Quick Take: creamy, moisturizing
I bought Ellis Red. I don't wear red but this one is lovely. Not real impressed with the staying power, but all other lip color qualities (consistency, pigment, moisturizing, COLOR) are superlative. For the money, though, I expect better longevity.

Quick Take: long wearing
I've spent a few years looking for the right red lipstick. One that didn't turn fuchsia and one that wasn't too matte, making me look like an old drag queen. This is the one. It is a real color, one that is natural (like blood) but one that stands out from my face but enhances it at the same time. The applicator is something I've never seen before and took some getting used to, but now that I've been using it almost every day for a few weeks, I'm used to it. TOTALLY worth the price if you've been looking for something like this! Lasts a long time and I'm a big lipstick-eater.

I overlooked Lynn1979's review of this color and ordered it anyway. It's actually a beautiful shade but much more pumpkin orange than pink. I'm a blue-tone person and this just is not going to work for me.
Sephora website really doesn't offer actual color sample. Checkout the Ellis Faas website - much closer to real. The Creamy, Milky, Glazed Lips all carry the same description and I want this to work so I have ordered one Creamy and one Milky (in shades based on Ellis Faas website). I am looking for a good stain.

Richly pigmented

These liquid lipsticks are creamy and velvety, and go on with full color pigmentation. I don't always want that, as sometimes I want my colors to sheer out a bit so keep that in mind.
I've tried this in L101 Blood Red and in L108 Pale Peach. I definitely prefer Pale Peach because I have a hard time with reds.
I've attached a pic of both showing how they look on my lips.

Quick Take: creamy
I adore the Ellis Faas lipstick line. The colors are so pigmented and creamy. The packaging is also cool. Unfortunately, the creamy lips line does not work for me. The brush on this pen releases too much product and it gets very messy. Also, the choice of colors is not as versatile or flattering as the milky lips line.

I bought L106 - Rusty Pink. It should be called dirty orange. It is an ugly, unflattering color that has no hint of pink whatsoever. The applicator makes it nearly impossible to get any kind of clean lines on my lips, and the color does not last at all. Regardless of the color, this product is not worth $35.

These Ellis Faas lip formulas are the diggity-bomb!
Buy at least one for your collection and you'll love it. Priming the product to come out of the dispenser may take a few twists, but once it comes out, you're ready to experience a beautiful lip coloring experience.

L101 and L108 are my favorite colors so far. I think I want to try the rusty pink lippie next. I love the cool silver bullet packaging. One of the reasons I was drawn into the products.

L101 is the perfect red, the applicator is easy to use. I would recommend a liner to prevent bleeding but it won't be necessary for a makeup novice. The formula is creamy and won't dry out lips even after a couple of hours. Moves to the top of the list for lipsticks.

I absolutely love my creamy lips product. This was my first time seeing the brand in Sephora and after getting rave reviews from an employee I just had to try it. The creamy lips is super vibrant and lasts long, almost like a lip stain. It also looked great with my complexion. I was so excited that I bought their lip gloss in an almost nude (brown) and I love that too. Ellis Faas is definitely going to be one of my preferred brands from now on!

Quick Take: long wearing, creamy, moisturizing
Love this lipstick. It is absolutely creamy. I always apply lip balm before anything so if you have this issue, apply lip balm beforehand. The pale peach is soft and pretty and lasted about 4 hours on me before reapplying only because I ate during that time. Just reapplied. You will still notice a soft hint of the color on your lips though and it still looks pretty. Many complaints about the pen not working for them. I keep them in a dry place. It has been working for me because I leave the pen face down (as if it were in the Ellis Faas pen holder). So then it will only take a few clicks for the product to come out next time you intend to use it.

The colors were lovely but I found the formula drying.
But that is not the reason for the lower score. The mechanism of the pen is frustrating. Twist, twist, wait, nothing. Twist again, and a little eventually comes out. When I go back to use it another day, there is wasted lipstick all over the place. If the formula was truly incredible, I'd put up with the pen design. But it's not.

Quick Take: a bit dry
Color is terrific, very elegant to use, but does not stay on that long. It is a big investment and am not sure it is worth it. I have no idea how much product is inside and how it compare to a regular shaped lipstick.

Was unable to get the 'glazed lips' in the red I was looking/hoping for, so tried 'creamy.' It goes on more easily and cleanly than any other red I've used. It's neither dry nor greasy. The color is gorgeous and universally flattering. It does fade more quickly than I'd like, but it fades evenly. Doesn't migrate into lip lines. Have been using it almost daily for months - the color and applicator are holding up very well. And the tube stays shiny and presentable longer than most!
