Love this palette! It is highly pigmented and the colors are fantastic. I have tried several combinations with this palette and have not been disappointed with the results. It creates a fabulous smokey eye!

I LOVE Kat Von D eye palettes but this is my ultimate favorite. The colors are amazing and offer lots of different looks in one palette. Her shadows are long lasting, smooth, easy to apply, and they look great.

Quick Take: portable, good value, great range of beautiful colors, no fallout
The colors are beautiful and blendable. I was a little worried that they would look too heavy on my light/medium skin, but they didn't. I was able to create a muted look for work that did not look overwhelming or clownish. If I want a heavier color application, these shadows are bulidable enough for that. The eyeliner went on smoothly, did not break and created an even line.

Quick Take: portable, good value
This is my first KVD palette I purchased and I was not disappointed. The colors are great, very bright and highly pigmented. The eye pencil that comes with it is great and goes on really smooth. I am very happy with this palette and will buy more palettes of hers. I love the tutorial video she did for Sephora about this palette (and all the others too) which is on YouTube. It helped me to correctly use these dark colors. The only thing I don't like is that you HAVE to use this with her High Voltage Eye Primer (or another primer) because that makes it stay put. I have been in a hurry twice before and forgot and put this shadow on without the primer and it was literally all over my face. The colors literally fell and shed all over, and there was glitter everywhere. But when used with the Primer this never happens and it looks amazing. So the extra step is totally worth it.

Quick Take: portable, good value, long lasting, beautiful color
Just the case this is in is so pretty itself but the eyeshadow is beautiful the colors are vibrant and it last all day! I’ve gotten so many complements when I wear it. Its very light weight and you and you can wear it a lot of different ways light or dark I use it for work and to go out. You don’t need a lot I bought mine over 6 months ago it last a long time which makes the price totally worth it!

First of all - I love KVD's line. The shadows go on beautifully, blend perfectly and it lasts all day!
I used this palette today and got SO many complements - even the optometrist who I saw today said I have stunning eyes... and thanks to this makeup ( my eyes aren't that great just alone haha)

Quick Take: flattering, stunning, lovely, very workable
First, I love this brand. The colors are so flattering. Stunning. I've never before gotten many compliments on my makeup.
But Poetica is just too lovely to describe. I have blue eyes so can only comment in that context. But you get these shimmering extremes that make your eyes just pop like nothing else. I've played with a number of combinations and all are otherworldly. The two darkest colors are just dramatic enough to draw out your eyes. The purples and lighter violets/rusts/browns are stunning.
Buy this palette. It is among my absolute favorites..but, like I said, I can only comment regarding blue eyes.

Thi s is my first KVD - got it from my g/f for Christmas. When I opened it, the colors took my breath away! They are perfect for my green eyes! They are creamy and very pigmented - would compare them to Urban Decay! I've been having fun putting color combos together - everything is flattering, so far! Lasts all day, as does the creamy eye pencil! I'm very impressed!

Another Amazing KVD Palette!!

I own all of the KVD palettes and this one was one of my last I ordered. I was skeptical if I would like it. I love all the other palettes especially ludwig and metal orchastra. KVD has never disppointed me so I had to buy it. I am so glad I did. The shadows are not chalky and have almost a creamy damp-ness to them that is fantastic. The shadows go on nice a thick and have great coverage. They also blend very well. This palette is especially cool since you can make so many different looks with the colors. There are oranges, tans - then dark plums/purples - then lighter purples and blues and a couple great highlights. This palette rocks! you won't be disappointed if you are a KVD fan or even if you are not.

I had heard about these palettes for a very long time before I finaly purchased one. I decided on Poetica because it has such a great range of shades in it and also because I love the lilac and burgandy shades. This is so perfect for creating a colorful smokey eye... you have so many different choices on how you can create a look and they all seem to turn out beautifully! It is even great to just wear one shadow by itself because the shades are just so pretty! The eyeshadows really do last and the same with the eyeliner! This is definetly worth the price for what you are getting and the great quality of it!

I absolutely adore Kat Von D so I couldn't wait to get my hands on one of her palettes! The colors in Poetica are so rich and beautiful! I just love it. I wish it had come with instructions for application or even a mock up of the style because I'm used to only using 3 colors instead of 4. Some of the shadows like the one on the far left has a lot of fallout when applying so it's a tiny bit messy on my face, but I still love it! I highly recommend this to anyone who loves rich colors, especially brown-eyed girls like me!
