I was able to use the fibers one time. The tube was totally dried up when I received it. After application of the three steps, my upper and lower lashes spent the entire day sticking together. Would NOT recommend this product.

This product delivers when it comes to giving you a lash with an impact, but those nylon fibers will make you miserable for at least 15 minutes of your life. Be careful to only apply them to to tips of your lashes, and if you where contacts, wait until your mascara sets. That may sound like a recipe for raccoon eyes, but it will save you from madly trying to rip those bad guys out while the fibers do their business. Every star if this review is for how well the product delivers on giving you the look of falsies without the glue. It might make you appreciate falsies more, though.

Honestly the first time I used this mascara it was a disaster. I got fibers inside my eyes as well as getting my lashes adhering onto each other. It was a sticky mess because I applied to the top and bottom lashes. I thought about returning it, but after giving it a few more tries, I came to adore and love this mascara after getting used to it and learning how to use it properly to my advantage. The finish is absolutely stunning compared to other high end mascara I've used in the past. This mascara system requires patience to achieve a beautiful finish that is better than false lashes. I do notice longer lashes and more volume when wearing this. I have a feeling Too Faced won't be keeping this mascara around due to the low ratings and whatnot, but if it continues to stick around, I will continue to buy it.

This product can be great if you have the right touch and some patience. Just steer clear if you don't have any artistic talent. Sorry.
My main tip would be for your first coat to be a regular mascara. The primer/top coat provided basically just acts as a sticky layer and won't give you maximum drama. I start with a coat of Eyeko skinny brush mascara, then apply the primer and build off that. Amazing!
Lastly, keep a pair of needle nose tweezers on hand too. I always go through and pull off the stray/crooked fibers using a 10x mirror. Some of them will look wonky, but you can snatch them off easily this way and voila!
Time consuming? Sure. But I only do it on the weekends and it looks GREAT and is my real lashes!

Quick Take: amazing, good investment, works very well, great results, best mascara ever
The first time I tried this, I hated it. I thought, "What a rip off!" But then I kept practicing with it and kept getting better results each time, and now I love it! This really works. Please don't listen to the negative reviews. It takes a bit of practice to get the false lashes look, but once you get it, you will have thicker, fuller lashes each time!

Alright, so I have been a devout lash extension girl for over a year. But my lash girl took a new day position that makes my lash application sporadic. I decided to transition back to (the horror) regular lashes. I walked into sephora with the plan of a 2 prong attack: grow the lashes and use an incredible mascara to make them look fuller & darker than usual.
For the first part, I purchased Peter Roth Lashes to Die for (review is forthcoming). The second part, I bought Better Than False Lashes Nylon Extension System. So, the system is not complicated but there is a method to the madness. The mascara base serves as a primer for the nylon particles. The nylon lash fibers are then brushed on the primer. Two tricks to help: apply the nylon immediately after the mascara (one eye at a time helped me) and only 2 maximum coats of the nylon fibers. If the nylon is applied too long after the primer, they will not stick appropriately to lashes. Too many nylon fibers creates clumping or abstract shapes. Finally, application of the mascara top coat to seal the look and construct the elongated lash.
Definitely a worthwhile investment but takes a bit of practice to get the look.

I wasn't expecting miraculous things & it more or less exceeded my expectation. If applied carefully, this can create some serious drama & fullness. If applied quickly, it can just look like a clumpy mess. Definitely use with a lash comb handy. I really don't like the removal process--is twice as difficult as any other mascara i've used to remove, which makes me nervous of pulling lashes out. And on the other hand, i'm glad it's strong enough/waterproof enough that the nylon lash fibers don't decide mid-day they want to just fall off.
Pretty much--if you're looking for a miracle, you might be disappointed. If you're looking for a really cool mascara with a lot of potential, this might be for you.

Quick Take: amazing
I absolutely love this product. For years I gave up on wearing mascaras at all. I couldn't find anything that was non waterproof that would lengthen, voluminous and hold a curl own my straight asian sparse lashes. I have been wearing false lashes all that time. I finally tried this mascara after some hesitation since I thought 'why would this mascara even work?' And I am SO glad I tried it. It makes me look like I actually have long lush eyelashes. And it doesn't make my eyes itchy like waterproof mascaras do and they feel so much better too. I barely have to curl my lashes and this product seems to create a natural curve. I am so in love with it!

I bought this for my own Mother's Day gift and so disappointed! I can make my lashes look way fuller and longer with my loreal lash extension mascara. I will never buy this again and would not recommend to anyone!

Quick Take: disappointing, sticky, clumpy, hard to remove, flakey, does not volumize
I was so excited to try this product. It seemed like a cool concept, and I've been happy with Too Faced mascaras in the past. The first time I used it, I felt like it did give length to my lashes, but the volume aspect was pretty much nonexistent (I already having lashes that are on the longer side, and am generally looking for more volume than anything). I found this product to be very sticky, and it never really dried down. Throughout the day, if I accidentally touched my eyes, or if my sunglasses touched my lashes, they would clump up and stick together. Also if any gets on your lid while applying, forget about removing it with a qtip like most mascaras. It is so sticky that you can't remove it without makeup remover and ruining your eye makeup. By the end of the day, there was noticeable flaking. Additionally, it was difficult to remove. I use Clinique's Take The Day Off makeup remover followed by Sephora's Supreme Cleansing Oil, and then followed by Ren's ClearCalm face wash (not in the eye area, obviously). Despite using two oil-based products, I had to scrub my lashes to try to move this product, and could not get it all off. The next morning there were flakes and smudges under my eyes, and on my eye mask. I am totally disappointed by this product and it is going back as soon as I can make a trip to the mall.

I don't get the bad reviews. I have smaller Asian eyes w/ short lashes and my lashes are unrecognizable after using this. I sent my husband a picture of just my eyes so he could see my lashes and he said that he wouldn't have know it was my eyes if I hadn't said it.
It does take time to apply it. If helps if you go to the Too Faced Website and read their tips for application. I could not be happier though. It does exactly what it says it would.

Quick Take: thickening unique dramatic
I usually think all these nylon lash enhanced are the same. But this product is truly a standout! The primer mascara stays wet a bit linger than most mascaras, allowing more working time to apply the nylon. The separate tube of nylon allows you to really pile it on and create BIG lashes. I love using this product with the Queen size mascara. Will absolutely buy it again!

I was considering using fake lashes for my wedding until I tried this. I have short Asian lashes and this works miracles. It does take a bit of practice to apply this right and not have clumping. A few things that the other reviewers suggested helped:
- Be fairly quick with the application so that the mascara doesn't dry between coats
- Apply the fibers mostly to the end of lashes only
- Brush with a lash comb after each black coat application to separate lashes
I have super straight lashes, which I curl before applying mascara, but the 3 coats make them lose some of their curl. After the 3rd coat dries, I warm up my lash curler and use the warm curved metal (not the clamp) to push the lashes up to recurl them.
All this takes a long time, so I'm only use this for special occasions. That said, I still think it's worth every penny because my lashes have NEVER looked so good.

It worked great the first time I used it and I was amazing but the more you use it the more fibers that get clogged in the mascara tube changes the texture of the mascara making it not lengthen as well as the first time you use it!

I didn't have any of the problems that other users seem to be having.. It wasn't hard to wash off for me, didn't clump my lashes, etc. It actually did a good job of lengthening my lashes. Volumizing, not so much, but as far as lengthening, I've never used a better mascara. However, it is a bit too pricey for me, so I'm not sure if I will be repurchasing, but it is a great product!
