Quick Take: not worth it!
I love how big the travel bag is and that it is TSA approved. However, the travel bottles are useless; their idea of spill-proof means that the pumper straw doesn't go all the way down to the bottle. The result is that it is impossible to use your products. The travel bag that I purchased was not a mesh bag, but clear plastic, which ripped after being used a couple times.
Needless to say, I returned the product to Sephora (thanks to their awesome return policy) and headed to Flight 001 for new cute travel bags and to container store for travel bottles.

I am a frequent flyer for business and was excited to find (and order) refillable bottles. But when you travel, it's all about small sizes and carrying things that are as compact as possible. When I got the bottles I realized how bulky they are compared the amount of product they would actually hold- there is an inch of dead space at the bottom and the pump/cap adds another 2 inches in height. I can fit two 50cc travel size bottles in my liquids bag for same space taken up by one of thee 50 cc containers. They are very pretty, and if you don't care so much about space they may be just what you need. I almost never return products, but these are not useful to me at all.

Like other reviewers, I could not figure out how to use the bottles and ended up throwing them away! The two jars that came with the set are useful - I use them for face wash and body wash while traveling. If you can figure out how to use the bottles this might be useful but it was a wasted purchase for me

Not everything I wanted but good enough

I waited for this set to come back in stock for a month or so before it did, and I have to say I was a little disappointed. I travel frequently so the bottles being big isn't a problem, but what is most frustrating is that there are labels for exfoliants but the bottle do not work on body scrub. I tried to put my philosophy olive oil scrub in the bottles and it wouldn't pump, and this is a very liquid based scrub. So the product that I wasted pouring that out of the container was a bummer. The bag is very cheap and while I am using it I don't expect it to last long. I agree this set needs to come with instructions, labels that are accurate to what the bottles can hold, and also some blank labels would be nice for me to fill in other products. Also I had a really big air bubble problem with one of my bottles when putting lotion in it, I feel as though this could have been avoided with instructions.

Quick Take: kind of frustrating but still worth the cost.
Who couldn't figure out how to use these bottles! I actually returned the first set I bought because one of the jars leaked and I thought none of the pumps worked but I exchanged it for another set because I liked the concept of the bottles.
They should include instructions with the set. It's not easy to figure out how to get the product out after filling them.
I've read some good tips here on lowering the bottom of the bottle only enough to allow the amount of product that you want because it takes forever to get it out if you've pushed it too far and it's really hard to get it out of the bottle once you've put it in!
They are also really hard to clean. If you don't travel a lot, the residue left in the bottles will go bad and it's hard to clean it out (even with Qtips!)
Regardless - I like the set and will keep the new set I got. I won't use the bag that came with them - it seems pretty cheap and I don't need the whole set for every trip so it's not necessary.

A bit difficult but worth it

Quick Take: awesome
After reading many of the recent reviews I was worried but purchased the set anyway. Best tip was to start pumping until the base level reaches the amount of product you want in the bottle. Worked like a champ. As for the adhesive dots not coming off, ever hear of Goo Gone or Oops?

The quality of the bottles is good and the fact that they have the quantity each holds will be good if TSA goes through my bag. That's why i gave them four stars. The lack of a fifth star is because I had to come to Sephora's website to figure out how the bottles worked. So much for having two engineering degrees!! I like the way the pumps work once I figured out how to use them. Directions on the packaging would have helped! One tip-pump the top of the empty bottle until the base comes up to the level of how much product you want. Then you don't have to fill them completely. I can't comment on the bag because I won't be using it.

After reading so many reviews about pumps not working, I decided to test out mine before the big trip to avoid surprises. It worked like a charm. A few tips to make sure you get it working every time:
-Avoid air bubbles when filling up
-Try to lower the base only enough to keep the amount of product you want. The more space you leave, the more you'll have to pump.

The only cons is that it takes a bit of time to wash out the product, but it's nothing that a few qtips cannot fix.
Overall, I would highly recommend this product.

Quick Take: travel bottles
I was very excited to try these bottles and am so disappointed! The pumps do not work, the bottles are bulky and the glue used by the manufacturer does not come off the bottles. I would return them but can't even find a good way to get all the product I loaded into them out. They are a huge waste of time, money and the waste of product that I can't use or get out of the bottles.

I was pretty disappointed with this. Could never get the pumps to work and the bottles are actually pretty big. For just a few nights trip the amount of space / product used is way too much. I should return it, but the jars are functional. Save your money

I love these bottles! The caps stay secure and you don't have to worry about the contents leaking onto your travel bag. Great for flying. I like how you can label the bottles to. These bottles are definitely worth the cost!

Quick Take: a waste of money
After only two months of use the zipper tore away from the plastic. One of the travel bottles airless pump never worked and I found the bottles were designed with too much extra bulk. I did try and return this to Sephora but the thought of having to empty all my expensive products out of the bottles in order to return the whole set was to much bother. The only good thing about this product is the preprinted label sheet.

This bag is perfect. I have bought many "cheaper" travel sets, and they split, crack and leak. This set was so worth it! I travel a lot, and having the labels, the different size containers and the bag that fits it all is great. Plus it is very slim, so it easily slips into any suitcase. Thank you!

Quick Take: compact, travel friendly, chunky, nondurable
this was a last-minute pickup before I went to china. Everything filled to the top passes airport security checks & everything. the real problem was when I got to china. every one in a while, it would leak & one, I accidentally dropped one & plastic body shattered. they're a mess to pour liquid into & if you don't have enough for the jar, you have to pump endlessly until you can get the product to come out.

I love this travel set. I always over pack and trying to get all my shower stuff and my moisturizers can be a hassle. It is small enough to fit in my purse, everything I filled lasted me a little over two weeks and it is DURABLE. I was staying at my friends and her puppy tore into my suitcase. All the tubes were in prefect conditions the case however was destroyed. It is worth the price.

I do a lot of traveling, so I figured this set would be perfect for me. I really like it because its functional and the bottles are of a good quality. I was particularly impressed by the quality of the jars; they are really solidly built and of the quality I would expect from a full size product. The bag itself was also of a much higher quality than I expected. However, there are a couple of minor issues that keep me from giving that fifth star. The first is that the bottles are difficult to clean, but this is only an issue if you plan on changing what products you put in each size bottle, which most people won't. I found that if you fill the bottle about halfway with water and shake it a bunch, it is possible to get all of the leftover product out, but this is a bit of a waste so you might not want to do that with more expensive products. The second issue, which I think is more of a big deal, is that if I go on a trip and only use half of the product I put in a bottle, there is no good way to push the bottom down and completely refill the bottle. Again, this is not a major issue or a deal breaker in any way, but it is something I didn't realize until I started using them.
Overall, this is a great product. I wish that I could buy the bottles individually, as I would like to have one or two more without having to buy a whole second set.
