I have had acne for most of my life. Still at 28 I still have it. This product is the first one I've found that actually works!! I've tried so many different products it was such a relief to finally find one that actually works. I generally have oily skin but using this product, the oiliness is almost completely gone. It is totally worth the cost and a huge relief to finally have clear skin.

Quick Take: good value, travel-friendly
I've struggled with acne ever since I was a teenager. I'm now 24 and my acne was at its worst. I had acne on my cheeks, jaw line and chin. No matter what I used, it wouldn't go away. Finally, I picked this kit as a sample for my bonus points and I couldn't believe the results. Yes, it didn't dry out my skin, but you MUST use a moisturizer with this kit. I use Clinique's dramatically different moisturizer every morning before putting on makeup and my skin is much more hydrated. I still get one or two pimples, but they go away within a day. My acne scars are fading and my skin overall is looking healthier every day. I just can believe that I haven't thought about using this product before. My mom has used Clinique products ever since I was little and swears by them. She even told me she used the same acne kit when she was my age and it helped her a lot. I'm a believer now!

This has completely cleared up my complexion! I don't need to wear makeup - my face already looks like I wear it! I will admit, it did break me out at first. But that should not affect a review, and I'm going to clear that up.
There are many different layers of the skin. The reason why we break out within the first few weeks is not because it doesn't work or our skin is sensitive to it (which sometimes can be the case) but normally it is because of all the dirt trapped down in the bottom layers of the skin. The reason why you get more acne when first using a product is because the top layers of the skin are cleared out, so it looks like you have no acne. But as the product really sets in (normally within the first 2 weeks), the dirt from the bottom layers is being brought up to the upper layers of the skin, causing more acne. Later on, the product will work just as it did in the very beginning and clear this up.
This is one reason not to review a product until you've really used it. I have been using this product for 4-5 months now, and it has really improved my skin. Granted, I also use this with the Clinique Acne Solutions Spot Healing Gel, which came with these three back in December when they had a special set. It was the same as this, but came with the gel. I really feel like this product is worth the splurge, mainly because it is very gentle on the skin.
Many have complained about this product drying up your skin. This is because the product has powders in it to dry up any access oil that you have, preventing acne. I recommend this for people with very oily skin, such as myself, but also recommend it to people with combination/dry/normal skin, but be sure to use it with an effective moisturizer as well. Then again, this product did not dry up all of my oil. I still get oily throughout the day, but not as bad anymore.

I have normal skin and have acne every now and then. I tried this out as it was a sample. It dried my skin out so bad that it started flaking. I have never had problems like this EVER. It took a week for my face to recover.

I switched to this kit after trying the Murad one. I don't know if it helps with acne because I only used it for a few days. It dried out my skin horribly & I had to stop using it.

i have struggled with acne for 10 years. i have tried every drug store brand and infomercial product i could find and nothing worked. but this system gave me my first day of clear skin in 10 years! it can be a little drying but it does its job.

This product is amazing!! It works miracles! I get some breakouts around my jaw line and since I started using these products I haven't had any. It can be a little bit drying on my skin so I only use the blemish control moisturizer at night and during the day I use an oil control moisturizer with SPF.

A while back, I thought I needed to purchase advanced/aggressive acne creams/washes/ect. But I found they were too harsh for my skin, and sometimes provoked breakouts.
I'm not sure which representative recommended this to me, but I'm forever in her debt. I noticed the results immediately, and my boyfriend complimented and noticed after a few uses.
I have combination skin, oily t-zone, and dry around the jaw line.
At first I was skeptical, but I'm really happy I gave it a try. I don't think I'll ever go back to using other acne treatments.

This kit made me break out so badly and my skin got so much worse! Some ingredient must have irritated my skin because this just didn't work for me! If you get this product I would try it for three weeks and if it doesn't work by then I would return it because it is very expensive... I do recommend the brand clean and clear!

My skin is very oily. Even though I wash it twice a day, I always get the occasional breakout.
As an adult, those breakouts are very embarrassing.
I use this product twice a day, at night I use a heavier moisturizer because this product might make your skin a little too dry and "leathery".

Quick Take: smooth
I liked it at first because it made my skin feel really soft. I have been using it for about 3 months and my acne is just a little bit better. It doesn't prevent future breakouts but they aren't as bad. I am left with mostly red marks.

Quick Take: harsh, not for sensitive skin
Ignore the stars - I really can't rate how well these products work because they burn like fire on my face, and leaves my skin red and splotchy. I discourage the use of this line for those with sensitive skin, especially if you already are on medication for your acne. Use a medicated topical cream on your acne? Avoid this line.

Quick Take: good value, travel-friendly
Though I read them incessantly, I hardly ever contribute to Sephora.com by writing my own reviews. However, since this product is so lovely, so decadent, I decided log on and share my excitement with the only skincare community I know of.
Just a quick swipe of the hand across my forehead is enough evidence to prove that this product actually works. My breakouts have reduced significantly with two weeks of regular use (AM to PM, always).
...AND THE OIL CONTROL! Oh, how sweet it is to have a face that feels like a plume of velvet, rather than a sticky, shiny uncomfortable mess of porousness. The oil control is the reason I'm writing this, since I have been struggling with acne for the past 6 years (Accutane twice) and nothing has combatted Exxon Valdez of the face quite like Clinique. As someone prone to dryness when using heavily chemical-based products, I was surprised to find my skin feeling so incredibly balanced. No flakes, no nada.
If my unbridled enthusiasm can convince one person to buy this product, then this post was well worth it. Happy face-washing.

I bought this product because I had a gift card to the store and I was looking for something to take care of my recent acne problem. I break out around my jaw and forehead mostly, but lately, it was everywhere. I use it just about every am and pm, but sometimes I skip because my skin gets really dry otherwise, especially around my eyes. I find that the clarifying lotion comes off if I use a moisturizer after, even when I wait 15-20 minutes. So I try and use the whole system mainly at night. So far, no mayor breakouts. Just my forehead seems to have noticeable blemishes but they don't surface. I figure it would take more than a couple of wks.

It is my third time buying this product and I absolutely love it. I used to be a proactiv believer -not that it's a bad product- but as I got older my skin type changed from oily to dry so I had to say goodbye to proactiv. This Clinique acne solution kit is mild enough for my sensitive/dry/complicated skin. Also, surprisingly the "blemish-free" part is actually true.

Quick Take: good value
I've used lots of drugstore products like clearasil, clean & clear, etc. I've never gotten such good results from them as I have with the Clinique system! I use it every single day, and it lasts me a pretty long time, which offsets the initial cost. I would definitely recommend it to anyone struggling with moderate acne!

I've had acne since even before puberty, so I have spent years and years trying to find the right product for my face. The first 3 days I used this, my face was a little bit dry (my face is very sensitive to benzyl peroxide), so I only put the Step 3 lotion on my problem areas. After that, there was no more dryness (and it's even Winter!). I have always had problems with cystic acne on my forehead, but since I started using this product, I have only gotten a couple serious pimples on the sides of my face, and I think they were caused by talking on my cell phone without cleaning the front of it in a while. Honestly, I have never experienced such a clear face since I was about 10 years old. Even the little black heads on my forehead are gone. I do get a couple random pimples, but the size/pain of them goes away overnight. This is the best product I have ever used, and I would pay triple the amount if it continues to work this well. If you've had problem acne your whole life and have sensitive skin, BUY THIS!!!!!!!
