Returned--eyeshadows have poor color payoff

Quick Take: overpriced, powdery eyeshadows, not as good as other too faced products
I think my title says it all. This was my first Too Faced Product. I have since purchased a lipstick and the natural face palette, which I love, so I am not just a TF hater. This particular product, however, is not that great. The shadows are too powdery to show up like I like them to show up on me. The blushes are ok. Lip glosses I don't like in palettes like this as you can mix powder into them and they get icky. Plus, with this particular palette, they tell you to mix 2 glosses together. I do not like that! You Hold The Key blush is great, but that 1 product alone is not worth the price of the whole palette. I think this was the first item I ever sent back to Sephora after buying online. I've only sent back 1 other item since then. So no, I really did not like this palette.

I absolutely love love love this palette. Not just for the pretty packaging but for the versatile collection of shades and the top quality. The shadows are very complementing with great pigment, the glosses look and taste great and the powders a super fine and shimmery.

This Too Faced makeup collection is absolutely storybook perfect! I ordered 1 and when I received it my daughter-in-law who was visiting me fell in love with it & wanted one too. So I returned online at Sephora (they were still IN-STOCK) and I purchased the 2nd In Your Dreams collection on 4/5/12. When my shipment arrived all of the other items I ordered were there, but the In Your Dreams (which #0875 packed & check marked my order) was not in the box. I called Sephora customer service on 4/10/12 and the customer rep told me that the Sephora computer system was being updated, he took my daytime number & said he would call back the next day to assure that my missing item was being replaced... Today is 4/15/12 & no phone call, no email... I called customer service back to inquire about my still MIA item & was told "OUT OF STOCK" & since this was limited edition - all I get to receive is an apology & a refund. I was tolld There is availability in a Sephora store 220 miles away if I chose to go purchase the palette but the stores are not set up to ship products from. :( Big Frownie Face to Sephora.com for not having better communications & plans for instances of "Over-Selling" a Limited Edition product and inability to pull from a Sephora store that DOES have them still in stock. This VIB is very disappointed.

Beautiful enchanting storybook collection by Too Faced. All of the colors in the palette are great and they show demonstrated makeup application views on the swing open door. I love it and would also be a wonderful gift!

I love this little palette. Great colors for a nice a neutral look or a smokey look. I just wish some of the colors werent so shimmery, but all in all it is a great buy. I love how it comes with 9 shadows, 3 blushes and 3 lipglosses, great for travel too.

i'm surprise at the size of the palette but over all i love the colors. it works very nicely together esp. on light to fair color skin. the lip color is beautiful and leaves a nice & smooth texture on ur lips...not gooey or thick at all. the top blush-i love!!!!! it works wonder on my skin and people ask what color it is:) love the shadows too....the middle row is my fave, but the other two are beutiful too...the colors go with almost everything!

To start off with there are better palettes, especially from too faced than this one. I love this palette, purely because of the blushes. Im not sure if it was just the eye primerS i was using with these eyeshadows, but i found them to either be sheer, hard to blend, to much fall out or no transfer from my brush to my eyelid. The blushes and color combos are beautiful, it's just hard to justify buying the palette with the horrible eyeshadow payoff. I would buy too faced sweet dreams palette although the blushes aren't as good as the ones in this one ;/

Quick Take: good value, pretty, easy to use
I appreciate the instructions and the suggestions for colour combinations. It was easy to apply the different looks and the product is beautiful. My only complaint is regarding the lip glosses - the colours look pretty, but once they're on your lips it doesn't look like you've put anything on but clear gloss.

I received a Too Faced palatte as a giftabout a two years ago, and am hooked! I use their Sahdow Insurance primer underneath and the colors stay fresh and in place for 10+ hours. I love the colors. Each look is different and beautiful on my fair skin. Even the blush and lip gloss were great. I highly reccoment this one, ladies!

I have the large Sweet Dreams Palette, and recently got this one as well, and I LOVE it so much! Aside from the intricate and beautiful packaging the blushes in this are hands down my FAVORITE blushes! They are creamy, and I don't have these colors in my collection. The bronzer is light enough it could even be a very neutral blush as well. I also love the shadows and lipsticks as well, everything in here is amazing quality, its definitely worth the purchase!!

The value for this set is amazing! You get three totally different looks and it teaches you how to do each one. The colors all blend really well. The only complaint I have is that I wish there were more of the colors I use most: the lightest shadows for the first two looks. I use the top two looks for day time and the third look for night. A must get!
