The result is a feathery light and soft powder foundation that moisturizes like a skincare product while it wears with a smooth, lightweight texture. Each Aqua Foundation shade is formulated for specific skintones. To diffuse redness, choose BE-1. Choose PK-1 for pink undertones and OC-1 or OC-2 for yellow undertones. I have tried so many foundations, and this is the only one i can stand. it isnt perfect but it is the best.
pros: It doesnt dry me out, feels light,looks natural and pretty.
Cons: darkens after 5 minutes (which is kind of good because it is too light at first), fades quickly (but not comletely- you start out with almost full coverage and within a couple hours it looks more like a tinted moisturizer coverage).

Quick Take: excellent, provides excellent coverage, too expensive for the quantity provided
There is a slight learning-curve with this foundation -- I discovered I need to smooth on, and then press on areas that needed more coverage. Also, it went on best with slightly moist moisturizer -- I usually let sunscreen/moisturizer sink in for a while before putting on make-up, but this works better on a slightly moist face.
I probably will not re-buy, though, because the amount of product is tiny compared to the price.

Emphasizes dry skin and fine lines

I generally like Koh Gen Do's liquid foundations and setting powders, so I was hoping to have success with this item, too. Unfortunately, this powder emphasizes every single dry flake or fine line on your face. I put it on only 1/4 of my face and knew that it had to be washed off --- it just was not flattering and did not provide any coverage.

Quick Take: not so moisturising
I like Koh Gen Do products in general, and I needed a powder in compact for touch-ups. The compact is sleep and beautiful, but the powder just doesn't feel moisturizing. Even the YSL Matt Radiant feels more moisturizing on my skin (I have dry skin). I'll keep using it, but I'm not sure if I will repurchase this Triple Lighting Foundation.

I expected this to go on creamy and dry powdery - instead it was dry dry dry. The color did not quite match my olive toned skin, and even after moisturizing it left dry patches all over my face. Very powdery, fake look - not illuminating or flawless at all. I have good skin that just needs a little boost , and this did not cut it.

I like this foundation a lot. I have normal/oily skin and live in a very humid climate. The only thing negative I would have to say is that it tends to emphasize the lines around my eyes

Quick Take: luminizing without glitter
I hesitated to use powder as I have older skin but the reviews tempted me and did not disappoint. Even though I purchased a color too light for me, it goes on like a dream and the finish is absolutely amazing. Hard to describe how beautiful; it lights up my face. It's very expensive and didn't come with a compact (sold separately) so that seems excessive but I have to say, the quality was very impressive and I would try again in another shade.

Flawless...nothing like other powder or mineral foundations. Not that awful fake glow. This foundation melts on skin and looks great all day. USE THE PRIMER. There is a reason for it and it makes a huge difference at the end of the day. Quick to apply but what a payoff. GET IT. The best part is that it doesn't look like foundation, but covers like foundation.

My skin is oily, even at age **cough cough**. (I'm medium toned, with mild rosacea) I've been wearing a popular powder mineral foundation for a few years, but found that it has been less than flattering lately. So, time for a change! Koh Gen Do in BE-1 covered my rosy cheeks quite well. The visual texture is soft, with light to medium coverage, which I prefer. I expect I could get heavier coverage if I kept on applying the product! By the end of the day I'm quite shiny! I don't know if I'm noticing it more because it's a new product, or not. Could be that the prior brand had already come off my face by the end of the day, so I didn't notice the shine as much. I'll continue to experiment.
I appreciate the refillable presentation, but there's not much product there for the price.

I recently purchased this product after reading all the good reviews. It has a great natural-looking finish, but unfortunately didn't have much coverage at all. I ended up returning it. I was disappointed as I really hoped it would work out for me.

I've been using the Koh Gen Do Triple Lighting Foundation for the past 4 months or so, and I love it. I started with OC-1 then switched to PK-1, and it matches my skin tone exactly. It goes on so smoothly. Sometimes I use a brushing of Laura Mercier translucent powder over the foundation before putting on blush. The foundation lasts all day. Even with my oily skin, the foundation stays in place. It doesn't shift or look cake-y. It works well over liquid concealer (I used Make Up Forever). I do get oily if I use the foundation on its own, but not nearly as oily as when I don't use foundation at all. I use a bit of foundation primer (Boscia or Make Up Forever) before the Koh Gen Do, and my oiliness is under control pretty much all day.

i really wanted to love this after reading the reviews. I decided to go with the powder as opposed to the liquid because i wanted a soft matte finish. my favorite powder foundation was one that i used for my wedding (by smashbox which is now a discontinued product line). i am a 4.25 in bobbi brown and that's a PERFECT match. this looked a little light but it went on okay. but 1/2 way through the day it started settling weird. at home it was just gross. i thought "maybe it was my moisturizer and primer?" However, i shouldn't have to change my face products to make this work. So I returned it all.

This powder foundation is silky-soft and makes my face feel silky, and the shade blends with my skin very well. After I use it as my last step of making up, people compliment me all day, even at the doctor's office! Love it!

Used alone this foundation didn't do much. When used with a primer my skin looked better than it's natural appearence but this was mostly from the primer. It kept my skin a natural semi-matte for a couple hours only. I have very oily skin so most makeup doesn't look good after 3-4hrs.
My sister who has more combination skin looks great with ths product but I won't buy it again.

This is such an outstanding product I have purchased it three times! One at home, one in my purse, etc. I use it as my foundation, after I have applied concealer. I am over 50, dry skin and THIS IS NOT A POWDER!! It is moist looking, totally natural, can be layered, used for touch ups, and never ever looks like powder, ever. I will never be without it. check it out!!
