So far so good!
-05.17.13
I've been using this for a few weeks, and I'm enjoying this product. I actually really like the smell (others here have said it's a little strong)!
Also, I have noticed a few more breakouts, but they're gone after a day or so, and not major. I'm going to continue to use the product to give me skin a chance to get used to the retinol, which I read can cause breakouts initially.
I feel like some of my dark spots are fading a bit after a few weeks, but that could just be wishful thinking! My skin feels much smoother and brighter.

not too shabby

I bought this because I will be turning 30 this year, had heard lots of good things about retinol and this product was praised in a mag article. You only need a tiny amount, which is great because of the price of the product. It didn't feel overly strong and I really didn't notice much tingle, but I did notice an increase in blemishes. Must be something in the formula that doesn't agree with me. Stopped using it a couple times to make sure the blemish increase was caused by that and really seems to be the culprit. HOWEVER, after discovering this, I started using it just on the crows-feet and brow-furrow areas and occasionally my whole forehead and it has made a difference! My eyes look great and tight! And I have to use so little since I am just spot-applying so it's lasting forever! For the rest of my face I just buff in some jojoba oil, which moisturizes and discourages breakouts (worth its weight on gold)

My first experience with retinol..pros and cons!
-05.07.13
Quick Take: reduces pores, fast absorbing
I just turned 33, my skin used to be combination-oily in my 20s but now becoming drier as days go by. I was convinced after reading all the reviews and the higher dosage of retinol stated in this product. I use this product 3-4 times a week, alternating my other night treatment from Korres. I can see that this really does help with enlarged pores and my fine lines (which began to form around eyes and lips) appear less tired in the morning. I'm not sure if this was the cause, but I began breaking out a lot and stopped using this since last night. I will have to see if I should decrease the times I use per week or if there's other cause for this ( I don't break out easily). So far, I am quite happy with the purchase and most likely will stick with it.

So far, pretty good!
-05.02.13
I have not used this product for a long time, but so far, it has made my skin feel super-smooth & silky. After using it for a few nights, I experienced flaking/peeling, so I stopped using it every night & I now use a moisturizer with it. I also use a mask & scrub at other times when I'm not using this to keep the flakes away (my skin can get flaky anyway). You only need a TINY amount, & it is expensive, but I did notice a glow about my skin. I'd recommend it! When I have the money, I'd like to try the similar product for eyes.

Quick Take: hydrating, moisturizing
Awesome product. Well worth the price. Will buy again and again. Perfect packaging for retin product (which it has a higher percentage of). Had no skin irritation at all. Gentle but effective. Worked miracles on my face. I had a laser procedure done under my eyes to remove some scar tissue and after the area healed it remained very red for months after. After two weeks of using this product you would never know that I had the procedure done. Worked so much better than the cream that my derm recommended. Get it you will love it!

I liked this serum. It went on smoothly and absorbed well. However, my husband couldn't stand the smell of it so I ended up returning it. I don't have a very good sense of smell so it didn't bother me, but he said he thought it smelled like sweat. :(

I really like this product. I saw a difference in the size of my pores within two uses. I have very fair and sensitive skin, and this product did not irritate my skin. HOWEVER, it did bleach my pillowcase :-(

Quick Take: reduces pores
I bought this because of the high retinol content. I started using this every other day for about 2 weeks until my skin was used to this serum. I didn't experience any redness or peeling. I now use this every night. I have noticed that my pores have reduced in size and it does give a nice glow after I apply it; but really, whose going to see me while I'm sleeping? I'm not sure if I am sold on this yet. I have been using this for 2 months and $85 dollars seems quite expensive if all it did was reduce my pores. The smell is ok; nothing offensive in my opinion. I'm not sure if i will repurchase.

Best I've found so far
-03.06.13
Quick Take: moisturizing
I'm a cosmetic/skin cream junkie, and this is currently my go-to product. I've actually re-purchased it 3 or 4 times. It's minimized my existig fine lines and really evened out my skin tone. In fact, one of my friends pointed out that I don't have any forehead wrinkles. However, after I ran out of this prodect and went a month without usin it, I noticed that I started developing noticeable forehead lines. So it really works, as long as you keep using it. Also, I've never had particularly pretty skin, even when I was young. But after using this, I've found that my skin tone has evened out and looks better than it ever has. One final thing I'll note is that I have sensitive skin but can tolerate this product. I've used Dr. Brandt time arrest eye cream, and it burns my skin to the point where I have to wash it off. This feels powerful but is not irritating.

The airtight packaging is perfect. It is a strong formula, but not so strong that I could not tolerate it. This is exactly what I have been looking for!

nothing spectacular
-02.25.13
I switched my entire regiment over to Dr Brandt products because the sales person said it is one of the best. I found that aside from being expensive, there really isn't much difference between this item and the other retinol treatment I'd been using. I went back to the other one - it seemed to work better and was less expensive.

Quick Take: exfoliating, eliminates dry skin
I usually don't write reviews but I have to. I am on my second bottle of this; I am hooked. The first few days I used it my skin got flaky and red, I was horrified but I stuck with it. Within a couple days it was gone and my skin was like brand new! I have had SEVERAL people compliment me, they say that my skin glows. It has practically eliminated my dry skin problem (that combined with Ole Henriksen Vitamin C Booster). I used to have such bad dry skin I had to live in La Mer Creme. Now I barely need moisturizer. I ran out and my skin hated me. I will never run out again. It also lasts a long time which is good because it is pricey.

Great, Innovative Power-Retinol
-01.31.13
Quick Take: hydrating, gentle, powerful, concentrated
Yet another Dr. Brandt product that addresses a myriad of complex issues--acne, acne scars, wrinkles, uneven skin tones--and does so very simply--and elegantly. I find this to be the 'power' of the two paired 'Glow' products (the Ruby Laser, while interesting in concept, has never done much for me, and is a bit thick). I am impressed by the potency of retinol that Brandt is able to work into the Overnight Serum as well, which was my initial reason for purchasing it--2% is pretty much double what you'll find in almost any over-the-counter retinoid, yet it is simultaneously gentle and feels light. I use it primarily for acne, and while I do continue to get the occasional blemish, I have not gotten a full 'break-out' since starting this treatment about 3 months ago. Well-worth a try and the price tag.

Simply the best! Must purchase!
-01.22.13
Quick Take: hydrating, exfoliating, moisturizing
The reviews do not lie. After careful consideration, I decided to purchase the limited time duel pack. The overnight serum is pure genius and a God send for acne-blemished skin. I have been using the product for the past 4 days and have already noticed a dramatic difference in clarity and texture in my skin. My skin feels a lot softer and the two stubborn blemishes on my check/nose are FINALLY less visible. It has made using concealer a lot easier to cover them up if I go out. I think with active every day use, my skin will continue to just only look and feel better. I'm really happy with my purchase and I'm going to order the full size of the overnight serum as soon as I'm finished with the mini one.
Pros:
+ even skin tone & clarity
+ no stinging, burning, or redness
+ fading of stubborn blemishes
+ no greasy feeling
Cons:
- pricey
- weird smell (but you'll get used to it)

Great moisturizer, but not enough for my acne
-01.17.13
Quick Take: hydrating
I used Glow by Dr. Brandt for a while and my skin was amazingly hydrated, but after a while--I started to break out. I couldn't use this product with my Salicylic Acid face washes and Salicylic Acid is what works on my acne. So I stopped using it and went back to Salicylic and my skin cleared up right away. I think if you have the type of acne that responds to Salicylic Acid--then it won't be worth giving up that acne fighting regime for a Retinol.

Perfect Name for it!
-01.09.13
Quick Take: moisturizing, smoothing
I really wish I took a before photo, but simply from my own memory of my skin before using this product I know that my skin has definitely improved. I've been using this product for about 6 months now and my acne scars have undoubtedly faded. For the most part when I say 'fade' I mean that the physical depth of my old acne scars have evened out. It most certainly 'resurfaced' my skin! The scars have lightened but not as much as I had hoped. I noticed the 'resurfacing' about 3 weeks after my first use. My skin tone evened out as well. It went from being super red in my cheeks to slight redness.
I have very sensitive skin because I have eczema but I didn't have any side effects. I use the serum about 3 times a week after I wash and use a light exfoliator and I put on my usual daily moisturizer and then I apply the serum. I read somewhere that putting on moisturizer before using a serum with retinol helps to pull the serum into the skin while also ensuring your skin won't dry out. Since it does have retinol I used sunblock whenever I knew I'd be outside but my makeup also has SPF 20 in it.
