Neither "Smoothing" nor "Brightening" Concealer
-05.22.13
Quick Take: lightweight, cakey, not user friendly
I was looking for a quick, easy concealer and a sales associate recommended this product. Firstly, this product isn't 'user friendly' by that I mean that the first time you use it you must twist the container several times to get product out and afterward, too much product comes out. Additionally the formula cannot be described as smooth. If anything it comes out in thick clump in the bristles. It eventually dries in a cakey form, causing major creasing into fine lines. The beautiful salmon color transforms into a streaky mess. I have never set it with under eye setting powder because the formula is on the lighter side. In terms of the color, it most resembles Bobbi Brown Porcelain Bisque. I loved the Bobbi Brown corrector concealer but I found that it was too heavy of a product on my young skin. Because I have ivory skin tone this product wasn't 'brightening' but it may be on other skin colors. I think this product would be most beneficial for someone who doesn't have fine lines and is shopping more on a budget.

I Love You

Quick Take: lightweight
This is my new favorite product. It lightens up my dark circles perfectly and is super lightweight. I bought it specifically for under the eyes, but being that time of the month I broke out a little and used it over a couple blemishes and worked wonderfully. I bought the one that has a pinkish tint because I am pretty fair, and this one seems to blend in just right!

Not so great
-05.17.13
Quick Take: clumpy
Everything about this product is not so hot. First, it very hard to turn the handle to release more concealer and then the lid doesn't stay on very well. Also, I find that it doesn't blend very well either, I was left with clumpy, bumpy, streaky looking makeup, and I normally go for invisible concealer

I found this product to be very light in coverage but it does stay on. I have heavy darkness about the eyes and it is of no use for me.

My favorite!

Quick Take: lightweight
I have been using this for a year. I actually tried other brands in between but I always come to this Sephora concealer. I am Asian and have very oily skin. This one works well with my kind of skin.

Great concealer
-05.02.13
I really love this product! It matches my skin tone perfectly and stays put all day. The packaging isn't great though, it's hard to get a precise amount with the twist top.

Finally!!!
-04.24.13
I have FINALLY found a concealer that does what it says. I love it for under my eyes, it camouflages my dark circles and brightens them beautifully, without giving me obviously white under eyes. I use it to hide flaws as well and it blends with my foundation very naturally. The price is very reasonable for how well this product works.

Great Product
-04.21.13
Quick Take: hard to twist, complicated, good, typical concealer
This a good concealer, but it takes me FOREVER to get some out! It is very hard to twist and open, but it does its job once you get some out.

Not too bad
-04.21.13
I wasn't expecting much out of this concealer. It was the only inexpensive concealer I could find in a Sephora, so I thought I would try it out. The concealer did do a good job concealing my dark under eye circle. I could wear this all day, not having it smudge or moved (of course I applied a loose powered on top of it). The only downside to this concealer pen is that the brush is too stiff for my eyes. If they made the brush appl. softer, then I would've gave this a 5 star. I have to apply this concealer onto my fingers to put it on. But I think it's a good, reasonable price concealer.

better than the expensive ones (for me)
-04.20.13
Quick Take: full coverage, non-drying
I have tried many concealers in my day. I use smashbox for redness but had yet to find something for dark undereyes. I used tarte for a while but found it ran out too fast for what I paid, and was usually faded in 8 hours. I tried makeup forever but found it too lightweight, and when I layered it just creased. Then the sephora person recommended this because the color (radiant peach, #5) matched my skintone better than the lancome one I was eyeing. She put both on me in the afternoon, and by the end of the day I found the lancome one wore off and this one was still going strong without creases. I went back the next day to purchase it. Love the applicator brush, haven't had it crease yet.

Definitely brightens!
-04.13.13
Quick Take: brightening, easy application
This product definitely brightens my eyes and hides the dark circles. However, it tends to dry quickly making it hard to blend. I wish it was just a tad more moist.
Other than that, the applicator allows for smooth precision. For first time use you'll need to twist for a while before it works, but it will happen!!

Love it
-04.13.13
Quick Take: lightweight
This was my first ever conceler and I still love it. I use it on the under eye area to cover up my bags. My only complaint it that it looks powdery sometimes, I'm not sure if it's because I have dry skin or not because my mom has borrowed it and didn't get the powdery effect. I usually get rid of the powdery-ness by dabbing a little bit of moisturizer on it and then it's all smooth sailing from there.

Also great as lightweight foundation!
-04.06.13
Quick Take: full coverage, non-drying, lightweight, hg foundation!
I've been using the Sephora Smoothing & Brightening Concealer in Radiant Vanilla for over a year as a fabulous under-eye color corrector. It goes on smoothly, never cakes, and with a light dusting of Make Up For Ever HD Microfinish Powder, rarely creases. My face tends to be a bit reddish in some areas, so I also use the concealer to color-correct as needed.
Until a few weeks ago, I had been using Clarins Super Restorative Foundation in the "2.5 Biscuit" color, a creamy foundation that has enough yellow pigment to balance out the redness in my skin, but I was unhappy with how my face always looked like I was wearing makeup, no matter how evenly or lightly I tried to apply it.
I had the random idea to try the Sephora concealer as an all-over foundation, and I was absolutely thrilled with the results! My skin looked natural and smooth, and even in color. After three weeks of using the concealer as a foundation, I'm still as delighted. This concealer is the foundation I've been looking for! I use my ring finger to apply the concealer in a patting, swirling motion, moving quickly and lightly across my face. Used as a foundation, I find the concealer has medium-to-full coverage, so a little bit of it goes a long way, and you can build up coverage as needed. I think using a good moisturizer before applying makeup is generally a good idea, and in the case of using this concealer as a lightweight foundation, I think moisturizing beforehand helps provide a smooth surface for even application.
