I tried Nars' s orgasm luminiferous and I was not impressed. This however gave me the perfect glow and sooo many compliments. However it's very hard to use with mineral powder makeup. One reason I'm switching to liquid

Quick Take: soft shimmer
Light coverage, sheer ish shimmer. I use it on my cheek bones and tiny bit on my neck and it's perfect. I am fair skinned, blue eyes, brown hair and I got the pinkish tone - perfect!!

Couldnt get it to work with my olive skin

Quick Take: very shimmery
This is a beautiful highlighter, i really tried to love this, however it is too shimmery and doesn't work for olive skin. (I am makeup forever shade #153)
i used the bronze shimmer under my eyes and it was too dark, the kitten shimmer was too light for my skin. i didnt even try the pink because i dont have a pink undertone so it wouldn't work either.
I wish there was a yellow based color, to accommodation those of us with olive/golden skin in order to HIGHLIGHT our complexion. not just ADD shimmer. (which is just what this does)..
I suggest the "kitten shimmer" to anyone with very light/fair skin, to mix it in with concealer or foundation.

Great gold tone

Quick Take: gold and beautiful, blend-able, great highligher
This color goes great with a good bronzer for a fresh, glowing, summery look :-). I have fair skin with pink undertones so I prefer the gold to the silver or rose pinky gold colors. The gold evens out my skin tone. Only negative if you are looking for a powdery finish this isn't the one for you.

Rose Gold

I purchased Rose Gold because I was hoping to get a slight flush of color in addition to the "luminizing". Unfortunately, on my olive skin, this doesn't show up with any pigment, and it can actually make my face look pale (an effect similar to that of lavender primers). I have yellow/gold undertones in my skin and the shimmer "melts" in with them as well, so in order to have any effect from this product its best on bare skin. I like it on my décolleté and shoulders way better than on my face because this liquid has no effect when used with my foundation.

i have UD Naked foundation in 6.0. I have the rose gold shimmer luminizer. this looks very natural. it almost blends into my skin color. it does show up, but not in an obvious way. great for those looking for a natural highlighter. could also blend it into your foundation for a nice all around glow.

Really like this. Have Pink Shimmer and Kitten. Gives a subtle glow to the face. A little goes a long way. Have to really rub to blend into skin so that's why I only gave 4 stars. Might just be my skin which is now a little dry due to winter.

I bought the Rose Gold, and my skin is light to medium olive. I like the subtle shimmer this gives, The glitter is not too much - it gives a hint of sparkle. I use it during the day. The rose gold color is perfect for my skin tone - I'm pretty sure the other shades would just blend in / be invisible on my skin. The rose has the effect of a blush but not too much, and the nail polish-style applicator brush is perfect so you can control the amount you apply. Layering intensifies both the color and shimmer, so for evenings, you can increase the amount for a more dramatic look.

What I love about this is, that it does its job for a reasonable price. I love the whole glowy look, and this is perfect for it. The formula is also very light. I don't really like the nail polish type brush but its not that big of a bother! I am very happy with this purchase.

i use this highlighter to give my skin a bit of life. it's a much smaller bottle than Becca shimmering skin perfector, but also much cheaper. the only thing i don't like is the odd, nail-polish-ish bottle top, why would you put such a useless brush in there to get all gobby and weird?

A Must Have Product!

Quick Take: sheer coverage, light diffusing, not heavy or greasy, great value for the price
I have been a loyal user of Benefit High Beam and Moon Beam for 6 years. This time when I ran out I decided to give Stila's version a try. I was more than pleased with the results. The consistency of the product is much thinner than Benefit, but that doesn't effect the performance. Holds up great and my skin doesn't feel greasy like it sometimes would with Benefit. Since its summer I picked up the bronze, but of course after having the great results I picked up kitten as well. I like to use kitten for evenings out and will use the winter months for a more subtle glow. Also the $12 difference isn't bad either. Sorry Benefit I have to make the switch.

This reminds me a lot of the orgasm liquid highlighter that I have by Nars. It's pretty good. If I wanted to change anything, I would like it to maybe have a little more color to it, and stay a little longer. Overall, I'd definitely recommend it to a friend.

I purchased on this on a whim simply because I like the shimmer of the bronze. I'm glad I did because it worked really well on my skin. Unfortunately, I broke the top of the jar when I opened it and will be bringing it back to the store to exchange it--looking to purchase the rose gold color next!

When i purchased this item i expected alot and it didn't meet up to my expectations. The color doesn't show well. My skin doesn't look tinted at all. I would not purchase this again.
