I absolutely LOVE this mascara. everywhere i go people ask me if i'm wearing fake lashes. doesnt flake off and lasts all day. comes off easily with a makeup cloth. Loveeee it!

For the price you pay for this, it's not worth it. Gets clumpy really quick with like 2 coats, the reg ysl mascara is better than this. With a name like "Shocking" you would think you would get the best of the best and you don't

Quick Take: clumpy smells strong
I really wanted to love this mascara and it makes me sad that it didn't work for me. The worst thing about this mascara is definitely the overtly perfumey smell. Even though it disappears once it's dry, it's very unpleasant while you're applying it. Every time I put it on it clumps and makes me look like I have spider lashes. Such a disappointment:(

By far, best mascara out there. I've tried Dior, Chanel, Lancôme, Big Fatty, etc. YSL is a combination of the best parts of all of the others in one product.

Beautiful Lashes That Don't Last

This should have been a five-star review - hands down this mascara does the most for my lashes - but it doesn't stay put past two hours. The mascara flakes and gets smudgy pretty easily. I'd also note that if you have any sensitivity to fragrance, don't get it. The mascara smells like roses.

My eye lashes have length and natural curl, so when I read reviews about how amazing this volume zing mascara worked, I had to give it a try. Turned out to be the worst kind I have ever tried. The brush itself is small. The mascara, was just black goop on it. I tried several times in combing out the lashes (to gt rid of the HUGE gumps stuck) and reapplying another coat, no difference. I wish I could give this product a better rating, being that I was so eager to have it be amazing. But It turned out to be a huge fail. :<

Goopy AND flaky

I am a mascara junkie, constantly trying different kinds. I had super high hopes for this one, given all the rave reviews. I am trying hard now to understand how anyone likes this product. It is disgustingly goopy and sticky, makes lashes look awful. Wish I had taken a pic to post. Then, after it dries, it flakes quite badly. I tried it a few times, using different techniques, but it's just not usable, so I will be returning it.

Quick Take: lengthening
I'm not a fan of YSL's mascara line. This is the second one I've tried only to receive the same results...a clumpy brush. The brush is so convoluted with gunk it's hard to get anything off the brush. Going forward, I'll stick with what's proven.

This mascara is probably the most amazing that I've used. Period. Yes, it goes on incredibly clumpy and yes it takes time and effort to get perfect lashes. However, the end result is more than worth it in my opinion. I've never had more compliments on my lashes than I do with this mascara, people literally do NOT believe they're real and insist on touching them. Once it's on, I find it's on for good until you take it off. Try not to get it wet as it does drip everywhere, so if you forget to take it off before showering you'll look like a raccoon. All in all, this is the best mascara I've used to date for volume and length, and I can't recommend it enough.

This is a great mascara. No need to compromise on length or volume- Does it all. It is scented with rose water, which surprisingly didn't bother me at all. Was a nice touch and not at all overpowering or perfume'y. Great solo, and also does beautiful things when using to blend natural lashes with false ones.
