Awesome eye primer!

Quick Take: color correcting, creamy, crease resistant
I used to use a similar product from MAC, but will never go back - this is lighter (weightless) and the coverage is excellent - perfect primer for eye shadow that doesn't crease, and is as perfect at 6:00 pm as it was at 6:00 am!

I have used Eye Canvas for awhile. It is easy to use. I use my fingertip to apply. My eye shadow lasts until I take it off. What I really like is that one pot lasts me several months. So, it is less expensive to use.

Long lasting, too colorful

Quick Take: long lasting
This eye primer is wonderful: it helps keep my eyeshadow on ALL day long! The only negative thing I have to say is that it is very pigmented. I wish they had it in more of a clear shade. I apply it with a foundation brush, but I always make sure it is well blended because it can streak easily. It's very think, but I think it helps with the long lasting results. Overall: great product.

Quick Take: not a product for mature skin
The issue is that the sephora assoicates do not understand mature skin. A drying eye primer is all wrong for mature skin. My eyelid skin flakes off after I use this product. What is the point for this primer if your skin cannot tolerate the formula. However the associate assured me that this would be fine for my skin. NOT. I will keep only for use in the hot hot summer months. I would not recommend in the winter.

When I first used it I thought I would send it back. It seemed very dry and hard to apply eyeshadow over it. But I used it again and realized I used too much. You don't need much. Now, I really like it.

I have always had oily eye lids and just started using this last year. It goes on smoothly, you will want to make sure you blend it because it stays put once one. Sometimes I just wear the eye base and nothing else on my lids. When I do wear shadows, the colors look better and I don't end up with a crease of color like I used to. The other benefit that I have found it when I have a really stubborn "spot" I can use it as a base that *really* sticks and then use a more perfectly matched color for the area.

This is the first time I have used this product. In the past, I have used Laura Mercier's liquid eye base. I prefer this product to the liquid because I think it gives me better control over the amount applied. The texture and consistency is smooth and it goes on easily. I would buy this product again.

I don't wear eye shadow, but I picked this up at the recommendation of a Laura Mercier rep to use on my LIPS! Works great! Red lipsticks always seem to bleed or feather on me but with this, it stays put. I got a shade I could use on my eyes if I wanted but I don't think the color matters much since you put so little on your lips and then cover it with a lipstick. I have used glosses, mattes, silks, combo products, and pencils. They all stay put. so those of you who like it for your eyes, try it on your lips too!

I have paper-thin eyelids that are not smooth and do not hold shadow (and I've tried everything).This was exactly was I needed. My shadow goes on smoother and stays on longer and just looks better. I even use it when I don't wear shadow.

This product is the best primer I have ever used (and I have tried at least 7 from Sephora brands). It has zero irritation on my sensitive lids and I can wear eyeshadows for 12+ hours without a hint of creasing. The best way is to apply a very thin layer with your fingertips- just enough to cover imperfections. My eyes stay perfect the entire workday and into night.

Glides on smoothly. Stays put. Keeps powder shadow from moving. Great lasting power. You can use it under your eyes and on the lids. Amazing it actually works. My shadow stays and doesnt melt all over my eyes!

Quick Take: does what it's suppose to do
A little goes a long way. I just stipple a a little under my eyes and voila! Gone! I am constantly trying new concealers and blending my own concoctions and by far I am really happy with this one. I don't need to do any mixing with other products and it doesn't cake or dry out. Looks natural and camouflages my dark under eye circles extremely well.

I normally don't write reviews on products, in fact, this is my first. I just felt so compelled to, so buy it! I had formerly used the NARS shadow base, and for whatever reason, this one works so much better for me. I have somewhat of a hooded eyelid and my makeup will usually wear off within 8 hours. This product does not! Everything perfectly kept in place. Love it!

Laura Mercier's eye canvas goes on very smooth. Instead of digging your finger into a pot you just slide your finger lightly over the product and on to your lid and that is that. It dries guickly so you can start putting on your shadow immediately without having to wait for it to set like some other products do.
