I LOVE THIS SCENT! Recently, I bought my husband this cologne to supplement his current bottle of Lacoste's Verde (which is a great scent but it doesn't last through the day, and looses potency within a few hours). Not the case with L'Homme Libre, as I could smell my husband in the hallway of our home after he left for work 30 minutes before. When he came home, you could still smell it, even without additionally touch-ups. Overall, excellent purchase.

Quick Take: aquatic, ozonic, sporty
If you're into aquatics and you're bored of yours, try this one. I liked the top notes, but the dry down wasn't attractive, to me. It was a gift for someone whose natural scent blends better with spicy/floral. I sent it back. It is sporty, like the face of the campaign. It's good- just not the best example of this scent type.

Quick Take: sexy
I bought the 3.3 oz for my boyfriend for our anniversary. He loves it and wears it every day. It has good staying power. He puts it on in the morning at 8am and I still smell it on him around 5pm. I really love how it smells on him. Its a very good scent for a man.

I am so drawn to this (I'm a female) I totally would wear this as a base and perhaps add something a bit more feminine to layer it. I smelled this on a guy friend and boy was it enchanting to say the least!!! It lasts I found about 4-5 hours in relatively dry weather, not so much in humid or hot conditions, but this is entirely just on my skin.
But true to its nature I have some choice words: Arousing. Intoxicating. Musky. Sexy. Sensual. Virile. Unisex. Warm. Inviting.

Too bad YSL doesn't make an eau de parfum. I don't know what the other reviewers are talking about. This fragrance does not have the strong scent of pepper. It's a fairly light scent that doesn't last long, unfortunately. Otherwise, I love it.

I didn't know what to get my uncle for is birthday... But totally scored with this gift.. The smaller bottle, which still has a good amount was under 50 bucks. It smells great, bottle looks classy and I didn't have to break the bank on a gift. I had great success. Would definitely buy this again.

I had high hopes for this cologne, but I could not get past the pepper. The opening notes are fresh. It smells like stale cigarette smoke when the pepper kicks in. I do not own this cologne, but I have tried it once before. I own the other YSL l'homme line and highly recommend them.

I do like the smell..but its just not for me..it has that "Old man" vibe to it..its spicy..peppery.. masculine..kind of smell like smoke or something .i dont know..the smell is very interesting that's why i like it and SOME women do like this scent but i dont like it enought to wear it myself so i got rid of it....my 18 y/o sister also agreed and said it smells like a old man..and its too strong...I sprayed one wrist with Bleu de chanel and the other with ysl libre..she loved bleu the most...for older gentlemen..this is definitely a try

Quick Take: very sexy scent
This cologne is great. It's my favorite of the three YSL colognes and a great summer scent. My boyfriend loved it when I gave it to him as a gift. Everone else has complimented on how good it smells too. Definitely recommend if you are not sure what cologne to buy for yourself or as a gift!

Although this is a men's fragrance, I find the scent to be light enough for women. I got a sample awhile back and fell in love with the smell so I decided to buy it for myself. I think this could differently pass as a unisex scent.

I recently bought this cologne for my boyfriend as a gift. Ive also purchased the others in the le homme collection in the passed and Libre seems to be his favorite of all. YSL Libre smells so yummy!!! Sooo good!!
