The quality of the Nail Files at Sephora seem to be getting worse? I only used it for one time and it was splitting!!!!

Wonderful file for $1!!

This nail file has fine grit on one side, perfect for filing out the little nicks you get at the end of your nails. The other side is super fine grit (I'm not sure it's really even a grit) that is perfect for smoothing the ends of nails and might even work for smoothing ridges out of the nail bed if used lightly. I haven't tried it for that yet because my nails are poished right now.
If you need a nail file for filing down length quickly, this is not for you. But otherwise it's really nice and it looks pretty too.
Also having it's own plastic case to carry it in is definitely a plus. I will be buying a few more.

Quick Take: good value, works well
not sure why people are complaining when it's so cheap. it works well and it doesn't "go dull" after your first use, it's just your nail powder getting stuck in the paper. there's nothing wrong with it and i like the design. it shapes quickly and it leaves a soft finish. not too course, unlike another file i bought from sephora. i like how it comes in a plastic case so you don't scratch anything in your bag. too bad i didn't wait a couple of days before it went down to $1, but it's still a good value at $4. would buy again.

Quick Take: adorable, cheap quick gift idea
First off, the 4 star rating is because I didn't personally use it, since it was bought to gift, so I couldn't tell you how the quality is unlike the other reviews about it.
I helped my sig. other pick out birthday gifts for his sister, who loves doing her nails, and he told me she loved it! We also got her the "SEPHORA COLLECTION Travel Manicure Kit", which also has a small metal file (Item # 1380286), and a few OPI polishes but he told me she said this was her favorite. It was only $3 and with the cute cheetah print, how could you not adore it?
