Quick Take: soft shimmer
I was hesitant about this product before trying it. I'm not really into a shimmery look especially on my face. This powder exceeded my expectations. It gave a slight glow on my cheek bones. It was subtle and made me look like I was glowing from within. I really liked this product.

I had been searching for the perfect illuminating product forever prior to finding this and was using Guerlain Météorites which I liked a lot but this is much better. I find my skin looks and feels moisturizered, the powder does not settle into my fine lines, I only need to use this to set my foundation, I can apply it directly under my eyes to disguise my under eye dark circles after applying concealer, and it seems to work well with different skin tones (I can use it with or without my sunless tanner and it looks great and my friends of different tones have tried and loved it as well).
I am big on products that deliver what I consider a 'healthy glow' (as opposed to sparkly - which this is NOT) so this product is not for those who prefer a matte finish to their look. It is a soft shimmer if you apply lightly but you can sweep your brush over the product a bit more heavily to deliver a deeper sheen which is what I like.

Other than knowing that this is so good for my skin my make up looks flawless! My forehead, nose.. cheeks! I love this. I was using the bare minerals illuminizer.. hmmm it's okay but I wanted to find something even better! and I did!!! Good stuff

Quick Take: bright glitter
I love Josie Maran, and I love shimmer. However, when I put this on it looked like I dumped a bunch of glitter all over my face. If you're going to use it, don't use it all over your face, but just as a highlighter in small areas.

This product might be pretty but I wouldn't know because I wasn't going to keep this and waste $30 on something that every time I put my brush in to, half the product crumbled away. Terrrrrrrrible texture people. Stay away.

I have medium skin with yellow undertones (asian complexion) and this product makes me look radiant! There is no hint of bronze for my skintone, just shimmer. I was pleasantly surprised because I find that powder illuminators are too subtle for my taste (so FYI: if you're looking for subtle, this would not be a product for you.)
For those who have tried Josie's liquid illuminator (which is extremely concentrated and shimmery), I'd say this product gives you similar results in powder form.
I'd also like to mention that this powder is pretty soft. When trying it for the first time, I was apparently used a heavy hand and kicked up quite a bit of powder.

I normally rave about Josie Maran products, but this highlighter is nothing special. It barely shows up on my medium skin tone. It may work better on very fair skin.
However, it blends easily and is finely milled.
I purchased this item in a kit for a good value, and I'm glad I didn't buy it separately. If you like an extremely sheer, subtle highlighter with a slight sheen, you will like this. Otherwise, it's a no-go.

This is NOT an illuminator. This is a hybrid between a bronzer and a shimmery illuminating powder. On my NC10-15 skin, this barely showed up and it left a light bronzy sheen. If you're looking for a bronzer, get a bronzer, not this. If you're looking for a real illuminator, go for Bobbi Brown or Nars highlighters. I will be returning this product.

I use this product as a part of my every day makeup routine. I've tried a lot of different illuminzer's from powders to liquids and this is the very best. It's like a cup of coffee for your face. The color is perfect, not too glittery and not too pink. I often get comments on how fresh and rested I look thanks to its brightening effect. The only thing I would change is that it's very loosely packed in the compact. Other than that, it's perfect. I'll be buying again and again.

I was hesitant to try the Illuminizer Powder as I have issues with oily T-zone and feared the powder might clog my pores. I also did not want to look oily as opposed to bright and dewy! Have been using it now for two weeks, and I love it!!!! No breakouts, no oiliness, and not overly sparkly. This powder gives my face a fresh, bright look and makes my skin look youthful and healthy. Highly recommend it!!!!

I think I'm a little too fair for this. Its a good productbut the color is not ideal for super fair skin. I bought this because of the super high ratings but I have better luminizers in my collection. A good product but not great

I am very picky when it comes to illuminizers. I have bought many illuminizers and am never happy with the color, or the texture, or the finish. I decided to try this one expecting not to like it. But, it is gorgeous! It's the perfect shade, it's a mix of champagne and pink and it literally looks like crushed pearls. It glides on, doesn't cake up and looks so beautiful and natural. I've had people comment on my skin and all I've done differently is add this to my upper cheek bones, down the center of my nose (to slim it) and put a little bit on the cupid's bow of my lip. It makes my skin look so fresh and radiant...I just love it! I highly recommend this illuminzer!

Some illuminating powders are too glittery but this one has just a hint. It goes on silky and smooth. I love the look and feel of it! I apply it with the Tokidoki Kabuki Brush, which is a super soft brush. Love all the Josie products so far!
