tried it, i see the difference of my skin. my looks clearer, hydrated. I've been using it for a week now and i love it. It really works. I'm glowing. I don't why they said it's stink. I don't smell anything odor, there's no scent.

You know what's stinky? it's the perricone cold plasma, now that's smells like human discharge; it's so stinky, gross that i had to hold my breath 'cause if I don't, makes me want to throw up.

I've had to go back and check the product claims 3 times now, but I keep forgetting what's its supposed to do for me. It is so watery, so you are forced to apply a thin layer. The first couple times it stings a tiny bit, similar to beginning a retinal cream, but apparently I've gotten used to it. I don't see any difference in my skin or how my moisturizer works. I rarely give one star reviews, but I just don't get it. I recommend that you save your money.

Also received a deluxe sample... WOW!!! I can seriously see & feel a difference. I've used this every night before moisturizer & it helps my moisturizer absorb into my skin better. I am a 42 yr old Asian, and though I don't have much wrinkles, I do have drier dehydrated dull looking skin living in the harsh winters of the Upper Penninsula of Michigan. My skin glows and radiated healthy skin within 2 - 3 days of use! Love it!!! Already purchased!!! Thank you sephora for the sample! If you haven't tried this, you should!

I received this product as a deluxe sample a few months ago. The first time using it I noticed it stank pretty bad, but still ended up wearing it through the day. It did not burn my skin, but even underneath other skincare products and make-up, I could still detect the stinkiness of this product. Since that day, this product sample has been in the back of my medicine cabinet. Today I'm home from work because of weather, so I decided to give this product one more try.... I just can't do it. This product reeks of onions. This time the smell even burned by eyes so much that after wearing it for 30 minutes or so, I had to wash my face. The rest of this sample just got tossed in the trash.

I really wish I was smart and read the reviews before putting this on my skin but it was a sample and I didn't even look twice. I am used to burning and slight redness due to acne regimens but this is horrible. My face has never been more red. Its like tomato red. I'm praying that it goes away! Wouldn't recommend for sensitive skin.

Alas, I am always looking for good hydration products but the sample of this I received was so watery and stinky (somewhere between socks and an ash tray) I actually thought it was defective. And unfortunately I didn't even think it was hydrating...At least it was free.

When I first tried sample it worked great. Not sure if extreme cold weather and dry environment made skin worse but now product feels like it burns certain areas of my face. I really loved this product at first :(

My face is generally quite sensitive, so when I first used this and felt bumps/acne later that day, I didn't use it on my face again. But because I was excited to have the sample, I tried it on my neck and decolletage, as I often do with products I don't use on my face. By the end of the day, my skin looked and felt sunburned, and even today, two days after the application, it has not improved. I will have to throw this product away.

I received this product in my mystery bag, and I am liking it so far. I am currently using DDF Amplifying Elixir in the am and pm. I should caution that the consistency is almost like water, it comes out of the tube very fast! I dab two to three drops and rub it all over my face. After using this elixir for a little over a month, I have noticed a difference in my skin tone. My skin is smoother, and feels more hydrated. I have not seen a reduction in my fine lines, but I have only had the product for a short time. I really like it so far, and may purchase it. I gave it 4 stars because of the steep price.

This product has really evened out my skin and makes it super smooth. Like the other reviewers I have also experienced some stinging when applying anything with SPF and it really DOES smell like onions, but the smell fades and I absolutely love what it does for my skin. I'll see how long one bottle lasts me before I commit to buying another once it runs out.

When applied, I had no adverse affects, no bad smell, no redness, no irritation. In fact, it smoothed on easily and then did not look oily. I covered it with my regular moisurizer and then my makeup. Made my skin look amazing and hydrated!
After using this product for a few weeks and then running out, my skin almost instantly got much, much drier and became rough/flaky (which is what it is usually like in the dry winter).
Honestly, Sephora is usually too expensive for me, but this is the one product that I am considering purchasing. I miss my sample!

Like most, I received this in my mystery bag. I haven't dabbled in products like this before, so I just set it aside for the first month I had it. I recently decided to give it a go since it's a fairly big sample. My skin has been extremely dry this winter and this stuff works wonders. I have very sensitive skin, and unlike some others, I didn't experience redness or burning. I don't know what "onion" smell people are smelling, but it didn't smell like onions, or anything bad smelling for that matter. I love it! Although the price is high, I think I'll have to splurge once I finish the sample.
