Just bought this yesterday, and I AM IN LOVE! Was skeptical at first because I was afraid it would be too orange or streaky, but it gave an all over nice and even tan. The colour looked very natural and my very unobservant boyfriend even said "WOW you got some sun today!". I wish I could use it everyday but it did take about half hour to evenly apply to my whole body. Definetly use the mitt as well, gives the best coverage.

Quick Take: gradual, quick drying, realistic looking
As this product implies, it is a great choice for short term tanning needs, like a wedding, or a date, maybe a weekend at the beach. It does not have a typical lotion consistency, and comes out of the tube very runny like a tanning liquid, so a different container from the manufacturer would be nicer to prevent messes. It also absorbs into skin very quickly (especially right out of the shower when pores are open) so you have to rub it in fast! Don't try to apply a golf ball size dollop all at once (my first attempt). If you want to also use a lotion, you can apply that after using the St. Tropez, but if you apply lotion before, you end up with those weird globs of product that won't absorb into your skin, and you have to wipe off all day (my second attempt). One final drawback to the product is that unless you have a significant other, roommate, or sibling who can apply it to those hard to reach areas like your back or between your shoulders, you either have to skip that area or you wind up with funny streaks from trying to do it yourself. I did anyway. But, this lotion has many pros too. It has little or no smell. It provides the most realistic tan I have ever enjoyed from a bottle. It does not turn you a strange shade of orange or make you smell like rotting root vegetables, and that is a huge advancement in tanning!

Quick Take: gradual, easy to apply
Got a sample of this in my Sun Safety kit and I decided to give it a try for a wedding I was going to, since it's early in the season and I don't have much color on my legs yet. Per reading some reviews, I bought the St. Tropez Tanning Applicator Mitt and it made a HUGE difference in the application in comparison to other experiences I've had applying self-tanning products. The color was subtle, which is good for a fair-complexioned person like myself. Not too shimmery, which I was glad about. I'd probably purchase it again, as I think it looks a lot more natural than the Sally Hansen Airbrush Leg Makeup I've used before.

This was in the Sun Safety Favorites kit otherwise I would never have purchased. When I use a sunless tanner I want it to last a few days. Something that washes right off like this is completely impractical to me. I only found this useful for spaces that I can see haven't tanned by the sun evenly (and won't accidentally get washed or rubbed off). It's a nice color and I like the other St Tropez fake tanner I used so I'm sure if what you want is a wash off tan, it would be great.

Quick Take: shimmery, natural looking, easy to apply
I have never used a self tanner, but wanted to get a quick tan for an upcoming wedding. At the store, multiple sales associates told me that this product would be dark and last 3-4 days. I got home, showered and exfoliated well and applied the lotion, which smells good and is easy to apply. The tan was not as dark as I expected, but it did come off of my hands easily. The color is natural, not orangey, but if you have any nicks from shaving, those areas do get darker. The next day I noticed that the tan was still visible, but was splotchy in some areas. I have not washed it off yet, but seeing as it has already come off without washing, I don't think this product will last the 3-4 days as I was told. Overall, it is a good product for someone new to tanning lotion.

As an avid "faux glow-er" I would almost compare this one right next to Lorac Tantilizer. A lot of people are complaining because it doesn't "blend well". Remember there is a process when it comes to self tanners. I usually, dry brush right before I shower to exfoliate any dry flakey skin. Then shower and shave. Make sure you completely dry off before applying any product. You NEED to purchase a tanning mitt to apply for best results. Otherwise you end up trying to blend and just get frustrated. The mitt works great! Invest in one. After you apply all over in a circular motion let it dry a few minutes then apply body lotion so it absorbs and blends nicely. Also, I'm only giving 4 stars because it's a lot of work for one day, and also the shimmer does tend to make it appear "dirty" and it does rub off on clothes. Don't wear light colors!

I use the St. Tropez tanning "mousse" religiously and received a trail size of this lotion one day. I loved it so much, that I went and bought the big tube (great price). Only downfall is that is isn't a gradual tanning lotion that stays but excellent for use before a night out. Got so many compliments on my bronze glow.

I am fair with blonde hair and blue eyes. I stay out of the sun and am very pale, but this makes me look so tan! I use gloves and it does take some effort to blend it in. Once I'm done, I take a dry towel and pat all over and it takes any dark patches right off and any extra residue. This doesn't transfer on my clothes, even when sweating and it is tan, not like sunless tanners. AND it doesn't SMELL. It does take a bit of effort to take off with soap and a wash cloth. I love it

Quick Take: a no brainer
This stuff works! I mix it with my favorite lotion ( Johnsons Baby Lotion) and rub it all over! I like to wear latex gloves just for easy clean up. The bronzer gives a nice glow and does NOT have the tell-tell smell of a tanner.

Got this using reward points. Glad I did not pay for it. It was very hard to blend. Had I been able to make it look even and not splotchy/streaky the color would have been nice. This is more brown and not as orangish red and shimmery as other instant color products. I love their self tan bronzing mousse so I wanted to try one night only tanning. It did not work for me.

This product is a brown lotion w a sheen that is a really nice color. Goes on nicely and love the color. Stays on and doesn't seem to rub off on clothes as far as I can tell.

I got this as a 250 point reward. At first I didn't think I was going to like it. It looks very dark in the tube. It's a gel. I used this before going out to ac. I used a tan towel, then jergins gradual self tanner ( to blend any streaks), then I used this. At first it doesn't seem to have any color but it depends on how much you use. I have VERY PALE skin and this technique w perfect for me! It look like I had an awesome tan and it was not at all orange. I will be purchasing a full size tube. This is perfect for a special occasion before you can actually get a tan.

This is the best wash off bronzes I have tried! I am very fair and must bronzes don't work well for me. I was able to give myself a subtle glow with this product. You do have to blend it well and it works best on skin that hasn't been recently showered.

I bought this to use for an event becuase i was wearing a dress with a really high slit. I didnt want to go tanning or to possibly use something that could turn me orange. I liked the idea that i didnt have to commit to the fake tan and it could rinse off but wouldn't come off on my clothes. It worked great and i was able to give my super pale skin a little color without looking like i lived at a tanning salon. I recommend this

I first got this as a sample bottle, I had my winter formal last night and since I've been tanning all week I decided to give this a try for a little more oomph and it was fantastic! Literally adds natural sun goddess effect to my tan!! It also dries so fast! its amazing i just knew I had to get the big bottle of it. Luckily I was going to sephora to get my make up done so it was the best of both worlds

Wow! This product is the best self tan I have ever used. As a fair skinned woman trying to get a sun kissed glow, this worked incredibly! It made me sooooo much darker with just one application. I do apply this overtop of my gradual tanner. Did not streak, smear or stain... So natural! Happy customer. Would never buy anything else now :)
