Quick Take: long wearing, fast-drying, chip resistent
It makes your nails look naturally pink, as if you have been having shots of omega on your nails!! When I'm lazy to apply 2 coats if varnish, I simply put this on and I'm good to go!! Simply AWSOME

A lot of people have left positive reviews about this polish, sadly I can't do that for a couple of reasons.
1.) This product contains formaldehyde. They do a good job trying to hide it by putting another fitted sticker over the ingredient sticker on the base of the bottle, but if you peel it off you'll see it listed. Some people might not care, but I try to avoid polishes with the toxic-3 as much as possible. I should have done my research first, granted, but I didn't see anyone else in the reviews mention it which makes me wonder just how many people know about it.
2.) The pink tint is nice at first, but it alters my polish color. When I'm not wearing gels I switch my regular nail polish out very often. What I've noticed is that after my polish sets and dries, it darkens. This usually only happens with lighter shades but it's a huge bummer. All of my pastels and off-whites turn greyish, or a deeper, less attractive color. No clue why, but my friend said she had the same issue.
Nails inc., please stop using formaldehyde so I can use your other lovely polishes without worry! This base coat was a huge letdown.

Saved my Nails!

My nails are thin, chip and break easily, tear and bend - they're awful. I've tried base coats, top coats, strengtheners...you name it. I've been using this product for about a week an a half and it has saved my nails! They are almost all the same length, break and chip much, much less. Will be keeping this in my nail kit from now on!;)

Nails Inc. claims that Kensington caviar, an ingredient in their base coat, nourishes the nail. While the nail plate, the part that is painted, is constructed of several layers of compacted dead cells and cannot be "nourished", this base coat does provide protection against chipping by sealing the free margin of the nail plate, which is particularly susceptible to fractures. The formula goes on smoothly and has a slight pink undertone.

Quick Take: a lovelyaddition to a maicure.
Many womwn informed me that if I used a top coat it wasnt necessary to use a base. Wrong They hardly chip at all after a werrk and the manicure looks fresh.

Quick Take: excellent treatment
Kensington Base coat went on my nails smoothly, and
seemed to also work as a treatment on my dry,briitle nails.

Quick Take: pink, cheesy
After reading so many great reviews, I decided to try Kensington. To my dismay it chipped away the same day. I tried it on one more time the other time and the same day it was already peeling off. Also I was surprised by the strong darkish pink color. I looked cheesy and weird. My husband couple times asked me what happened to my nails. I would never wear something like that in the work environment. Maybe teenagers would like it, even though I am not sure.

Its a great base coat. Preps your nail very well and allows for smooth application of polish. Makes nailpolish last longer. I am a nurse and I wash my hands a hundred times a day and I use the alcohol based disinfectants a thousand times a day...Ive tried the new gel technique that claims a 2 week result and the polish comes right off NOT with this base coat and the Caviar top coat. LOVE IT! I also use it alone and it looks great. Gives my nails a healthy shine and light pink tone :)

I had two gel manicures, and I was looking for something to nourish my nails. The associate at Sephora recommended this. This protects them, but weeks later, they are still weak and breaking.

I love the color of this base coat, sometimes i wear it alone when I am going for a more natural look. It dries really quickly and helps my nail polish stay on 2-3 days longer than normal. I will definitely buy this again.

This is the first time I've ever used a base coat on my nails and I will never go back to regular nail polish again. It really is awesome the way it makes my manicure look fresh after days. I would recommend this base coat to anyone! Plus my nails are so much healthier now.

This is the best base coat Ive ever bought. it drys super quick , makes even the hard to remove glitter polish an easy take off, and has a really nice natural pink hue. I will purchase this again.

Quick Take: fast-drying
I tried this for the first time yesterday. I am amazed by this base coat. I wasn't even planning on buying one but when I saw a nails inc. polish I liked, this was close by and I snatched it up. I am so glad I did! It goes on really nice and makes your nails look really healthy - gives your nails a pretty natural "blush" but is clear...could absolutely wear alone. It will be my new go-to base coat!
