Quick Take: good value
I have been using the shower gel for a while and then ran out of shampoo. I noticed, that shower gel can be actually used as a shampoo, so I tried and was surprised by the result! My hair looks and smells gorgeous. Being a great fan of "2 in 1" products, I'm impressed!

I love this stuff... Pleasant smelling, not overpowering, very hydrating and makes my skin very soft. I don't wear perfumes at all so this is a very big deal for my scent sensitive nose...

Quick Take: good value, travel size
I love Philosophy. I really liked the smell. To be honest I don't think it smells like gingerbread but to me it smells of ginger, sugar, and spice and everything nice. In all, the smell is still fab and for the price it's a great value.

Alright, but doesn't smell like gingerbread

The lotion is so hard to get out! I don't know if it's because it's so thick, but I could not get the lotion to come out of the top. I had to unscrew it and scoop it out with my fingers and even then it was so narrow I had trouble and it got under my fingernails. The smell is not gingerbread or ginger, it is Sprite. I don't mind the smell, it's different, but I don't see how the smell is supposed to be gingerbread. As a lotion and body wash, it's alright, but nothing remarkable.

i should have taken heed of the reviews regarding the scent of this product. it definitely does smell like ginger - as in the raw ginger you buy in the grocery store. the products work great, as usual and as expected with philosophy, but i'm not a big fan of the smell. i will use it for function only, and hope the scent dissipates quickly.

Quick Take: gingerbread girl wasn't so gingery!
I was taking back by the smell I was so hoping for a gingerbread cookie smell but what I smelled was (Rootbeer & Cola) it wasn't a bad smell but wasn't a gingerbread cooking smell. My three year old grandson loved the bubbles and the lotion. I just felt it wasn't what it said it was so I returned it.

Ginger + lemon = nearly edible! I LOVE how this smells and it doesnt dry my skin out (the wash), and it made my hair soft and scented all day! the lotion is so soft and silky! it doesnt disapoint! It holds the same standards as all other philosophy lotions! LOVE this!!

i've been a philosophy girl for years and love almost all their products, especially the bath sets...this one has a nice sweet smell that just makes you feel good bathing with it...and the box can be used for storage of little things afterward....great buy for a gift or just to treat yourself!!!!

The gingerbread girl that didn't smell like ginger

I bought this set on sale for my grandson because he loves his bubbles. When I put the lotion on I couldn't help but think of rootbeer or off brand of cola. It's not a bad smell but not a great one either. I am going to return this as soon as I can.

Seasonal Favorite

Gingerbread Man is one of my favorite Philosophy scents and I first tried Gingerbread Girl when I ran out. At first I was very disappointed because the scent was so different and that it had more of a sugary scent then a gingerbread one. Its not a replacement for Gingerbread Man but another great winter scent that gets you in the holiday mood and makes cold winter mornings much more bearable. The gel itself is very sparkly but none of it stays on your skin or in your hair after you rinse. My only complaint with the duo is that the lotion bottle is made of a very stiff plastic which makes it tough to get the lotion out.

Quick Take: long lasting, smells like ginger ale
I agree with other reviewers in saying not a "gingerbread" smell, but I still enjoy this product. I was hoping for more of a warm smell of cinnamon and clove, but instead it is like ginger ale. The shower gel is very foamy and works well on my shower puff. I haven't used it on my hair yet, but I am sure it would lather really well! The lotion is wonderful! Very thick and perfect for my dry skin during Chicago winters! The lotion is long lasting and smells light and fresh.

The box and the products have a very cute design and the shower gel has a lot of lovely glitter in it. BUT the products do not smell like gingerbread they more smell like medicine. Like cough syrup.
