Quick Take: good value
I love this kit, but I still have a really had time getting use to the eye shadow in it. You really have to take your time with it. I love wearing the color turquoise, but the eye shadow doesn't go on like it really shows on it the kit. I really love the brush, lip color, eye liner. They are very pretty colors. I love how easily the eye liner glides on.

Quick Take: good value
The eye color does work as stated, however; if you have hooded eyes or touch your eyes it will turn blue where the skin folds when blinking. I have had zero issue with it turning blue where I don't want it. I did accidentally rub below my eyebrow and it turned blue so I had to rub the other side. This shadow is absolutely gorgeous!
The blush is my new HG blush! I love it more than any Nars, Benefit, BE, or Too Faced blush I own. This alone made the kit worth it to me.
The mascara is nice, but I have a ton of mini's of other kinds too so I really could have cared less if it was included.
The lipgloss is wonderful and really compliments the look.
The eyeliner was surprising because I love it so much. I actually don't have a color like it and I have been using it every day. It stays put all day.
The brush is wonderful and I have been using it even with other make-up. It's a really wonderful brush that is a nice addition to my brush collection.

nice package of goodies. The eye shadow is interesting, pretty colors. Blush is a nice natural shade, lip gloss is a pretty light pink, with a nice shine. The eye liner is a great color of very dark purple/navy.

Bought it specifically for the eyeshadow, but couldn't get it to "work" as advertised. It went on blue & stayed blue.
The other components of the set, however, I liked very much and almost considered keeping it for them. But in the end, $50 for yet another black mascara, eyeliner and lip gloss...... mmm nope!

When I recieved all of my products, this was the first item I wanted to try out. I dont know why everyone was complaining about it. It is AMAZING!!! I watched the tutorial video on how to apply the eyeshadow, and it was spot on.
It is very easy to apply (patting/dabbing on so the gold stays gold), and have the gold showing, and then give a slight brush to bring out the blue. I would have to say that the one bummer is that by the end of the night, all of the eyeshadow ends up blue, so it changes during the usage.

Quick Take: good value, travel size, nice quality, long lasting
This was the first set I got from bareminerals and I really like it. I've had it since the nee year and I still have lots more! (It doesn't run out quickly) I use the blush, mascara, and lip gloss daily. The blush is a perfect blend for my skin tone and adds a nice glow. My mascara actually came in full size! It holds volume and color all day and never smears/flakes. The lip gloss is just amazing, it sticks nice and the nude/shiny, light pink looks really nice. The two sided brush is pretty cool, I'd say the buffing end is nicer and the flat end is kinda rough, but it's quality. The star product isn't my favorite, only because the blue it turns into isn't a very good look for me or good for school, but I did find a way to put it on gold, although it transforms quickly to silver then bright blue. I don't regret getting this kit and I suggest others to try it!

I've read a number of negative reviews and think the problem is application. You *cannot* apply this shadow like your normal eye color. If you do as the directions say and literally *dab* the color onto your lid it will stay goldish. The moment you drag it across your eye it turns blue. This is the entire concept behind the color shift idea. You must also use a light hand or it can get very dark.
All that said, it took me some trial and error to get it right, and now I've very happy with it and can't wait for more colors from bM! The eye liner is fantastic, and I really like the cheek color. I don't normally use anything on my lips, but it is a nice peachy color. The mascara is great as well. I am very happy with the product.

Quick Take: good value, colors go well together
I really like all of the products that come with this kit. I have fair skin and hazel eyes, and the eyeliner and eyeshadow really make them pop. A lot of people complain about the eyeshadow, however I think it works great. I use an eyeshadow base before I apply it, and gently tap it on over my lids. If you use too much or tap your brush into it too hard, it will turn blue. Use a light hand! I think the color it turns to is really pretty; it's like a shimmery silver blue, but still subtle enough. The cheek and lip color are both a peachy pink, and go with the aqua-ish eye look really well. This may not be great for an everyday look, but whenever I wear it out I get compliments.

I was very excited to try the color shift eyecolor. I had been to Sephora multiple times and each time sales reps told me to try it. I finally decided to try it and I am disappointed. No matter how I put the eye shadow it always turns solid blue. I really liked the concept, but it doesn't seem to work as well as the sales reps said. I do not think I will be purchasing the Color Shift products again. I like the eyeline, lip gloss and mascara that came with the kit. But I purchased it for the eye shadow. :(

The multi-color eye shadow doesn't work!

I LOVE bareMinerals and everything in this kit is great EXCEPT the eyeshadow. It is supposed to change color when you smudge it so you can brush on a gold shimmer and just smudge the outer corners of your eyes to make it turn blue. Well, maybe I "smudge" all the time because my shadow, while it looked golden in the case, turned very, very blue all over my eyelid. I looked like 1985 gone horribly awry.

I adore the lipgloss, liner, and brush, but the "star product" didn't perform like I expected. Though the model appears to have both gold and blue tones from the eyeshadow, I found that even the lightest application turned the shadow silver blue--no buffing required. When I did buff, the color deepened to a beautiful cerulean. However, I was hoping for more flexibility with this shadow, and am disappointed that I can't get it to look gold.

I love everything in this set except the Color Shift Eyecolor. The blue is not a pretty blue, its a blue that you might wear to an 80's theme birthday party. Horrible. Luckily the lip gloss, blush, mascara and eyeliner make up for it. I also really like the brush, I just wont use it with that eyecolor.

I got itchy!

Loved everything for about an hour, then my eyes, cheeks and lips started itching! Removed it all and didn't use any makeup for a week. Tried again and had the same reaction! Wonder if the formulation has changed for all the products? I have seasonal allergies, but have never had problems w/BE products in the past. Had to return it all:(

I just recently switched to BareMinerals. This kit was a total departure from the colors I normally wear for most items, but I have received so many compliments on how great I look when wearing them. The eyeshadow is a bit tricky. I have found that using only a teeny tiny bit on the brush helps a lot. Get barely any on your brush and then tap most of that off. Lightly blot it on your eye. Go back and buff where you want blue. The liner is so smooth to apply. The blush and mascara are good and really colors I've always worn. The lip gloss is so light is barely noticeable and I normally wear darker shades but its the kind of thing anyone could easily wear.
