Best cream for tightening skin

I tried this after having very agitated skin from retinol. My facial skin was desperate for relief from the pain, swelling, peeling, and puffiness. I had a 15 ml 100 point size of this cream. I put it on my skin and it tightened my skin so much it crimped up! I waited till my skin was healed and then I tried it again because of the tightening and had great results. I then bought several of the Algenist products because they are effective. My skin doesn't crimp up now that I don't use retinol any more, and since this line has so many beneficial effects on my skin I don't need other treatments. I am thin and I run a lot so my neck is thin and the skin had some creepiness but this cream has diminished that significantly. Highly recommended.

This is a fantastic moisturizer for under makeup. It absorbs quickly and completely and there is no tacky feeling or added weight. I do see firmer skin and have been pleased overall with the quality and quantity!

Quick Take: lightweight, irritating
Me and my mother both got one of these and we both had a bad skin reaction to the product. It was different for my mother than it was for me and I have to mention I tried this less than a week after having microdermabrasion performed on my skin so I don't know if that was an issue. I did notice a slight plump effect but it was not enough to keep me using it as it irritated my skin. I don't know if I would give it a second try in the future just to see if my skin peel was a reason for the bad reaction. I did like that it was not sticky, had a faint floral scent and it did show a little plump to my face. I was just disappointed overall and sent both jars back.

I had tried several samples of this but it was really out of my price range. After receiving a gift certificate for my birthday, I immediately used it for this moisturizer. I love how my skin feels but naturally haven't yet seem any firming effects. I'm sure that will take weeks, but for now, I'm very very happy. I just turned 60 and firming is a huge concern for me.

The best lifting moisturiser I ever used. Try everything including dr treatment moisturisers ( like Dr Perricone ). Easy to use under make up. Not greasy. And with visible results. Have been using it for over a year.

I don't typically write reviews, but I felt compelled with this product. I had ordered it with points as an add on to my order. I used it daily, but didn't realize how well it worked ....until I ran out. It is pricey, but one of the few things I can say is absolutely worth it!

Though the product delivered on promises of lifting and firming, it contains dimethicone which irritates my skin. However, my husband's skin loved it. He will use it without asking, which is extremely rare.

Every time I use this product my skin looks and feels amazing. It has a very interesting texture and glides into the skin in an unusual way. You have to use a decent amount but the results are amazing. Very refreshing on the skin and I always look forward to using it.

Quick Take: lightweight, hydrating
I've only just started using this cream in my quest for a new moisturizer with an anti-aging kick and so far this cream is just so-so. It hydrates well and hasn't caused any irritations or breakouts. Other than providing a bit of a plumper look (presumably from the hefty dose of hydration, which is a lot more intensive than my previous moisturizer), there are no visible signs that I've switched moisturizers. Definitely no firming or lifting or extra-glow. Quite disappointing. I'm hoping that noticeable results just take more time and because this moisturizer is so lightweight yet intensive on the hydration front and doesn't irritate my sensitive skin, I'm willing to give this one a bit more time. I find the smell really off-putting though - like a faux-citrus air freshener scent that doesn't belong on my skin and doesn't match up to the price tag of the cream. I also don't like that it comes in a tub, preferring the lower contamination/oxidation risk of a pump. As first impressions go though this cream is worth a try (and a bit of patience to decide if it's a keeper for the long haul).

Product is expensive but it is real good. Having tried a small sample, I have no hesitation in switching to it immediately for my skincare. I need the lift and tightening to my slowly sagging skin and to protect it from further droops. It moisturizes well and smoothen the skin. I am happy with it.

So I received a 10 day sample of algenist, While I liked it a lot I didn't notice any HUGe changes in my skin. Indeed it was softer and some of the smaller lines disappeared but it didn't even out my skin as much as I thought it would. I used it twice a day.

I bought Algenist Firming & Lifting Cream along with Firming & Lifting Eye gel for my husband who is in his mid 40s. He really likes them both, and has gotten great results. It takes time to see the results, be patient.

This firming cream is thick and rich, absorbs easily and goes to work immediately erasing fine lines and wrinkles and giving skin a smooth look and feel. Don't stop at just the face either, work it up your neck and across jaw line too....fabulous results!!

The BIG downside: It is WAY too expensive. I can't afford this stuff, but I received one as a gift. It changed my skin appearance within a matter of 48 hours, and it only got better! Smoother, more even, clear, supple.
I am 31 years old with relatively good skin and few problems, but as I get older, I'm always looking for ways to keep my skin looking beautiful. I struggle with slightly uneven skintone and enlarged pores sometimes, as well as some bumpiness. I also LOVE that it's formulated without parabens, pthalates, or other harmful garbage. I have an autoimmune disease and am highly sensitive to all chemicals. This stuff doesn't bother me at all. Hope this review helps--not every product is right for every skin type.

This is my third jar of Algenist Firming & Lifting cream. When I run out and have to use something else, I cant wait till the Algenist comes. I use it on my face and neck and it is the only firming cream I have ever used that really firms. Its not greasy or heavy- I put on my minerals makeup right after applying this cream. I wouldnt pay this price unless it really worked.

This stuff gave me cheekbones! No joke, I now have contours on my face that I've never had before, including a better jaw line. And the deep frown grooves, ironically from smiling too much, are seriously diminished around my mouth! Not sure exactly how it does what it does, but I love it! I've been using for close to 2 months now, at least once a day - sometimes morning, sometimes night, sometimes both. For extra moisture, I do rotate in the Overnight Restor (PM) and Anti-Aging Moisturizer (AM) from this same line. I do wish they weren't so expensive, but I'm willing to pay based on the firming, lifting & overall skin conditioning results I'm experiencing. Sorry, I haven't been as diligent about tracking the effect on my fine lines (but I'm in love w/ my sample of Amore Pacific Moisturebound Eye).
