This is subtle, beautiful, true to the photo, and last forever on my nails (without another topcoat, too). Just get it, it's an awesome value as well!

Quick Take: long wearing, fast-drying
originally, i bought this because i was in need of a good black polish (and $10 is a great price for 2 polishes). so, happily, i added these to my cart & bought 'em.
i was really eager to try these together because the illustration on the box is fantastic. while i always try to keep in mind that the pictures on the website/box are professionally done (and i am by no means a professional, especially when it comes to painting my nails), this was actually surprisingly accurate. i don't feel that the picture is misleading, as some previous reviews have said.
in fact, when i look at my nails, or when others do from a distance, they appear to be that captivating blue color. in the sun, my nails are quite a thing to behold, let me tell you! this duo works so well together, and i think the old vic polish (the special effects top coat) would look great over other darker polishes, too. i can understand some of the poor reviews, claiming that this might not be "blue" enough, but remember, you can always put another coat of the old vic on until you get the desired blue color.
personally, i did two coats and it looks amazing! i have had it on for nearly a week with zero chipping (i did put another top coat over the old vic, too), and it dried so quickly! i'd definitely recommend this to anyone.

I love the flecks of blue bits against the black, as the picture indicates. I feel that the blue flecks are not as intense in real life. I got the Donmar set as well, and that the flecks of orangey red did show up against the dark polish.

Quick Take: glossy
I really love nails Inc. Their polishes are high shine even before a top coat is applied. The blue in this is very subtle, but gorgeous. I'd definitely recommend it!

Loved the picture but in person it's not as dramatic. I didn't have a good black polish so it was just what I needed. Can't wait to use the old vic over other polishes I have.

Out of the 3 Nails Inc duos, I think this is the least impressive. There isn't enough contrast in color so they both sort of just blend together so it just looks like a blue nail polish. The polish itself is fairly long lasting. Chip-free for about a week. It would be better if this wasn't a duo. Sadly they don't sell it separate, so this is the only way to get the glitter overcoat. If you already have black, it pretty much just wastes $10 for something you already have. I would say go with the Wyndham Collection if you want one of these duos.

I really like this color combination. I was a bit skeptical about it, and overall the colors are similar to what is on the box. It does appear to be quite a bit darker than I was expecting it to, it is definitely a bit more subtle than what is shown on the box. It is a pretty nice set of polishes (this is my first item from nails inc) but knowing that they suggest 2 layers of the dark teal, and two layers of the overcoat, you do need to be patient to let them dry thoroughly. I am not so patient. I am excited to use the topcoat over other polishes I have.

I bought this product after reading all the great reviews and was VERY disappointed. It looked dull and lumpy after drying. Nothing like the photos. I never return items but this one performed so poorly that I am going to!

This is a fun nail kit, although I wish the iridescent polish was sold separately since I already have black nail polish. But no matter, it's a great effect and you can use the iridescent color with other shades.

I was hesitant to buy this as I had a feeling it would not look as cool as the picture but I am happy to say it is even better! It truly is so amazing with the chunky sparkle effect, this is definitely not regular glitter. The only dislike is that it is expensive for the amount you get, the bottles are smaller than most nail polishes. It lasts about as long as any other standard polish.

The balck is a great black! The other top coat basically turns the black into a metallic blue, so if you dont want metallic nails its not for you, ive tried it on other colors for so so results, it was okay but not for the price tag.

Quick Take: gorgeous, appears sapphire blue
the Old Vic is a great black base polish, it covers perfectly in one coat, the old vic top coat turns is a gorgeous sapphire blue speckled look, making it look deep navy. Im an OPI devotee, nothing will change that but this polish is a great alternative. it dried in a decent amount of time, a little longer than OPI but not a lot longer, its reasonable.
