Gucci Flora By Gucci - Gorgeous Gardenia
Gorgeous Gardenia is a paean to the lightness of the shrub’s first blossom and the addictive richness of it in full bloom the result is gorgeously feminine. Quick Take: long-lasting, lovely
As a premise, I love gardenia in my perfumes (think Sexy Little Things Noir Tease by VS). After browsing the fragrance wall at my local Sephora in search of a new one to try, I spritzed this one on, once on my neck and once on my wrist. My first reaction was "maybe that was a mistake"... at first, Flora Gardenia smelled a little... musty. Not musky, musty. Like a huge, heavy, dusty blanket had been thrown over the gardenias. It was not by any means offensive, just not as open or complex smelling as I would have preferred. But, lo and behold, give the perfume 30 minutes on the skin, and it develops rather beautifully. The gardenia isn't as cloying and obvious and the "musty blanket" (sorry for the obscure image) gets lifted. Flora Gardenia is still a, ahem, floral fragrance, and there isn't a whole ton going on with it. But I think that's part of the beauty. It is simple, feminine, and not in-your-face. Just be a bit patient :) Also, the perfume lasted on my skin for a good six hours - AND through a shower!! That was rather surprising to me!

Quick Take: good value
I love this scent so much! Ever since I first found it last Spring, I have wanted to buy it and finally decided to go for it. Perfume is so personal so it's hard to recommend a fragrance, but if you like floral scents that have a hint of a spicy note to them you'd probably like it.

Quick Take: travel-friendly, good value
Love, love, LOVE this fragrance! I got a sample while in Sephora a few weeks ago and have been a HUGE fan ever since. It's light and fresh (which I usually hate) but it has a sensual (almost dirty) base note which gives it a mature flavor that I LOVE! The only downside is the fragrance doesn't last as long as I'd like but hopefully they will introduce an EDP soon. If not, I will just spritz and respritz throughout the day--I'm HOOKED!!!!

Regular Flora EDP(Eau de Parfum): I got sampler vial from Sampler set of 10 vials; after much thought, chose to get Flora in exchange for my sampler redemption certificate (I liked many of the scents in the $50 Sampler-with-pink-refillable-purse-spray).
While in store to redeem certificate, I tried this and the other beautiful "Flora Garden" fragrances (Gardenia, Magnolia, Tuberose Eau de Toilette) and LOVED this best (even though I have always disliked how strong and sweet gardenias smell in plant form -- ironically, I generally love smell of Magnolia and Tuberose in plants, but these were less "intoxicating" and ...green/citrus that I like best). I look forward to trying this -- via sample vial, outside of store, just in case it is different from my initial experience AND after I get accustomed to Flora, can make better comparison as to which is better value (longer lasting) and flattering to my own chemistry. I wonder if others have had this experience, too?

I am sure this would smell wonderful on plenty of people, however I am not one of them! The Gardenia fragrance is nice when sprayed on, however it changes once reacting to my body into something entirely different. If you like gardenia in your fragrance, go for it! If not, stay clear!

Quick Take: travel-friendly, sweet
This smelled so great once it settled on my skin. Reminded me of "a date with dessert within a flower garden." Only drawback for me was that the scent just didn't seem to stick. for something that costed over $70 dollars, I expected it to last all day. But of course if I brought my wrists very close to my nose, I definitely still smelled it. To sum it all up, great scent, a bit pricey, LIGHT lingering scent.

My only complaint is that this fragrance doesn't last very long. I definitely have to reapply if I'm heading from work to anything afterward. The fragrance is sweet, floral and feminine in a really great way! I get compliments all the time.

Quick Take: good value, clean, sexy
When I first saw this perfume, I knew I liked gardenias, so I'd give it a sniff. I was pleasantly surprised that gardenia is not the top note! It has a musky and clean scent. Reminds me of sweet tobacco with a hint of vanilla. I think it lasts well, and doesn't change on my skin. I don't smell it all day long, the same strength, that would give me a headache. I do get whiffs of it throughout the day. Our noses become desensitized to the scent after a few minutes anyways, so you're really not supposed to smell yourself all day long. The point of a fragrance is to enhance your personal scent, not overpower others' noses! Remember, if you can smell it strong, all day long, you're probably making others ill!

This fragrance smells GREAT!!!! When I tried it on in the store I hated it. I left the store and a few minutes later (I guess my nose cleared up) the actual smell sank in. I went right back and purchased it because it smelled GREAT!!!

I was skeptical at first and hesitant because it doesn't last more than a few hours. But the scent kept drawing me back. I wanted to find a parfum but haven't found anything close to this amazing scent. I love this.

SUPER fan of this fragrance and the regular Flora. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars because this fragrance isn't long lasting (maybe 3 hours tops). The original Flora lasts much longer (maybe because its an Eau du Parfum).

I LOVE this fragrance! I'm a Paco Rabanne fan, but I received this as a gift a motnh ago and I LOVE IT!! It smells so good, not overpowering, and lasts! I've been using it every day and my bottle is still almost full!! Amazing! Will definitely be getting more!

Quick Take: aahhhhmazing.
this perfume is my every day scent. It goes on a little strong at first but, once it dries...it smells so nice and clean. The only downfall is that the scent does not last long. I purchased the body lotion in order for the scent to last longer. For the price...it should last long enough or at least enough so, that you won't need the scented body lotion.

Just tried this a few weeks ago and I am hooked! I agree with others that at first it goes on strong then fades quickly. But, I prefer lighter fragrances so this is ok with me. It is a little pricey so hopefully they will come out with a rollerball soon.

I actually like this fragrance. It's Viva La Juice meets Christian Audigier. It smells more "mature" than Viva La Juice (a bit less sweet and just a little stronger) Also, it stays on longer than Audigier's. After trying all three Flora By Gucci fragrances, I could not make up my mind; I like them all! The reason why I gave it four stars, is because of it's similarity the the other fragrances I mentioned and the price.
