The Power of Poetry

I love this scent - Top notes are rose, passionfruit and wild berries; middle notes are jasmine, tuberose, orchid and cherry; base notes are musk, amber, praline and woodsy note. It is bright, subtle, warm and infuses happiness. It iis one of my favorites.

This is my favorite of all Kat's fragrances and I am sad it is being discontinued! The fragrance lasts most of the day and I've gotten several compliments from co-workers. I will definitely have to buy more before it's gone!!

Quick Take: good value
Spray and wait 30 seconds. This perfume smells so good, and it lasts most of the day. I was at work in the copy room, and someone came in and said "It smells good in here." I knew it was me that brought the smell in there. It's not too strong, but you don't need to use too much.

I normally don't purchase fragrances online that I've never smelled before, but this was on sale and I figured, hey what the heck!
I am extremely pleased with the scent and the staying power, just purchased another because I know I will run out sooner or later!

I really love this! I bought this today as an impulse buy while picking up some new lipstick. I LOVE the scent. Very sexy, very sensual and warm. I feel like this will just mix perfectly in sweater weather! I hope this isn't bein phased out!

I fell in love with Peotica and I'm so sad that it is being discontinued. I purchased every roll-on and bottle available at my local Sephora Store, than I went on line and got some more. It should last me a long time, but I hope that something like it comes around again. I apply it from my big bottle around 6am and than reapply just a bit from the roll-on around 2pm and I can still smell it during the night. I'm really picky about my fragrances, but this is a truly precious scent, especially since it doesn't smell like every other women wearing perfume.

Quick Take: sexy, seductive, sensual
I have loved all of KVD's perfumes ever since I first smelled Sinner about 2 years ago. While Sinner is still my ultimate favorite (I feel that it is my own essence captured in a bottle) I also have Saint and just recently bought the Adora rollerball on sale.
Imagine my sheer delight when I got on this site today and saw that Poetica, the only KVD perfume I don't have, is on sale!!!! And what a sale! $25 when it's usually $55...I could not hit the "place order" button fast enough! And I can't wait to receive it! I may be a fragrance junkie but Kat's are the only ones whose scents deliver every single time! I get a lot of compliments from men whenever I wear her products too.
Sephora, please don't ever stop carring KVD!

I was soo excited when Poetica was released, and I fell in love with this scent when I tested it at my local Sephora. I even added it to my perfume collection!!! ^,^ Im just sad that its limited edition, I still miss KVD Adora fragrance!!!

I'm only giving this 1 star because the actual roller was pretty. I sent this back a while ago but I remember it being quite repulsive. Very old lady, musky smell. I think from now on I will only be purchasing perfumes I've smelled in person rather than take a chance. This got really good reviews so I thought I would try it. Oh well.

I absolutley adore this perfume! I've always been rather picky about scents; most perfumes smell like air freshener to me, but Poetica has a lovely warm and musky undertones that do not have a "I live in trees" vibe either. The best part is that the scent changes throughout the day to a fantastic night scent. I always put some on whenever I go into a Sephora and can't stop smelling myself after! ( It isn't as wierd as it sounds, I promise) Plus, the roller balls are six dollars- a steal!

I was hoping that the base notes would be more apparent with my own body chemistry, but unfortunately it was more of the other notes. Ordering this online, I figured that even if that did happen I would be okay with it, but for some reason it just didn't mix well on my skin and chemistry. I still gave it 3 stars because it's a good quality perfume, cute packaging, and is a decent smell. However, if this doesn't work for you and you want a sweeter, warmer smell, Saint is wonderful!

My boyfriend actually sent this to me as a present! This scent is fantastic, I had the Kat Von D Saint perfume that one was fantastic as well. This one has a more sexy vibe to it, It smells great, lasts all day! Love it!

Roll on version is convenient for touch ups of fragrance throughout the day. It does smell very nice but I think it would have been better for me to purchase the perfume bottle as well.

i was really interested in this scent after reading the notes and trying it in the store. after getting my bottle, i cant say i feel the same. in the beginning, the scent smells nice and girly but after several hours, the scent evolves into something much musky and cologne like.
