Quick Take: sheer coverage
I use this powder to set my urban decay naked foundation, and it looks beautiful. I love the reflecting pigments in it, it makes you look dewey without shiney. And it seems to last a long time.

beautiful finish, i have sensitive/acneic skin and this has not broken me out after few months wearing it. it doesn't crack/dry out my skin. a little shimmer but hardly noticeable. it's actually quite pretty! i wish it comes in compact in addition to loose powder

Yup, it's official, I'm a Koh Gen Do fan for life! This powder is amazing! Unlike most powders the finish doesn't feel dry, doesn't look dry, in one word- it's AMAZING! I'll never use another finishing powder.

I used my powder brush to apply b/c I do not like how cakey powder goes on with a puff. Granted, for some people, a lot more powder than what a powder brush applies is preferable. This powder has no staying power. It doesn't make my face look any different than other high end powders such as Lancome, NARS, Laura Mercier, etc....Also, this particular shade is definitely for LIGHT and Light to Medium complexions, not fair complexions. This powder doesn't do anything to lessen the appearance of pores and fine lines. Doesn't accentuate but doesn't make them less obvious.

I needed a powder that I could touch up with and that could help with setting my foundation and got what I was looking for when I purchased this!!! It's very lightweight, sets my foundation perfectly, and gives my skin I nice glowy finish.

Quick Take: moisturiing and fresh finish
I've worn Erno Lazlo moisturizing powder for 35 years. They just stopped making it - so I tried the Koh Gen Do Maifanshi powders, both the translucent and the light-beige. Love it!! Smooths, stays fresh, can be re-applied during the day. Gives foundation a beautiful finish. I use all the Koh Gen Do products now. My face looks smooth-glowing and fresh.

I had high hopes for this powder based on the reviews, but I followed the instructions and watched the video and still found this to have a ton of shimmer. Unimpressed and going back to using Hourglass!

At first I wasn't sure there was anything special about this powder. I ordered it because I was looking for something a little more glowy, something like a Korean powder I previously had and was looking to replace. So at first I wasn't too excited about this powder because it doesn't really add any shine or glow. It is matte and sheer. However, after using it a few days (and make sure to follow the directions on how to use it), I realized it makes my skin look flawless and takes away any shine. The powder is so fine, it does not cake at all like other powders might. So I do like the product after all although I do not think of it as a "nice soft glow" powder as described. I don't feel like there is much of a glow.

I bought this with the aqua foundation. It is my first loose powder as I usually purchase pressed. It took me awhile to choose between this one and the regular face powder in a jar, but I settled on this one because I'm tired of my face looking flat and powdery. All I can say is wow.
First, the jar is huge. For the amount that's in it and the amount you need per application, I'm going to be one of those people that say "this will last me a lifetime". And I'm one of those people that use up a bottle of foundation and pressed powder compact in 1-2 months.
Then when I removed the sticker, I was upset when I saw reflects in the powder, like shimmer. I did not want a shiny face. But the "shimmer" makes up about 20% of the powder particles, as opposed to other powders that make one look like the tin man when applied, and it is SO finely milled that it completely melts into the skin when applied.
It leaves my combination skin in this state of perfection that I never thought possible: not dry, not moist, not matte, not shiny... A total homerun. It even makes my cheap foundations look almost as good as when I wear it over the KGD Aqua foundation.
It is so good I would challenge those who would never consider anything but a completely matte powder to try this.

My skin is fair (NC15/BE - Golden Fair) and combination oily. Although it has "ultra-fine pearl" shimmers, it is very subtle on the skin, and controls T-zone shine. This finishing powder has a light beige tint, so it matches my skin tone perfectly during the summer months, and during the winter months, it helps me look not so pale.
Also, I love that it comes with a powder puff in a big container (~3.25" in diameter) because it creates less mess compared to some other loose powders which you have to transfer onto a lid and swirl a brush.
Attached to this review is a YouTube video on how to use Koh Gen Do Natural Lighting Powder. The audio is in Japanese and subtitled in Korean, but the demo should be helpful, none the less.
