perfect color palette
-04.29.13
Quick Take: travel size
I was a little hesitant to spend so much on this palette, but the colors are perfect. easy natural look every time. the lip color is stunning. My only complaint, the brush that comes with the set, broke in half on the first use.

My favorite palette ever
-01.22.13
I love the wearability of this palette. Gorgeous colors! I will say the highlighter is a bit too shimmery for daytime wear for me.

Incredible

So amazing. Great quality great colors. My first Ed bess purchase was the face brush which I love, than I had to have the concealer, this and the French quad is amazing! Monti Carlo and the other is next on my list!!

Love it so much I bought it again!
-11.11.12
This is a great palette. The shadows are perfect neutrals and the cheek cream is perfect - I can use it to contour or as a blush/bronzer. The cheek cream is so creamy and blends so well but has great staying powerl. The highlighter is so-so and the lip glosses are also so-so. But, I throw this palette in my suitcase when I go away and am set with eyeshadow and blush/bronzer.

'Emperor's new clothes' makeup
-08.06.12
Quick Take: color fades quickly, poor color payoff
This brand is all hype. I purchased both this palette and the Daydream bronzer. Both are incredibly expensive and have virtually no color pay off. This no-makeup-makeup line is just a fancy marketing way of saying you wasted time and money to look exactly like you did before you bothered applying makeup in the first place.
I'd rather use a more pigmented brand with a light hand than apply layer after layer of this with virtually imperceptible results that then fade entirely within an hour or so.

perfect neutrals but too much frost and glitter
-05.28.12
Quick Take: too glittery and frosty
I keep buying Edward Bess because of the shades, which are quite prefect on my NW20 skin. Even though I have a sneaking suspicion that the products are the generic kind that someone slaps their name on, I love the fact that all his colours seem to work on me.
The Lip/Cheek section is the best of the palette. It's the ideal 'my lips but better' shade... a pretty nude-pink that doesn't deposit too much colour. It's pinker than my Compact Rouge, After Sunset, which I also love.
The Highlighter is unworkable. It's the exact opposite of my All Over Seduction in Sunlight, which is perfection. This Highlighter is nothing but sparkle and glitter, and I can't think of a reason I would ever use it. It doesn't even add colour, just glitter.
As for the eye shadows , the two lighter colours, an ivory and a beige, have so much frost, I can't think of a way to wear these either. The two darker shades, a rose-gold, coppery pink and a medium brown seem to have less frost and are flattering neutrals for daytime.
The two glosses don't have much pigment and I see no reason for both, since they are easily interchangeable. They have a sticky and tacky consistency.
I'm keeping this palette for the cheek/lip stain, which as I wrote, is a great, flattering neutral on me. That turns out to be a very expensive lip/cheek stain.

Very dissapointed
-05.12.12
I was excited to try this palette since I had never heard of the brand before. I sent it back after 3 days. I couldnt be more dissapointed in the quality for such a high price. The colors are very pretty however the quality is that of a cheap mass retailers no brand makeup palette. The shadows required a little touch of water just to make them stay on my lids and the glosses were so tacky.

Great colors
-05.10.12
Wow
I love the unique eye colors. I can go from no makeup to fantastic in minutes. I am blonde w/ blue eyes. The eye shadows make my eyes POP, each color is rich and unique, they look great alone but together really add a rich professionally made up eye. The lip and cheek stain is long lasting, I do wish the lip stain had more color than just brown, but will try the berry palette next.
The glosses aren't the best, but the eye colors, highlighter and stain are wonderful.
It is expensive, I agree..but after seeing the depth and perfection of the 4 shadows, I can't give less than 5 stars just based on how incredibly much this palette can improve my appearance n a few swipes.
I compare this to the finshed look of most palettes and this one really looks fantastic.
This is versatile..day look to night look is doable.

Seriously?
-04.05.12
I do buy too much makeup and this is one of my worst ever purchases. The only reasons this is getting two stars is because I do like the colors. But for the amount of money spent, there should be a lot more product. The smell is that of a children's toy make-up or candy. The lip gloss is sticky. The eye shadows have no staying power whatsoever. I really am sorry I wasted my money on this. Had I kept the box where it came in I would return it. Used it once and won't bother with it again.

Creamy smooth coverage
-03.27.12
Quick Take: expensive
I hate ordering when I haven't seen the real thing in store and this is why; undertones. I'm very fair and browns can look muddy on me as was the case here. The texture and coverage were wonderful, but the brown shades did not work. Love the highlight shade and the lip color is fab. Nice color and not gooey sticky. I'm keeping the set for the light eyeshadow and lip color, but can't wear the shadow or blush. Way too muddy for me. Why not have some samples in store so we can avoid this? My overall rating is a two more so because of the high price.

Colors Much More Blah In Real Life
-03.21.12
These look nothing like the photo online—they are soooo brownish and blah in real life. The palette was so expensive that I couldn't bring myself to even try them on lest I ruin a perfectly good product that someone else might like.

Love this. All the colors are very useful and pretty. The cheek/lip shade is lovely and the only double duty product that isn't too dry on the lips.

Neutrals done well!

Great kit for those who want a classic/neutral look. Even those with pink undertones can wear this. Great color selection, everything works with each other AND his single shades. Love it.
