Quick Take: disappointing, does not last
The lipstick disappears within an hour of application. The gloss is sticky. I had hoped the colour would be a deep shade as shown, or at least similar to the black honey eye liner, but it is quite a bit lighter. I would not purchase this product again.

Quick Take: poorly designed cap, great color for almost everyone, great gloss/lipstick
Great color, great gloss, great lipstick... bad packaging. I was very excited to purchase this product - loved the 2 in one. The cap of the lipstick fell off in my purse and makeup smeared on things. I thought it was user error, made sure the cap was on, and it happened again, ruining the product. I thought that maybe I purchased a bad one, and tried again. The same thing happened. Definitely a malfunctioning cap.

Quick Take: sheer, moisturizing
I had the black honey almost lipstick when I was a teenager, and I just recently saw that they still made it. As soon as I bought it I remembered why I liked it so much. The color is sheer, but definitely noticeable and I love the addition of the gloss. I have a hard time finding flattering lipstick shades, but this berry color definitely fits the bill!

Black honey is an amazing shade. I always get compliments when I wear it. I was excited to get this duo because I wanted the gloss in this form as opposed to the squeeze tube it normally comes in. The only annoying thing is that the lid for the almost lipstick pops off in my purse. After awhile, the almost lipstick broke off and I had to tuck it back into the tube. I hops the gloss would come with a wand by itself one day.

Quick Take: cap design flawed, great color
This color is a classic and almost universally appealing. The almost lipstick side goes on smooth and while it doesn't last a really long time, it does leave a good stain behind that keeps my lips colored. I do like the gloss too, though it's a bit sticky at first. Best of both worlds!
Leaving off one star because the cap design is flawed on the lipstick side. It comes off constantly in my purses, leaving streaks of product on the insides of my bags, and ruining the shape of the lipstick. Hopefully this can be resolved.

I love the almost lipstick line and the glosswear but had a hard time with this duo. The cap on the lipstick kept falling off and had a black honey mess in my purse. Thankfully didn't lose much of the product but still. Had to buy the almost lipstick on this shade to keep on my purse. Other than that LOVE IT

Quick Take: almost half a winner
I didn't realize that the sales lady had mistakenly given me the "duo" until I got home. Regardless, I gave it a try. Still love the lipstick side, but the gloss is pretty sticky to me. Also, the lipstick side doesn't retract all the way inside, so i keep bumping it on the lid. Won't be buying this intentionally the next time!!

Quick Take: worth buying!
I've been using this for years and will continue to do so. The shade looks fantastic no matter what. The only thing I would change is I would like to be able to make the color deeper when I layer it on...it always stays so sheer and 99% of the time that's great but sometimes I would like a little more impact for evening.

Love this color. Looks terrific. Gloss is a bit sticky, but still nice. My lid on the lipstick seems to be working for now. It is definitely looser than I would like. I took off a star because of the packaging. Color is excellent.

I love the base cold of this almost lipstick and the gloss is nice too. My only complaint (and it is substantial for a 20$ lipstick) is the the lid slide off the lipstick really easily. When I stick it in my purse about 60% of the time the lid comes off and it is not a good situation. Product is quality, packaging is not.

I was excited to try this since I heard so many positive things about it, but I returned it. The color goes on much nicer and lighter then the picture, but it is very sheer, and not enough color even for my pale skin and blonde hair.

Not too dark, not too light, great color, consistency and wear. I've always been a black honey fan, and this combo rocks! Very neutral, would work for most.

Loved it. Past tense. I only got to use it once. The metal cap does not fit this tube snugly and because the lipstick is not retractable, it broke off all over the inside of my Coach purse. Black Honey everywhere. Bummed.

Love, love, love Black Honey Almost Lipstick...love, love love Black Honey Long Last Glosswear...but if I have to purchase it as a duo only, it's definitely not worth it because of the flawed design of the lipstick end cap. Yes, it's that annoying to have it slip off in your handbag, cosmetics bag, etc, where it collects all sorts of dust & debris...I used most of the lipstick already just by having to continually clean the end off! Thanks but no thanks; I'll stick with the Almost Lipstick & forego the gloss.

Cap doesn't stay on the lipstick end

Quick Take: cap design flawed
Black Honey is a great color and this two-in-one product design would be so awesome - except it's impossible to take with you. The cap simply will not stay closed on the lipstick end of the product. Don't put it in your purse. Don't try to carry it in a make-up bag. The lid is going to come off. Tape it closed if you want to take it with you. I've got product all over the inside of my bag each time I've tried to carry this with me, and of course lost a significant amount of product too, which is a waste of money. Clinique seriously needs to fix this. I won't buy this again until they do.
