Amazing for long hair.

Quick Take: long lasting curls, good for heavy but fine hair, creates beautiful curls, good for volume
My hair is almost to my elbows, very fine, but I have a lot of hair. When its shorter, its very curly, but right now its weighed down so much that it is a sad wavy near the roots/flat for the length.
These rollers are AWESOME. I wrap my hair by spraying it first with a bit of hairspray, and then wrap it up from the bottom of the curler to the top. I then sort of twist it so that it lies horizontally on my head. Some of them are vertical, but usually the ones on the top are horizontal.
These curls stay the entire day for me. With other hot rollers, my curls are long gone by lunch (and I don't live in a humid area).
These curlers are GREAT! They seem expensive but they're worth every penny.

Quick Take: easy, gives great body and wave
I've had these rollers for a while now. They are super easy to use and heat up very quickly! You don't roll your hair with these like you do with regular hot rollers. You need to wrap the hair going forward instead of backward. Also, start rolling from the roots and then wrap the ends around, instead of wrapping from the ends to the roots, otherwise your hair will be crazy curly. If you want loose beachy curls, be sure to not wrap super tightly, and do not leave them in very long. The curl sets very fast! My hair is long, mid-back, very thick but fine-textured, and I use 6 rollers usually. I start in the front and end in the back, and by the time I've wrapped the last one, I wait maybe 30 seconds and start taking out the rollers in the front. Let the hair sit for a minute, and then run your fingers through. You can finish by touching up any areas with a curling iron. These curlers really are fast and easy enough to use every day, even when in a hurry. You get great body and waves, even on hair that does not hold curl well - with these the waves stay all day.

I have very straight, fine, long hair and I had never used rollers before. So, with the advice and help of a friend, I tried these out. I don't have anything to compare them to, but I really liked the results. It made my hair wavy and more voluminous. They heat up very quickly, and the set of 12 curlers with a heating rack for 6 is plenty. I just place cold curlers on the heating rack after I start using the ones that have heated. And they heat quickly. I would like more curler clips to hold them in place, since it works best for me with 2 per curler. Overall, I'm satisfied with my purchase- it gives me wavy, healthy, gorgeous looking hair, and definitely beats my normal, everyday look of just air-dried straight hair!

curls fell flat in 5 minutes

Quick Take: great idea
Loved the curls for the 5 minutes that I had them. To be fair, my hair does not hold a curl very easily, but this set was the worst. I stole an old Vidal Sasoon non-flocked rollers from my Mom years ago and those curls hold all day. Great idea with the long non-flocked rollers, but sadly doesn't stay.

Best rollers I've ever used

I've been using electric rollers since the late 1960's. I have thick hair and these are the first ones that have ever stayed in my hair without giving me a headache as they are long enough to grab it all onto the roller. They heat up wonderfully fast, also. My only wish is that they were a little larger as they make my hair a bit curlier than I would prefer.

Works great, but the clips don't

I have super long hair (I'm tall and it's more than halfway down my back). I got these rollers, and I am quite happy about them. However, the clips they come with are cr%#*py. They feel cheap (like you could easily break them if you tried), and only one comes with each roller yet even the product sheet that comes with this set says you should probably use 2 per roller.... well come on then! GIVE us 2 per roller! I used 1 per roller (needing all 12 rollers for my hair), and the rollers were practically falling out. For $100, you think they'd throw in a couple more cheap-o clips! Geez.

This is a nice tidy set which is super easy to use (and doesn't tangle when you remove the rollers). They heat up in about 5 min. or less and the clips are easy to use.
My hair was nice and curly when I first took them out. (I used Kenra Heat Protectant Spray prior), and the curl lasted for a few hours for me. My hair ALWAYS loses it's curl. I need to keep working with products and learn how to make it last longer; however, the next day I could still feel "body" in my hair and a bit more volume than usual. This set is WAAAY easier than fiddling with a curling iron and faster. Over all I'm very happy with my purchase (Santa's gift to me!).

Quick Take: good for long hair, easy to use
I've just started using these. My hair is layered, so it's a bit tricky to get all the pieces in a smooth roll. The other thing I'm grappling with is how long to keep them in. I'm aiming for lush, wide curls, not a mass of ringlets and I want to maintain some body throughout the day. Overall, I find that the curlers do provide good volume and are relatively easy to use. It does take practice, though. The curlers heat up fast, but not searing hot so you don't have to worry about burning yourself. I often have to use between six and eight curlers. While I'm still getting the hang of it, I'd say this is a solid product.

For starters, my hair is thick, wavy, and down to my hips, so hot rollers have never worked for me except when my hair was around shoulder length because with regular rollers, they were too small and by the time my hair was rolled up there was not enough heat to penetrate through all my hair to give me curls and volume.
My boyfriend's mom gifted me with these and my goodness, what a great gift!!!! FINALLY! A hot roller that I can use with my hair! I've used these multiple times already and never had issues with frizz or not enough heat, in fact, I'm surprised at how hot these babies heat up to! I'm not careful or let my hand linger of a freshly heated roller for too long I definitely feel the warmth! The teeth on these grab really well! So I advise combing through hair first before using and sectioning so you're not grabbing or snagging onto knots while trying to run the roller down to the smoothest portion of the end.
The clips hold well, and the curlers heat up amazingly fast, I'm talking in less than 5 minutes, 6 are heated, and as I'm using them, I'm popping on a fresh roller so by the time I finish with the first six, there's another batch ready to go and be used.
These give my hair such body and shape! My hair looks touchable with such minimum effort and I'm so pleased and impressed with this product! Even my boyfriend was amazed at how fast these get my hair done and I've receive nothing but compliments when I have my hair done with these!

Quick Take: compact easy effective
Simple to use with a bit of practice. Two clips per roller help with layered hair. Everyone complimented my hair. It felt soft and healthy. I did not get the DVD either as other reviwers said, but it is not rocket science if you are a hot roller user. I checked their website for video instructions.

Quick Take: not worth the price
These didn't curl my hair! I can't explain why. I bought these because for travel, I have a traditional set I use almost daily so I have a pretty good idea of what I am doing but these curlers were a bust. I also did not receive instructions, warrantee card, dvd, or any information in the package.
I also didn't like that I could only heat 6 rollers at a time. It was sort of like playing with half a deck of cards.

I'm in love with these rollers. No special technique requires. I have long layer hair and use 6 rollers at one time. I'm not a pro at all and don't use any kind of rollers in the past. These things are so easy to use and they give pretty (loose) curls. LOVE IT!!!

I bought these for their convenient travel case, and fast heating. Both are great. But they remained hot only a very few moments after taking them from their base, not long enough to curl my hair. At $99, I expected more. They were returned.

I love the convenience of this light, portable set. I found the long rollers cumbersome when rolling into my hair, which took extra time in the morning. The rollers began to start sliding out from the clips while setting which was frustrating. These did curl my hair, but I found it created frizzy curls. Tried them 3 times and i am returning them. T3 makes a similar portable set in the shorter traditional rollers, but it only comes with 8 rollers.

These rollers are unique - they heat up quickly and add volume, but I agree wtih the other reviewers that the tight curl does not last all day long - that said, they add tremendous volume and the curl is set in less than 5 minutes. Once cautionary note is that these rollers get super hot - you need a heat glove to handle them if you are not careful! My rollers also were missing the DVD and instructions - but I logged onto the Calista site for info. Still - all in all a great buy. And super light weight so perfect for travel

Yes, they create beautiful curls, until I take out the other side and by then I no longer even have wave. The box came with no directions or the DVD that was supposed to come with it so I had to contact the company and they overnighted the DVD to me-they had great customer service. I have tried over and over to get the curl to stay including hairspray before, hairspray after and they don't frizz my hair at all but I also just have one little wave about a third of the way down my shoulder-blade length hair. The curlers do heat quickly and you should really leave them in the 10 minutes recommended rather than go by color on the roller. I just wish it worked.
