Quick Take: clears blemishes, gentle
Note - this does not quell breakouts overall. But as a spot treatment, it works nicely.
This is much cheaper than some other brands of salicylic acid treatments. Another great thing about it is that it doesn't make your products over it pill up, like salicylic acid normally does, which means it's fine under other treatments and your moisturizer. It does leave a little film, but once it dries, it's not really noticeable. And the packaging is very travel friendly. And because it's Origins, the product doesn't contain bad ingredients that irritate your skin.

Quick Take: exfoliating, effective
I love this stuff. It's super affordable, lasts a really, really long time, and it WORKS. If you have a pimple and put this on there, immediately it will start to tingle and it will be gone within 2 days at max. A tiny little bottle goes a long way, and this will last you forever. Works great, especially on big nasty cystic acne pimples (I usually get these one or two times a month)

I've used Clinique and Khiels' acne products before this, and in comparison this works better. I use this during the nights, and by the time I wake up my small and minor blemishes become flattened-though still red. However, I don't think this helps much with whiteheads. My acne tends to be hormonal and related to stress, so it's not too terrible, yet this did not help me clear them up. I'm not purchasing this again.

After reading the reviews I bought this because the price seemed somewhat reasonable and I do like Origins products. I was also looking for something with salicylic acid as I always hear about this being great for breakouts. This was just ok for me. I put this on and it seemed to prevent my pimples from becoming worse (bigger and puss filled) but they didn't seem to get smaller and really heal. When you put it on there is a tiny tingling sensation but it really did not bother me as some others have stated. Also I would recommend only putting this on at night because it does leave a film that can look flaky if it gets mixed in with your moisturizer or makeup. If you already know that salicylic acid works for you then I would say give it a try. Right now I am using Kate Somerville's EradiKate which uses sulfur, this seems to be working for me even though I still haven't found a product that takes the red out.

I purchased this a few months ago. It works pretty well as a spot treatment. Not spectacular but does its job. I am having a problem with cystic acne lately and I don't think there is any magic product out there for that, so I am trying to be realistic.

Quick Take: not helpful at all, kind of a waste of money
I was really excited to try the Origins line of products, as I have a very oily T-zone and a strange breakout pattern on one cheek, and have tried EVERYTHING. The reviews online and employees at Sephora raved about Origins stuff. I have to say that I am incredibly disappointed in all of it (I bought the Checks & Balances Cleanser, the Zero Oil Toner and the Super Spot Remover--almost $75 in products and nothing to show for it), but most disappointed in the Spot Remover. It smells like my spice rack and after three weeks of use, I see no discernable difference whatsoever in the breakouts on my cheek, nor has it done anything at all to help the other random ones I get from having such oily skin all day long. The other two products I got are almost as useless--the cleanser is good at taking off makeup (especially mascara), but my face is oily again an hour after I wash it. The Zero Oil toner was also a waste of money--it smells nice for about two minutes and then everything is shiny again, especially my nose, which is the problem I was looking to correct. I am very disappointed in Origins and wish I could get my money back.

Quick Take: exfoliating, dries up pimple, relieves redness
This is simular to the really popular Clinique Spot Treatment,, but this one works so much better. It really dries out and flattens my pimple and reduces redness better than anything Ive ever tried. Ill never by another spot treatment again. Its better than DDF, PTR, and Murad.

i saw some makeup guru rave about this on youtube and i felt i had to have it. unfortunately, on me, it peels off like a facial peel so after you put it on, you'll get this shiny floaty thing on your face that reflects light! don't even think about putting make up on after applying this.

Thoroughly disappointed. This product does only two things: 1. stings for a few seconds when you apply. 2. leaves a shiny "plastic" coating over the treated area. Other than that, it doesn't help with redness and it certainly does nothing to clear the blemish. I've tried lots of salicylic acids products and this by far is one of the worst. Complete waste of $13.50.

Quick Take: gentle, speeds up healing
I felt this product worked fairly well. It didn't seem to make a huge difference on my acne overall, however the spot treatment did seem to help shrink and dry up my pimples over a day or two. I liked that this product would sting a little when applied, I guess it made me feel like it was working, I don't know. It wasn't too harsh for my skin and it also helped with inflammation.

I am a huge fan of Origins and have most of their product. That's why I decided to go to them for something to fix frequent blemishes on my skin. Unfortunately I was disappoint with the results. I have been using it for about two weeks now and I have not seen any changes. I don't suggest this product to others.

Quick Take: intensive
This product stops an oncoming pimple and reverses it. The moment I feel a pimple coming I generously dab this on morning and evening and the pimple is gone. For me it usually works with the first application but I generally use it for two days (four applicaions) for good measure. Great product! I've purchase 2 times already.

This product has been amazing in drying up acne for spot treatment. Whenever I have a pimple, I put on the acne gel at night before going to bed, and once I wake up in the morning, the pimple is gone.

Quick Take: mattifying, intensive, effective, worth the money
I have tried countless acne treatments on my seemingly endless search for the most effective product. This spot remover is the best, most effective I have tried by far. Within a day or two of applying it to the affected areas of my face, I notice that most pimples have either disappeared entirely or reduced their size quite a bit. It is also a much more reasonable price than most spot treatments. Despite the bottle's small size, my Super Spot Remover has lasted me months. I would recommend this to anyone who has trouble with acne, whether they get constant breakouts or occasional pimples.

I don't feel like this product really did anything for my acne. I don't have severe acne by any means, but the little spots that I do have didn't seem to be affected by this product. Not worth the price.
