perfect choice for starter

As a new Laura Mercier fan, this is the easiest way for me to try out all the popular products from them. Also, good valued and the color of the lipstick works good for me. Blush is awesome. Eyeshadow is in normal color which I already have a bunch of earth tone ones, but this one still comes in good quality. The only "drawback" is that I don't use brown mascara... I only use black.But I wouldn't mind to give it a shot.

Quick Take: good value, subtle, natural looking colors
The colors in this kit are perfect for fall/winter. Great for that everyday, subtle look and it's housed in such a cute, sturdy makeup bag. Some of my favorites are:
The gel lipstick - the color looks intimidating at first, however, once you try it on, you'll find that it's actually more of a sheer flushed color, rather than a dramatic red color. It also keeps my lips looking hydrated and it feels great on my lips!
Brush - I love the pony tail end! Great for contouring and blending.
Primer - It definitely comes in such a generous size. Since I only need a little bit of product for my face, I know that this is gonna last me for a long time. Keeps my makeup in place and from melting.
The eyeshadow duo and blush is great as well. The colors are subtle looking, and they're matte as well, so it looks natural. Mascara is okay, nothing dramatic or "full blown" as it is described. Just something that you would pair with your everyday look.

I got this set for the eyeshadow duo, ponytail brush, and lipstick. I honestly did not have high hopes for the brush. I was shocked to find that I like every item, even the bag! The brush is great, the shadows are perfect for a subtle fall look, the lipstick is a great formula, and the bag is classy looking and good quality. The only item I'm not nuts for is the blush, just isn't the best color for me. I do think ill like it much more in the summer, fall and winter sees me wearing a lot of purple/berry tones so this peachy/orangey blush doesn't do anything for my overall look.

Lovely Kit In A Great Bag

I ordered this kit after looking at a number of makeup kits since I wanted something that I could use for travel and/or carrying around filled with products that I would actually like and use. I saw this kit and got excited when I saw the colors of everything and the products included, which I would indeed use on a regular basis. When the kit came in the mail I was even happier with my choice. All the eye, lip and cheek colors are genuinely pretty and universally flattering. And not one weird color in sight that I just don't know what to do with and end up wasting since it clashes with everything else in the kit and on me too. I love that this kit has a miniature mascara, primer and a decent makeup brush too. The product sizes are smaller travel sizes, but still plenty substantial for touch-ups or those times you need makeup on the go.
And as an added bonus the bag itself is actually much nicer and prettier than what's shown in the product picture, with a really pretty silky multi-colored lining. It's also roomy enough I can add a tube of BB cream and some powder in there and still have room left over if I decide I want to carry something else. All in all this is simply one of the best makeup kits I've ever owned.

Quick Take: good value, travel size, high quality
If you haven't tried LM products, you should get this set because it has everything you need for a basic look.
I got this set because I've heard many good reviews about the primer and lipstick. I also like LM brush quality so I thought this set has very good value.
- Eye shadow: nice quality, not much pigment as Urban Decay's shadows but the texture is matte and subtle enough for office/school day look. Using the brush in the set, I could blend the color very well on my eye lids.
- Lipstick: don't be fooled by the bright color. It goes very sheer on your lips and I believe the shade looks differently on different people. This reminds me of famous Clinique honey lipstick that works for all skin tones.
- Brush: bright coral and very pigment, you only need to dip the blush brush a little bit.
- Mascara: I didn't expect much but I was surprised that it helps my straight eye lashes hold the curl. You won't get volume/lengthen effects with this mascara though. Good for day look.
-primer: i don't need to say much about this, guess everyone already has 1 or 2 of this primer here and there in your makeup cabinet.
-duo brush: very soft and high quality. The flat end is not as stiff as the UD Naked 2 brush and the fluffy end (blending) works very well on my crease. However, i feel the flat end doesn't pick up much eye shadow as the UD flat brush.

Love it! I love corally melons and this is so pretty. Def not the worst 35$ I've spent on makeup. I would rebuy. Best I can tell the blush and lipstick look close to full size (I'd double check for yourself.)

I love Laura Mercier but this was really not worth the money. I don't understand how it can be advertised for being worth so much. Everything is tiny and similar to the free gift cosmetic companies give out with purchase but it costs $65. I'm sending it back. I was really looking forward to getting this.

I love coral, and had been wanting to try LM's blush when I spotted this kit. I would have given it five stars, but it seems like all her collections come with Foundation Primer, which I don't use. I'd like to see them change it up with a different product. The eye shadow texture is very soft and blendable. Sandstone is a beautiful shimmery peachy/pink, maybe similar to Lancome Vue but lighter. Cognac is a bronzey/coppery brown, not very dark but provides a wonderful contrast to Sandstone. Others have commented on the depth of color achieved, and I agree that if you're expecting the brown side to be very dark you should go with something else. But if you like a softer, more natural look, these are perfect! The blush appears intimidating in the pan but applies softly to give a nice pop of color on the cheek. The shimmer in the blush is subtle and gives a nice glow with no obvious glitter. Gel lipstick color is right on trend, lips feel moisturized and are left with a light stain of color. Brush is nice, as are all LM brushes; mascara is good & I find it gives great volume and acceptable length, but again, I would like to see LM switch it up and put a different mascara in these collections. Overall, great kit that I would definitely recommend!

I think this set is a great value- the lipstick and blush are gorgeous ( bright but sheer and build able), the brush is very nice and the bag is cute. I'm a little disappointed that the eyeshadow isn't very pigmented, but it's still pretty. I haven't needed the mascara or primer, but I've used them in the past and it'll be nice to have them on hand.
Overall, I'm happy with the quality and colors, I'd just suggest a different eye shadow if you're not looking for super subtle color.

Quick Take: good value, beautiful, easy to use
The best things about the kit are by far the lipstick and the blush. The lipstick has a really smooth feeling to it and allows you to gradually deepen the color. The blush is a great Spring/Summer shade especially for my Medium skin tone.
The eye shadow colors are really pretty but not necessarily what one might pair with the other colors and thus 4 stars plus I am not a fan of the applicator. The primer is amazing as always!
The mascara is good but not great with a big brush applicator which makes it hard to get at the little hairs.
I highly recommend it! Also can never go wrong with another make-up bag!

Quick Take: good value, fresh
this is a lovely set for spring and summer. the gel lip stick is sheer but has a great color pay off, the blush is sheer, but buildable... both are a perfect coral that will look amazing and fresh on all skin tones. the eye shadow is great, nice warm color perfect for the season! the mascara is average though, im sticking with my dior show, and who doesnt have a ton of the LM primers floating around?

First, I have to preface everything by I love Laura Mercier products anyway. So, I thought I would try this. The lipstick is wonderful. It feels so light and fresh. It doesn't stay as long as other lipsticks but such a nice feel to it. The eye shadows are small and so is the blush, but it makes a great collection to travel with.
