Quick Take: blends easily, highly pigmented
Purchased this eyeshadow in NEPTUNE (teal w/ gold specks) on a whim after trying it on my wrist in the store and being taken by the majestic color. Unfortunately, once I actually tried it on my lids the fairy tale was over. It's not a bad shadow, but the shiny/sheer delivery of color isn't great on my medium-dark skintone and appears green after a while. I'll be returning it shortly.

Quick Take: creates creases, defines lines
I ordered Topaz, I usually really like this color. I also like creams. Maybe it's just the shade, but it made my eyes age like 10 years. I can only use it if I dab the tiniest amount and just blot a small spot right the very bottom over my lower lid. I am probably going to sell it since it is too late to return.
I am surprised it got so many great reviews.

The color is great but it does not go on smooth but crumbles instead. Neither using a brush or my finger helped. Drying to the skin once on. I would not pay that much for it again.

Smashbox 15 hour wear cream shadow

This shadow was long wearing as claimed to be but irritated my eyes. I am extremely sensitive so probably more my fault than the product. The color I choose was plummy which is also known to cause more irritations. Would probably be a great choice for someone who's not sensitive.

I purchased this shadow, not because I needed it, but because I love all Smashbox products, and this caught my eye. Usually I am able to test all products before a purchase, but the tester for "Topaz" was missing. So, sight unseen, I took it home, tried it on, and OMG! It's important to use the smashbox primer before application. I find that you can build the color intensity better.

Note: I have extremely oily eyelids and so I always use a primer (NARS Pro Prime) under all my eyeshadows and I always get creasing after 6 hours...no matter what brand or type of shadow I use. So I grade cream formulas on that curve!
That said, this is a great, long-wearing formula with beautiful colors. I own Topaz, which is a creamy, sparkly neutral shade that can be worn alone for the "awake" look or as a base for other neutral eye looks. Doesn't feel heavy on the eyes and the color sheers out beautifully or can be layered to build up the coverage.

i just loved these cream shadows. i have tried many and this one is my fav. i bought gemstone , looked great with my green eyes. going to buy more of the colors. as they say on Idol, it's a yes from me :)

Wears like iron!

I have the "Riches" one and it is beautiful, creamy, completely crease-resistant, and wears like iron - I'm pretty sure I could go swimming in this and it wouldn't fade! One thing that I found through trial-and-error was that swiping the color on rather than patting it on allows for better coverage and a fuller color payoff (most other cream shadows tend to sheer out when swiped but not this one!) It also blends really easy but dries down fast, which is good for me because it means that it won't crease immediately due to my eye shape.
I love this and will definitely purchase again!

So, I have fallen in love with Smashbox's Cream shadows. I have Neptune (green with a hint of blue) and their darker brown. This is an extremely great product. It is very rich, creamy and has extremely long wear. It does not seem to crease and goes on smoothly. They, surprisingly, also blend well with powdered shadows. Try mixing them with greys and blacks: it gives a fantastic smokey look. I will definitely be buying more of these eyeshadows in the future.

I have used Smashbox before though it was the powdered eyeshadow and was pleased. I wanted to try this cream eyeshadow and have been extremely pleased. It goes on smoothly and lasts the whole day with no creases. I would highly recomend it.
