Like a lot
-04.18.13
I bought this in Cashmere and Dune. I have fair/light skin and the Cashmere really birghtens my eye area. I use the Dune (more of a nude color) when I'm going to wear eyeshadow - it creates an nice even base. It has a lightweight feel. I use this even on weekends when I don't wear a lot of eye makeup because it evens out the skin tone on my eyelids and brightens my eye area. Just be careful if you use a rich eye cream, it will tend to crease a bit. I do like it a lot and would definitely buy it again. The only slightly negative thing I can say is that the actual pen does not work well. Sometimes you have to twist the tube many many times for the product to come out, then you end up with a big blob of it. Other than that, its a nice product.

great product

Quick Take: color correcting, creamy, crease resistant
Love this eyeshadow base. It brightens up the entire eye. Stays put. I have eyelids that tend to get oily and this product does not slide. I use it alone sometimes if i am in hurry. This is a keeper in my makeup bag. You will order again and again. I am on the fair side with yellow skin tones and the cashmere worked perfect.

Beautiful subtle shade
-02.23.13
I purchased the color "Tan" to use as a daily subtle tint for my lids. I have medium-tan skin and it provides just a hint of color and sheen to my eyelids for a subtle daytime look. It also works well as a primer/base and even the tan color does not shift the colors I apply over it.

Favorite Eye Primer!
-01.04.13
Quick Take: color correcting, creamy, crease resistant
This is my favorite eye primer! I currently use the primer in Dune but would also like to purchase the lighter color. I find this really evens out the lid and covers any imperfections better than other primers. My eye makeup stays perfect through my work days. Highly recommend!

Eye Power
-12.01.12
Quick Take: creamy, crease resistant, subtle and elegant finish
I love this primer in the shade Tan. I use this color as a neutral eye shadow. It adds a subtle tawny luminosity that covers veins and evens out the skin tone. Most days, I don't use shadow over it but I like knowing that I have a good base to build on if I choose to add it later in the day. While the formulation and color is divine, the delivery system is uneven. I have to click, then set it aside for the product to start flowing. Sometimes 3 clicks is enough to get it going, other days, 5, 7 10, kind of like the lottery. At this price and marketed as luxury-end line, it needs to be reliably consistent. OK, it's annoying but I'm willing to put up with it because the forumlation/color is a standout, unique in the crowded field. Nothing else can replace it.

eyeshadow still creased
-07.25.12
I tried this during hot, humid weather conditions and it did not hold up. My eyeshadow creased quickly. It may work for those in less humid conditions. For me, I keep going back to Laura Mercier's eye basics. I bought the lighest shade and wished I had gone with the medium, as it was quite light.

Just OK
-07.18.12
I was very excited to get this product as I was looking at all of the eyeshadow primers and finally decided on this one - it's just ok, my makeup doesn't stay put after say 4 or 5 hours. I'm taking it back and getting another brand. going to sepora this weekend to try them out.

cashmere
-06.29.12
Quick Take: color correcting, creamy, crease resistant
I am around an NW20, and I previously loved to use Mac's paint pot in painterly as a primer for eye looks or to color correct when I'm not even using eye shadows, as is normal for me in the summer months. That said, I didn't need this product, but I purchased it in cashmere after reading a review on thebeautylookbook. I am in love with this! It is very creamy and the pen form is convenient and quick to use in the morning before I head to work. I haven't had any problems with the pen clogging with product. Someone seeing me on the street would have no idea that I put this on my eyelids, but to me it makes a big difference. It makes my skin look even and brightens the eye area. I haven't had problems with fading or creasing the few times I have worn eyeshadow over the top. I really think this is a standout product. I actually prefer the ease of use of this over painterly paint pot.

I'm in love ...
-05.10.12
Quick Take: color correcting, creamy, crease resistant
I'm new to Edward Bess cosmetics, first trying his eyeshadows, which are beyond amazing and then I decided to try the eyeshadow base. All I can say is that this stuff is like nothing else. It goes on smoothly, no streaking, easy to blend and keeps your eyeshadow and/or liner on forever. I ordered the medium shade which has become one of the staples in my makeup routine and I'm now going to order the deep color just for fun. I have tried every shadow primer out there and this is beyond good.
