I love most of her products but this kit-- Not so much. The Not so much products are the eyeshadow which OMG has such a funky stale oil smell to it that I could not put that stuff on my eyes. The mascara flakes off and the eyeliner pencil is not something that stays Put!
Her Argan oil and her cheek sticks are WONDERFUL. i've purchased them in the past & will continue to purchase them, but the rest of this kit does not live up to her product line. I can't get over the horrible odor to that eyeshadow compact!

Quick Take: natural volume lip gloss in optimism
You can hit or miss with items in a kit, but generally the pros outweight the cons. I liked the colors of the eyeshadows, but the texture and impact were downfalls. The cheek stick is awesome, the argan oil is nice. I have not used the mascara or liner yet, but I LOVE the lipgloss in optimism. The shade is gorgeous; there are tiny flecks of pink and gold and the argan infusion really does leave my lips better then before. I really do see the benefits of argan oil in this kit.

Quick Take: good value
I was skeptical to buy this because of some negative reviews but all I can say is wow. I think Josie Maran had this Josie in mind when she made this set!! The eye shadow is great the colors compliment my skin stone and also stay on for hours !
The eyeliner was just what I needed and it does not irritate my extremely sensitive eyes . The mascara was great
It did not run or smudge .I had actually had given up on eye makeup until I found this set. The argon stick in this color is just made for me its so amazing on me. The argan oil I use for my face and body. The lip gloss i use as chapstick its just a little too glossy for my taste but still great. This is a great set for anyone just try it.

i love these kits and these products! please see video for swatches of everything (sorry it is a re-up since i had to move channels). :) i use the raven eyeliner daily (with shadow over top to set it) and love the mini go go mascara.

Quick Take: good value
I don't get all the negative reviews. I've had this kit since the spring and really enjoy it. I'm allergic to parabens so I find this line wonderful. I like the kits for variety and value. 3 kit of hers I have ordered this year. I love the eyeshadow and wetting the shadow would help those who think it isn't enough pigment. I have six of her color sticks and really like the product, I'll swipe it on cheeks eyes and lips, they look great on lips. The mascara is the best paraben free brand I've tried. Argon oil has changed my skin since using it for 7 months. It's clearer, less red and the tone has even ed out. I'm forty six and people think I'm much younger. In fact tinted moisturiser is all I need as a foundation. I gave my mom the lipgloss as she has just started wearing it and I had a color similar to this. It's nice gloss, no complaints but Buxon is my fav.Eyeliner works fine. I have very dry and sensitive eyes and her products don't bother me! Coming from someone who stopped wearing makeup for several years due to severe allerges this line is a godsend. These kits are a great way to try multiple items. I highly recommend, it's the only way I can afford her line in kits.

I was really disappointed in the set. The eye shadow flakes terribly. Once you touch the palette with a brush, it flakes all over all of the other colors. the mascara is below average and the eye pencil is nothing special. I wouldn't recommend this purchase. :(

I had been dying to buy this kit since it first came out. Maybe it was the anticipation, but I ended up being disappointed with it as a whole, something I didn't think possible since I love Josie Maran products.
Looking at the kit, the colors are beautiful and summery and just give you that happy feeling. Unfortunately that doesn't necessarily translate into the dream kit it should be.
The mascara is nice, it seems like it hydrates my eyelashes, something I never actually thought about in a mascara. It's not my favorite mascara out there, but I do like it. As with all sample mascaras, the small package can make it a little awkward to use. The eyeliner is pretty good as well, a little smudgy, but a lovely onyx-y black. The argan oil itself is always wonderful, since you really can use it however you want. I like to take some of my every day face moisturizer and mix a couple drops in for a nice, dewy look that works well when I don't feel like foundation or powder. The color stick I did not like at first, but it has since grown on me. I'm pretty fair, so I really need to use a light hand with it, or the coppery bronze comes out looking very strange on me.
The two products I really wanted to love were the lip gloss and and the eyeshadows. Those were the ones that ended up disappointing me the most. The lip gloss is a very nude beige. I end up having to layer it over a stain or else the beige totally washes me out. The eyeshadows are absolutely gorgeous in the package- I actually squealed when I opened the compact and saw them in person, because pictures don't do them justice. I only wish they were more pigmented. I have to layer, and layer, and layer (even using a lid primer), and the color that goes on my lids is a pale comparison to what is in the quad/liner set. The only one I don't really have a problem with is the navy eyeliner. That goes on smoothly, and exactly the color that you see. I only wish the others were as smooth in application as the eyeliner. I have a really tough time blending them as well.
I still love Josie Maran products, I just feel this set didn't really showcase her stuff as well as it could have. I'd love a kit with another hair serum (that stuff is a life changer), maybe her illuminizer, a small sample of her creme blush, and one of her less sheer lip glosses. But that's just a dream! :)

Quick Take: over-rated, expensive n useless
As a fan of Argan, i paid out the full price for this set. Eyeshadow is junk, the color stick is not so good and I only ended up using a couple of items from the set.
Don't bother with eyeshadow, it is too sheer even after putting gobs on and it doesnt stay put either. Lip gloss is so so. Only ended up using the eyeliner and oil.

I love the Argon oil, and needed a refill, so I thought this would be a good way to get it and try some of their products.
The mascara was fine....it is no better or worse than what you get from a drugstore. Kept my lashes soft, it was very subtle and natural. I tend to go more towards Big Gal or Buxom, so it wasn't a good fit for me, but if you want something subtle, it would work.
The eyeliner, again, was underwhelming---very soft, but it can't compare to UD in pigmentation or staying power.
The bronzer...so sad. It made my face look dirty. I'm going to use it on cleavage and legs, since I hate to waste it. But I wish they would have put a color stick in, for blush instead, because I really can't use it as bronzer.
The eyeshadows were TERRIBLE. Beyond a doubt, the worst thing in the kit. Dry, you cannot get any color. Like, none. Wetting the brush and rubbing really hard, you can get some color, but it doesn't blend well, and the blue made me thinking of an 80's Barbie doll. Didn't stay long, either. Honestly, I have bought stuff at drugstores that was much, much better.
The lip gloss was the best part of the kit. Very soft, non-sticky, and lasted and lasted and lasted through 2 glasses of wine and an entire evening of talking. I will FOR SURE be purchasing the lip gloss by itself.
But overall, I only loved the lipgloss and the oil....the eyeshadow was awful quality, the bronzer not something I could use, and the mascara and eyeshadow were decent, but nothing remarkable, that couldn't be bought for much cheaper.

Quick Take: good value, travel size
I really like this kit, it is alot of fun and a great value. I was quite nervous of the blue eyeshadows, because I find it hard to use blue. This set makes it pretty AND easy. The shadows are quite sheer, so the color is buildable and very wearable. The shadows have quite alot of gold in them, and the dark blue in the corner is more of a blue-gray, so that is not overwhelming. The other blues are kindof icy blue and gold-blue. The eyeshadow is full size, which helps make the kit a deal.
The rest of the kit, the eyeliner is a very soft pencil (full size), which is my favorite type, I like being able to blend it easily. Some like the harder type liner, if you are one of those people, you probably won't love the eyeliner. The mascara is a good amount (travel size, but quite big), and although I find it doesn't do outstanding things for my lashes, it is a good basic mascara, and it stays soft on my lashes. They don't feel brittle at all, even after all day. It can of course smudge quite easily though.
The gloss is a basic sheer gloss with a hint of gold/bronze to it. Just a nice gloss, it feels high quality. Although the color isn't anything bold, it goes well with the "look" the kit is promoting (it is full size as well).

Quick Take: worth the money, a must try all skin types
The kit is perfect for a small purse; has everything u need. I love the argan oil; the tint stick is a nice goldy bronze and smooths on your lips and cheeks without a cakey feel. The mascara is awesome; fills out the sparse lashes, loving the eyeliner too. ALL in all, very cool kit!

Worst eye shadow ever

I hated the eye shadow palette in this so much that I returned it even though everything else was pretty good. The brownish shade of shadow I could barely get on my brush and then it didn't show up at all on my skin. I used my smudge brush to try and scratch up the surface and that didn't help much either. The other 4 colors were kind of grainy and not very pigmented. I loved the argan stick in bronze. Loved it! I wish I could buy it seperately. The mascara was just ok. I love the argan oil as always. Lip gloss was pretty and not to sticky. I didn't try the pencil.

Quick Take: boring, poor payoff, expensive
I found the payoff with the products to be non existent. Perhaps I'm spoiled by UD and Lorac etc, however, I was extremely underwhelmed by this kit. It will be going back. I know some people keep it just for the oil, but I can buy that in so many brands it doesn't have to be this one. This was my first Maran purchase and it was super underwhelming!
