Koh Gen DO AQUA is the best foundation, I've used in a very long time. The ONLY problem is the color, I happen to use OC-2 which is a perfect yellow tan for my skin, but if you need to go one down or up OC-1 or 3 forget the color jumps is extreme. They need a lot more YELLOW instead of only 3 to choose from. then this would be the perfect match for all.

Dry and chalky

I really don't get the appeal of this product. I found it to be very drying, difficult to apply, and rather chalky. I exfoliate rather frequently, but this foundation highlighted the tiniest flakes of dry skin, and I moisturize VERY well, using a facial oil and a moisturizer on top of that. Maybe oil-free is not the way to go, at least not for me.
Needless to say, I returned the item for a full refund (which took a staggering 6 weeks to process).

Quick Take: buildable coverage, long wearing, high quality, dependable, non-drying
This is a really wonderful foundation. I keep coming back to it and it's my failsafe option when I need something I know will perform well. I LOVE that it is unfragranced (why do companies douse their foundations in perfume?? ick) and has great ingredients. I have normal to dry skin and the formula sits wonderfully on my skin through the day. Coverage is surprisingly high, and conceals redness on my cheeks very well. Never looks flaky or cakey. It's HD and it shows-I get a soft focus glow/blurring of pores effect that looks so so great. Very happy with this foundation and it will always be a staple in my collection! (other foundations I've tried: YSL touche eclat, youngblood minerals, alima minerals, givency photoperfexion, bb creams, jemma kidd light as air, guerlain lingerie de peau, burberry sheer, bobbi brown stick fdn, armani moisture, chanel lumiere...)

I love this foundation! It stays on really well- I apply with a beautyblender sponge and I literally have a flawless dewy finish. So excited about this product and its natural ingredients! I want to try all the rest of the line too!

I love that this foundation feels great and blends perfectly with my skin tone. I have fair skin with freckles and am very sensitive so I've tried a ton of foundations. I feel better knowing that it is more natural than most too!

I tried this about a month ago and now i love it and ordering another bottle just so i know i have a back up. I used to only wear Bobbie Brown, but this one is far better and it gives your skin a nice glow. I have OC-2 a perfect yellow based color for my medium skin tone. LOVE IT!!!!!!

Glowing Flawless Look

I love this foundation. It applies like a dream, is buildable, and has NO FRAGRANCE! It has a nice finish – just the right balance between dewy and matte.
I'm wear this in the shape PK1. I generally go or a darker color because i can never find the exact match for my complexion. The pk1 is the perfect match. In YSL I wear a b30.
I really love how the Koh Gen Do aollies. I have a parade of brushes, but I like this foundation best when applied with my fingers, and then buffed lightly with a foundation buffing brush.
My only complaint is that this is not longer wearing, By the sixth hour the foundation seriously fades, and after 8 hours, there is some serious oxidation. This is on combination skin using Hourglass Veil primer and Laura Mercier finishing powder.

I have a sensitive/combination skin. I am getting allergic reaction to most of foundation but not this one. I did not get a single rxn, such as getting little bumps on forehead or chin. I also love how it covers lightly and give sheer look.

I like this foundation because it gives good coverage & I don't feel or look like I am wearing a lot of makeup.
The non chemical SPF 15 is a bonus. It is a bit pricey but worth it and it lasts forever! I would definitely buy it again.

In 50+ years of wearing foundation makeup I have never used one as wonderful as Koh Gen Do. The texture and feel on my face is wonderful. It is not too heavy or too light and provides beautiful natural looking coverage. Best of all, there is no telltale line at the jaw line. love it!

I have never written a product review in my life, but this time, I am writing it because I love this product so much! I have dry skin so after several hours of wearing foundation, my skin usually becomes very dry and looks flaky. But with this product, my skin never dries out. Also, it brightens your skin tone without making you look like wearing too much make up. Because it doesn't have the best coverage, I would recommend this product to people with dry skin who uses foundation only to brighten their skin tone and don't need much coverage.

I have NC 35 Asian skin, oily, acne-prone, sometimes patchy. I usually will use Chanel foundations (usually Vitalumiere aqua or perfection lumiere), but after reading beauty blogs and reviews here, I decided to try it out. I have it in OC-2 and OC-3. OC-3 is a better color for me, but OC-2 is more for NC25-30 tones...but it's good mixed with my foundations that are slightly too dark for me.
The finish is dewey/natural...not shiny. It's light coverage, but you can blend it. It's easy to blend with fingers or a brush/sponge but I prefer fingers. It doesn't make my sensitive skin break out and it feels really good on my skin.
I know the selection of colors is limited, but the foundation is light anyway so it's not a big a deal as other foundation colors.

I rarely review products but this is too great not to share. I have dry sensitive skin and this is perfect for me. I love that I don't feel or smell a thing. But, more than that, it's so natural and light looking on my skin. I can keep it thin or put more on where I want it and it looks flawless without being cakey. I'm blending be1 and pk1 to make the perfect shade. The be1 really neutralizes all of my pink and then I actually am adding a little pink back just to warm it up a touch. It is pricey but it's easily worth it to me.
BTW, I thought the moisture foundation was great too and because I'm dry I was surprised to see how much better this aqua formula works for me.
I like that it is paraben free and it's very important to me that it's not tested on animals. I've recently learned that a lot of my cruelty free brands are now being sold in China which means if they don't test on animals themselves the government is doing it for them because it's the law. Because it was ultimately there choice to have China test on the animals, I don't consider them cruelty free anymore even though the labeling hasn't reflected it. I'm happy to say I've contacted this company and they are very opposed to animal testing and they are not selling their products in China.
This foundation is very versatile. It can be a thin TM or full coverage foundation! It has physical sunscreens which is icing on the cake.

This is a sheer coverage foundation. The color is bright and transparent, give the face a fresh look. Make every color u put on your face more lovely. It however require a smooth surface to build upon, so better to use some primer before this.

Favorite Foundation

After trying a few different liquid foundations after switching from mineral powder makeup, I decided to try Koh Gen Do, for what it's make without (less natural products cause my skin to break out). I received a few color samples from Koh Gen Do, as this product is not carried in my local Sephora. PK-1 matched my skin perfectly, and after the few trial days worth I received as a sample, without any adverse affects, I decided to purchase. For me, it's perfect, and my skin has never looked better.
