Talc is a no no
-04.27.13
Quick Take: sheer coverage
Ok so I bought this as my SPF throughout the day but then found out it has Talc. I had asked for a sample and purchased the powder just incase I would like it. I know certain ingredients can be bad for you but Talc is baaad for you. Any who it has sheer cover but still leaves a little white reflectiveness. I would buy if it didn't have Talc or have that powder look just a little.

Quick Take: reduces shine
I a very, very picky about finishing powders. This is the best I have tried, and I only gave it 3 stars (so I am being pretty hard on the grading =D). I want a finishing powder to do that, and only that, without adding a layer or extra coverage. That is exactly what this powder does. It does NOT provide additional coverage, which is what I want as I don't like the heavy layered makeup look. However, because the powder is so light weight, it does not last very long. and since the packaging is as a loose powder, it is not really feasible to carry it around in a purse. Otherwise, it definitely controls shine, and photographs well. But because it is SO SO fine, it will definitely not work well for people with very oily skin. So even though this is exactly what I need, objectively speaking it is lacking. Considering the price, I would try alternatives first. However, if you have normal/dry/combination skin, this will work fairly well. I also really, really like that it has SPF as well. I am not sure, however, if I will repurchase or look for better alternatives at this time.

I use this product under my makeup, and I have used it over my makeup, it works great either way. I have dark skin and it does not leave the skin looking pasty blends in very well, by the way I use pressed powder foundation but I have seen online that it works even better with liquid foundation.

great, very light

Quick Take: excellent
if you don't need a lot of coverage, but want to eliminate shine and have the protection of an spf powder, this translucent powder is for you. i have med-tan skin and although this looks too pale for me, it is light and natural. i also have acne-prone skin, and i haven't broken out. the price is totally worth it, because you only need to use a little. i slap onto my face whatever excess there is on the pad and i use a big soft brush to blend. this is the best powder i have ever used. it is lighter than bare minerals (which felt like a mask to me).

I like it and the pad in the package. It doesn't do too much. It is light but makes your face feel good. I would recommend it to my friends.

finishing powder

Quick Take: sheer coverage
I use this on top of my foundation, as it tells you to. I'm happy to say that it doesn't change the color at all - no darkening, no tint, nada. It looks as though it could go on chalky, but if you follow the directions (someone posted a video from Koh Gen Do on the non spf version of this), you'll quickly realize that you barely need any of this product in order to get the finish you want. The particles are so fine that it's important to simply press it into your skin instead of swiping, and to evenly apply a slight amount. The finish claims to be luminous; I'd disagree a little. To me, it's more of a natural finish than anything, which is exactly what I've been looking for - no overly matte fakeness, but the same texture that naked skin has - no sparkles, no glitter, just an even setting powder that you can't even tell is there. It doesn't clog my pores, which MUFE's and other finishing powders do. I bought it for the SPF, but I haven't really had a chance to test it. I wouldn't rely on it though, because the application technique ensures very sheer, light coverage.
Oh, and a tip: when removing the sticker covering the holes, make sure you hold the edges down. That way you won't accidentally pull out the dispenser and puff powder on your clothing, like I did. Also, the price is reasonable, considering how much product there is package.
