The oil-free, streak-free formula is easy to apply for even, mistake-proof coverage. Skip the sun, and go for the glow. What it is formulated WITHOUT:- Parabens- Sulfates - Synthetic Dyes- Petrochemicals- Phthalates - Triclosan What else you need to know: Philosophy says, "Tan is the color of the sun's love. Terrible
-05.09.13
Quick Take: streaky, artificial, unpleasantly scented
I'm not usually moved to write negative reviews of products, but I'm making an exception for Philosophy's "Here Comes the Sun." There's really nothing redeeming about this product. Not only does it smell terrible, it gives skin the most orange-y, artificial-looking color I've ever seen from a self-tanner. The only positive thing I can say about Here Comes the Sun is that it has a nice, creamy texture. I'm a fan of a lot of Philosophy products, but they misfired with this one, in a major way.

pickles?
-12.21.12
Just purchased this item today after reading fairly good reviews. I'm a lover of Philosophy, so i'll try most anything they make.
I could only comment on the scent and the texture right now. Yes, it does not smell pleasant. Though it may seem crazy, I think it smells like .. faint pickle juice and church incense.
The texture of the lotion is very creamy and nice. It appears to soak into the skin well.
I used to be a tanning addict, so I'm hoping my results are better than the scent. :)

Like it!
-12.14.12
Quick Take: gradual, effective
Having only ever tried tanning self-products through Sephora spray tan, I bought this with the hope of finding a cure to the dark winter blues! I exfoliated before use (as recommended) and I also moisturized (I figured this would minimize streaks). I noticed a slight difference to my very pale skin by day 2. I repeated the same steps on day 2 and noticed a definite change in colour by day 3. Day 3 I just used a little to even out spots that I had missed. Because it worked so gradually, it made the application fool-proof. I remembered to wash my hands off from the product on day 1 & 2, but forgot on day 3; currently trying to hide my palms in public! All in all, I think it is a little expensive for what it is but I am pretty sure I will buy it again. I do agree that the smell is not pleasant, but I got over it easily. I have yet to see how long-lasting the product is.

Great color
-09.04.12
Quick Take: long lasting, moisturizing
This cream is easy to apply and delivers deep color. And, it gives a lot of moisture. The color lasts a few days, which is longer than most. One drawback, it has a weird odor. But, I alternate it with another tanner to make it less bothersome.
All in all.....a good product. I will continue to purchase.

I'm sold!
-08.31.12
Quick Take: hits all bases!, great!
I wanted to try a more natural self-tanner (I use it year round) & this one is & also has the bonus of amino acids! I have not noticed a smell & the color is very nice & more on the subtle side of a tanner...with me being fair skinned, this is right down my alley.

Quick Take: long lasting, glow
The first time I used this the front of my legs were tan and the back white (probably because i rubbed the majority on the front) but the next day i applied the tanner where the the white streaks were and it evened out. I am so happy with this product! I

perfect for me
-08.07.12
I received a nice sample of this Self-Tanner - enough to do my legs from the knees down - I had purchased walking shorts and they looked awful with my very pale legs. I tried the product on one leg to compare with the un-treated one, Within hours I had started to "tan", 24 hours later, my leg had a healthy tan - exactly like the sun-acquired tan from my younger days. I applied the tanner to the other leg - I'm delighted with the result and am ordering more. I do use a lot of Pure grace body lotion and a depilatory (no razor) - so those two "habits" might have helped with my results - a beautiful healthy tan. I'

Didn't work for me
-06.07.12
I'm a huge philosophy fan and was excited to try this self tanner. I never have much luck with self tanners showing color on my fair skin, but thought a philosophy one would work. Unfortunately not - it showed no color even 24 hours later.

Love, love, love

Quick Take: gradual, long lasting
I have tried so many self-tanners and am always interested in trying another, so when the Sephora representative suggested this one I immediately bought it. I had a very different experience than some other reviewers, although I think this is probably the way it always is with different products -- they work differently on different skin tones and types. For me, this product has been awesome. The saleswoman suggested that I put on moisturizer before using the product so I have done so each time I apply it. My skin is pale but tans very well in the sun, although I try to avoid getting tan regularly because I don't want any sun damage. In any case, on my skin the tan is a wonderfully natural color. I have not had any streaking. The color is not too deep, but it lasts for a few days and is very natural. It does not make me as dark as some of the other brands do but I prefer this -- I just want enough color that my skin isn't pale. I think that this product delivers a perfect amount of tan to wear a skirt or dress without looking too white. I am very pleased with the product and will certainly buy it regularly. This is my new favorite for self-tanners. I suggest giving it a try, I am glad that I did!

streaky orangeness
-05.25.12
Quick Take: orange, utterly disappointing
I thought I would try this product because I have used self tanners for years and always like trying new ones--plus it had pretty solid reviews. It was hands down one of the worst products I have ever tried. Almost no product ever turns orange on me, as I have medium yellow toned skin to begin with--but this one looked so unnatural in color and sreaky I was really embarrassed....Do yourself a favor and opt for a spending the extra few bucks for St. Tropez or even stick with the Sephora spray line or lotion---MUCH better!!!

Good but not for me
-05.14.12
I am fair and it was way to dark for me. Also I was not very good at my application so I looked bruised. I think it would be good for someone not so fair wanting to add some more color. I did an exchange for a different product.

Not my fave
-04.26.12
Went on smoothly, but as it faded...it faded streaky. Also, it has the same odor as all the rest of the self-tanners (at least for the first 36-48 hours...) Unfortunately, I am returning this product.

Great color, no smell
-04.24.12
Quick Take: gradual
This product has a really nice color and really no smell at all which I love! But, it is not enough product for the money! It only lasted me about 2 weeks!! That is pretty sad. I want to continue with it but it would be much too expensive! Hoping they will come out with a value size or maybe a gradual tan lotion for everyday.

Delivers Quick Color
-03.15.12
Quick Take: clear, odorless, natural-looking
The product goes on clear, and develops into a noticeable amount of color within 8 hours or so of the first application. It is a nice, natural tan color (not orange). I did notice some streaking on the first application, but was able to get it pretty much evened out by the second day. I recommend exfoliating with the Philosophy Microdelivery Body Wash and applying a moisturizing lotion beforehand, to help achieve an even application. My only qualm would be that the tube is pretty small, though the product did give more color in a shorter time than I expected. (I got to my desired color in 2 applications.) I also use the face version, which I absolutely love! It didn't streak at all, and you can get more applications out of the bottle. The face tanner does seem to be slightly more gradual/less dramatic, but it is absolutely worth it!

Quick Take: long lasting, reasonably priced
I've only tried it on my hand to test it and it's amazing. It left a really even natural tan that I haven't been able to wash off for almost a week now. And if it doesn't wash off your hands which I wash everyday, then you know it's long lasting! Can't wait to use it all over!
