Skip This & Just Buy The Hold & Control Smoother

Unfortunately the only good product in this collection is the Hold and Control Smoother, which is excellent. The others are either mediocre, like the serum and the setting foam, or complete garbage, like the hairspray, which is very drying and contains a lot of alcohol.

My hair flakes and the hold and control smoother was almost empty when I received it. I like the heat setting foam the most. I will continue to try the products, but will only purchase in store to ensure that I receive a full product.

A little bit goes a long way- you need to experiment with the amount you use until you get it right. I have short fine hair and too much of this product weighed my hair down. After I figured the right amount, my hair looked healthy and shiny! My husband loves the way it feels- not sticky or hard. This set is good for people (like me) who are new to the product.

I wanted to try all of these products, but I did not want to buy each one individually. They are great as are all of Carol's Daughters products. I mostly use the serum and setting foam and hair edge gel.

This product is definitely worth getting. It may be a little pricey but if you were to buy them each separately, you would see that this is a better deal! I love, love, love the way it makes my hair look and feel. It gives it a healthy look to it. I will definitely buy these products again.

Ok, so, I'm a natural girl- relaxer free for the past 7 years. I've been wearing wash and go curls for a long time, and decided to have my hair flat-iron, but needed some products to keep it nice. Well, I buy this set, and let me tell you, it was a God send. Being natural it's hard to keep my edges nice, but not with this pomade! The serum made my now waist length hair shiny and healthy looking. Then to give myself a different look, I used the foam to set my hair...can you say awesomeness?? Great products. So worth the money.

Provides shine and control without weighing the hair down. The pomade, however, does not "spike" the hair or define strands as well as other products. Therefore I use the pomade to help my edges and sides "lay" well and I am experimenting with other products to finish my style. The serum provides excellent moisture and heat protection.

So this is my third review on Carol's Daughter products today. Let's begin with the Heat-Setting foam. In a word...AWESOME!!! If you're the type that wraps your hair and sit under a dryer than this is what you need to keep your hair looking shiny. Follow that with only a few drops of the heat protecting serum, which adds a second layer of shine without weighing down your hair. If you're planning on flat-ironing the Heat Styling hairspray protects your hair while offering you touchable hold and the Hold & Control smoother keeps those edges smooth, also great for doing more sculpted looks. Definitely a must have.
