I needed a new, good eyeliner brush to go with my YSL eyeliner and what better brush for it than YSL own product. The brush seemed perfect when I purchased it because it was thick enough for applying my liner. However, it just wasn't dense enough for me. It felt sort of flimsy after touching the bristles a couple of time. I had a feeling if I wash this brush, the dried bristles would look frizzy and awkward. For $25, I didn't want to risk that.

Better than Expected

Quick Take: synthetic hair
I wear eyeliner nearly every day, but I prefer a tight defined line. When I took this brush out of the package I was immediately disappointed--the look & feel of the brush made think there was no way I could get a thinner, defined line. I just knew I was returning it. I decided to be fair, I should try it at least once. I've been using it for nearly a year now, daily. The brush provides whatever size line you want--thick or thin. Great definition.

Perfect!

Quick Take: synthetic hair
I used to use the Stila double-ended eyeliner brush, but a lot of the hair broke off or fell out after awhile. This brush is very versatile and draws a really clean line without getting extra gunky amounts of eyeliner on my eye. My only wish (and the reason I gave it four stars) is that it's a little difficult to get a really thin line. Other than that - I totally love it!

best eyeliner brush ever!!

I've never been able to use cream eye liner well because I've always struggled with the brush. Saw this brush and liked the bristles, so I decided to try it. The bristles are really firm and the point is very sharp. It was soooo easy to apply my eyeliner! I love it!

YSL eyeliner brush

If you like a stiff brush, this is the one for you. If not get the Smashbox angled brush. I wanted a stiff brush and like this brush but would have loved it if it was angled like the Smashbox one.
