Amika Cynthia Rowley Ceramic Styler

Not what I expected

Among such rave reviews I hate being the one person who doesn't think this flat iron is all that great but, oh well.
Reason for purchase: I got this to replace my Ozon that fell for the 50th or so time and finally broke. So, being a big fan of Sephora I decided to buy this flat iron because of it's reviews and because I loved the Cynthia Rowley Design.
What I think so far: Well, it pulls on my hair and for my first couple uses I found that their was a weird smell (no - there is no plastic on the plates and no - I didn't burn my hair) . The smell is starting to go away now but it was definitely a huge turn off.
I also have thick, color treated hair and even on the highest setting I don't get the results that I had with previous irons, so I go over a single section a couple of times (added 10 mins to my iron time)
Reason I'm keeping: I'm to lazy to return and I really think it's just a gorgeous looking iron.

AMAZING!

This flat iron is hands down the best i've ever used!! I forgot how amazing a 100% ceramic flat iron really is. I had previously owned a Hana Elite which is also 100% ceramic and being double the price of this product its still not comparable. Between those two I owned a Solia which is a ceramic coated plate not 100%. My hair was so beyond damaged after a year of using that flat iron and then it broke after just one year. It doesn't always pay to be cheap and i've learned that the hard way. I decided to go for the 100% ceramic plate once again and i'm so glad I did!! After just two uses of this flat iron it already looks so silky and smooth and feels so much healthier. What a difference this flat iron makes and over the last 12 years I have used A LOT of different flat irons but none compare to the Amika!!

Quick Take: one of the best flat irons i've ever used.
My hair is relaxed and I've always had a problem keeping the roots smooth and the frizz down. I kept changing my hair products thinking that I would eventually get it right. Then, I decided to change my flat iron. I don't think I can ever do my hair without it. No matter what product I use, my hair turns out smooth and shiny. I love this product!

Quick Take: everything it promises to be!, multi-tasking
I love this! It heats up quickly, doesn't leave you with that burnt hair smell, and the design is sooo cute! I'm not sure about the longterm effects of whether it is healthier for my hair than other straighteners I have used before, but I have a good feeling about it.

Quick Take: fantastic, fabulous, beautiful!
This is the best straightener I have ever used! The design is very nice to look at, but whatever is inside the tool is what makes it so wonderful. It straightens my hair with little to no effort, and the fact that the light stays red until it is as hot as you want is really helpful. I like how light it as, and it was worth every penny!

This is hands down the most amazing flat iron EVER. I have funky mixed-girl hair that's coarse in some places, wavy in others, and randomly straight elsewhere. In other words, my hair has been a mess for I don't know how long. I buy a range of high end products to make my hair look decent but I still have not been able to achieve the sleek, bouncy, healthy look I have always desired...until now. With one use of this flat iron, suddenly my hair flows and shines like I'm in a Garnier commercial. My split ends have nearly vanished...my hair looks better than it ever has, period. In combination with a hair mask from Phyto and some Moroccan Oil, I have the longest, healthiest hair of my life...but it wouldnt look like this if it werent for this miracle flat iron. Oh and it also looks like an amazing piece of art on your counter top, brilliant design job by Cynthia Rowley!!!

Quick Take: time saving, heats quickly
I was loyal to my flat iron for almost 6 years, until recently when out of the blue it stopped working, the exact same day I needed to flat iron my hair for graduation. I went running to Sephora an saw this beautiful Amika styler, I completely fell in love with the design. I had never heard of this brand, but I really needed to buy one. WOW, aside from the beautiful design, the iron is amazing!!! My hair feels so soft and shiny after flatironing, the heat controler is great, I use the max temperature, and for touch ups I can just turn down the heat. The iron heats very quickly, the outside doesnt get hot so I dont feel any heat on my hands when ironing my hair. This is a great and amazing product, and the design is just lovely.

I love this styler because I can get so many different looks. I have straight hair so I like to curl my hair with it or create volume and this styler is great for both. It leaves my hair soft and bouncy. Having fine hair I also love that I can control the temperature.

What can I say....this styler is so cue! I love teh look of it and it gets my hair super straight. I also like that the temperature goes up to 450 degrees which is really helpful for natural hair. the cord is super long which allows me to move around my bathroom while I'm doing my hair!
This is my favorite styler and all my friends want one because it's easy to use and super fashionable!
